Did A Chief Keef Tweet Leaves A Group Of College Students Homeless?

Photo via Chief Keef’s Instagram

Chief Keef is proving more and more to be reckless as ever. Keef took to his twitter to ask fans to throw eggs & sh*t in a bag as well as rocks at a house in Minneapolis. Police quickly caught wind of the tweet and decided to monitor the house for a while. Reportedly fans drove by the house but only took pictures. Allegedly after the police left, is when the fans went nuts. Chief never went into much detail about the tweet, and has since deleted it. Whatever brought about the issue, the college students who resided in the home are said to have moved out as they allegedly fear for their safety. Come on Chief!

I’m Done: A Defeated Cam Newton Cuts Press Conference (Video)

“They just played better than us,” a resigned Cam Newton admitted to a room filled with reporters. Last night (Feb. 7), following Cam’s Super Bowl début, he would abruptly end the press conference. After fielding several redundant questions the Carolina Panthers quarterback would curtly explain his thoughts then leave.

“I don’t know what you want me to say,” continued Cam. “They made more plays than us and that’s what it comes down to,” said Newton. He would later explain, “We had our opportunities; it wasn’t nothing special that they did.” The respected QB would then cite an array of errors his team committed during its Super Bowl 50 experience.

Eventually, a seemingly agitated Newton would abruptly leave the press conference.

#BlackLivesMatter: Beyoncé Gets Political For Super Bowl Show (Video)

(AllHipHop News) Beyoncé has tapped her socially conscious side. Yesterday (Feb. 7),  Bey delivered a politically charged performance during her set at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show. It culminated with her new track “Formation.”

[ALSO READ: Beyonce Announces #Formation World Tour]

During the iconic delivery, Queen B,  paid homage to a list of people and causes. The humble artist donned a costume that was inspired by the one that Michael Jackson wore back in 1993. The enlightened chanteuse also included a nod to the Black Panther Party. In October of this year, the Panthers will celebrate its 50th anniversary.

Choreographed beret-wearing dancers demonstrated their solidarity. With unity their powerful fists made a statement. Later in the routine, Beyoncé and her dancers emphatically spelled out “X.” The slain Civil Rights leader, Malcolm X, was murdered on Feb. 21, 1965. This month will mark the 51st anniversary of his assassination.

Tina Lawson, Bey’s mother, also snapped a photo with several dancers dressed as Black Panthers. These  passionate performers used to the spotlight to help bring more awareness to the death of Mario Woods. In December of 2015, Mr. Woods was killed at the hands of the San Francisco Police department.

Below, check out the performance and the Instagram pictures.

Hey Artist: Your Mama Shouldn’t Do Your Marketing For You

When I was a child, I really wanted a slinky. Not the plastic two toned neon slinky, I wanted the metal one. In the red brick row home that I grew up in, we had a huge wooden staircase that (in my mind) was built for a slinky to “walk” down.

Money was tight, so I knew it was pointless to ask for a toy outside of my birthday or Christmas. But as fate would have it, my school was having a candy sale fundraiser. I ran to my mother for permission to sign up and she happily agreed.

I came home with the order form and within two days, my mother Edythe had gotten enough candy orders to earn my slinky. I was overjoyed. My mother ran the biggest salon in Philadelphia called Glemby inside of a department store in downtown Philadelphia called John Wannamaker’s. I know she got all of her stylists and customers to order candy. After all, my mom was and is a hustler. With minimal effort, I had my slinky in record time! Truth be told, the school got over on us kids because for the amount of candy you had to sell, you could have purchased 20 slinkys.

That was the only time I depended on my mother for sales. I was all of 4 years old. As an adult, I’ve come to realize that as a business owner, it’s extremely foolish to rely on your friends and family members to make sales.

The average person has about 25-30 relatives. The earth has over 7.4 Billion people who inhabit it. Which group do you think is more likely to get you to the success you’re looking for?

Don’t be frustrated, upset or disappointed with friends and family for not buying your product or service. Most people mean well but they know too much about you. Sometimes that stops them, even if only on a subconscious level from putting funds toward your dreams.

I consider myself lucky that my mother still supports my endeavors. Though long retired, she makes sure her book club buys each one of my books when they’re published. Though I’m grateful, I’d be an idiot to think that 30 sales would make me a #1 best selling author. I still have to promote and campaign and tour. Don’t even get me started on advertising costs!

The work should go beyond your home, your mother’s house and your Facebook friends. If you want to succeed in business, you have to put away childish things. (1 Corinthians 13:11).

My goals are much bigger now than walking a slinky down the steps. Yours should be too!

