The King of Chill is a composer, producer, engineer, MC, radio host and more. He started his career in the 1980s, as an MC/producer with The Alliance, then transitioned into a producer when he worked with MC Lyte and Audio Two on their early albums. He has continued making an impact on music working with a range of artists from Pharoahe Monch to DJ Premier. King of Chill sat down with Tim Einenkel from Preemo's HeadQCourterz Studios to talk about his career, working with MC Lyte and Audio Two, early days of rap being played on the radio, and collaborating with DJ Premier. We also find out why King of Chill went to a recording session handcuffed to a woman.