Black Lives Matter To Jay Z: “Where Them Dollas At?”

Now, Jay Z is an ally to the movement now so don’t get it twisted. But headlines and misinformation can be the prevailing truth these days. Last week, it was reported that Jay Z and Tidal cut a $1.5 million check to various groups, including Black Lives Matter. I have sources that tell me that no monies hit the account of Black Lives Matter proper. Proper means, the official BLM. There may be some offshoot that got some money to the tune of $1.5 million, but not the official BLM. This is the closest they came to giving a statement.

Black Lives Matter

Here is a list of the other groups that apparently have received money from Tidal.

Opportunity Agenda, Hands Up United, Sankofa.Org, Community Coalition, Dream Defenders, Black Youth Project, Baltimore Justice Fund, Empowerment Development Corporation, Million Hoodies, NY Justice League, Ohio Students Association/Organizing Collaborative, the Trayvon Martin Foundation, the Michael O.D. Brown We Love Ours Sons and Daughters Foundation, and the Oscar Grant Foundation.

I suppose its all good. All of these orgs need our support and love, if we are really about what we say we are about.

Perhaps the most talked about 2016 Super Bowl ad was from Mountain Dew. The soda brand’s #PuppyMonkeyBaby was one of the top trending topics on Twitter.

Following the show, fans were able to get the tour dates on Bey’s concert in a matter of minutes.

Following the announcement, the Internet had already began to respond to the news about the tour, alongside the already enormous flood of memes about the Carolina Panthers losing to the Denver Broncos 10-24.

If she is, it will be the first project released since her self-titled project in 2013.

It looks like we may need to keep our eyes of the TV screen tonight. Beyonce is known for having big surprises. You know, like bringing Destiny’s Child back the last time she performed at the Super Bowl.

Jeremih Might Be Featured On Kanye West’s Album ‘Waves’

Along with the several stars that will be possibly included in Kanye West’s album Waves, Jeremih might be added to the already extensive (still active) list. In a recent interview with Billboard, the “Late Nights” artist had claimed that he worked with Kanye as well as Nicki Minaj.

“For the last week we’ve been doing some writing for Nicki [Minaj], for Kanye [West].”

Although Jeremih has done some writing for the rap star, it’s not official their latest work will be included on Waves. However, Jeremih plans on using it if it is not included on the highly anticipated project.

“I’m not sure really where he’s at with his album right now, or if he’s actually going to use the work that we’ve done — but if he doesn’t use it, I sure will.”

Red Lobster Failed To Take Advantage Of Beyonce’s New Single “Formation”

Like many times before, Beyonce broke the internet after her latest single “Formation” randomly dropped on the internet yesterday. With the popular video out and already hitting a viral status, several people on social media had their two cents to say about the Beyonce’s song, that’s when restaurant chain Red Lobster unfortunately added their lackluster response via Twitter.

Not only did the tweet disappoint many spectators on the social platform, but it was posted hours after Bey’s video caused chaos. Unfortunately, the internet definitely responded to Red Lobster’s blasphemy.

Hey college students, Red Lobster might have to re-up on their employees after this screw-up.

Missy Elliott Randomly Dropped New Song “Pep Rally” Last Night

If you’re expecting Missy Elliott to show up unexpectedly to perform with Beyonce during this year’s Super Bowl, you might be a little disappointed. However, the beloved (and elusive) rapper has dropped a new song to celebrate today’s epic day. Missy’ new single, titled “Pep Rally”, randomly released last night on the artist’s YouTube Page.

Although we’re being blessed with new music (and appearances) from Missy, we have yet to hear any news about a project coming soon. However, the artist has managed to gather momentum after releasing her popular single “WTF (Where They From)”. Time will only tell whether we’ll get a new album or not.

Young Thug And Quavo Drop Visuals to “F*ck Cancer” Song For Boosie

Young Thug continues to make headlines with a looming project that will feature Drake and Kanye West. This track was inspired by Lil Boosie’s bout with cancer and it’s in support of Boosie’s fight with the disease. The disease gets a big F-you for the track title and features Quavo from the Migos.

Yo Gotti Drops “DMs” Video With Cameos From Cee-Lo, YG, MGK And More

The humor of this song with Angela Simmons references set it off, but now Gotti hits us with some visuals that are just as crazy as the DM’s on Twitter. MGK, Cee-Lo, YG, and DJ Khaled make their appearances in this one and its classic. With a wedding plot that lives up to some of the better videos we’ve seen in a while, this is going down in history for Gotti. “Snapchat me that p*ssy if it’s… cool.”
