Canibus

Details Emerge On Canibus’ Pay-Per-View Battle Royal; Headlines vs. Dizaster On June 9

(AllHipHop News) Famed as participating in one of the most historic MC battles in the history of Hip-Hop as he attacked LL Cool J with a lyrical arsenal, Canibus is back at it again as he headlines the “Fresh Coast Vendetta: Battle Royale“, sponsored by King of the Dot.

Details for the event include its live broadcast pitting Canibus against an MC named Dizaster, who has faced some of the most well respected and seasoned battle MCs in the game.

Some fans of rap battles might remember the historic battle between former Ruff Ryder, Jin, and Dizaster back in 2009, but this one is even more hyped with Pay-Per View on the bill.

For those unable to make the live showdown, the event will also be available live via the KOTD Ustream channel in association with Pay-Per View.

There will also be a chat where participants can interact with fans from across the world, live as the battles happen.  The event is also set to feature exclusive interviews and two camera angles with a live editor on site.

“You better come with some f**king bars! I don’t want to hear no f**king excuses when this sh*t ‘s f**king over; no excuses! This is your chance to prove yourself homey. That’s the great thing about Hip-Hop. That if you get blackballed, that if any stupid s**t happens to you in Hip-Hop, no matter what somebody says to you at the end of the day the power of the word is what remains.
“So you can save yourself, because ain’t nothing going to hold me back from doing what I gotta f*cking do to you bro. That’s it, ain’t nothing going to save you. Nothing—see you in Disneyland bro!” Dizaster said, threatening Canibus.

Gaining notoriety from a beef stemming from the “4,3,2,1” track featuring DMX, Redman, Method Man and LL Cool J, Canibus made his mark on the game with the  “2nd Round KO” diss track directed at LL, after the two started beefing over a line in Canibus’ verse on the track’s original version.

Referencing LL Cool’s famous mic tattoo, which LL clearly wasnt too fond of, the song ushered in the “beef,” and subsequently Hip-Hop history was made. Canibus has since been regarded as one of the premiere battle MCs of all time, and their duel is often remembered when recounting classic Hip-Hop battles.

I hope the other guy smokes Bis, dude has an ego the size of mount Rushmore and needs it deflated

    • ItGoesDownINtheDM

man you acting like bis be hanging with Jimmy Iovine and Cash money and ish …. canibus career itself is deflated …. every article i read about 50 the comments say GUNIT is dead and irrelivant LOL SMH if thats true then what about Canibus LOL … ijs let Cani have his ego right now that all he got to juice his rhymes ……………………………. side note i dont look @ artist in that way …….. cani is a dope lyricist i could careless if im the only person who knows who he is …… dude is ill and put time and energy into his craft ….. and it shows …….. how can you not respect that ………… 😉

  • TREECHOPPA

WOW, Dizaster is talking a lot of shit , i guess he didnt get the memo that Canibus isn`t your average rap nigga. Canibus will rap circles around  Dizaster.  Dizaster is good dont get me wrong. But Canibus has a point to prove and he just doesnt have a rhyme book he has dozens of rhyme books. This is going to be an epic battle

    • yes canibus will rap circles around him about how the stars use gravity and the inter-dimensions that create the fabric of society and that some how correlates dizaster as he sits there staring at canibus like ” he really talking bout this ish now”. lmfao

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

i dont know about you but if im in the crowd and cani starts going in like that im cheering my ass off !!!!!!!!!!!!!! that what you call being lyrical and an individual …. i dont want to hear the same ole smack battle lines i wanna hear dudes go in they bag and spit some exclusive ish !!!!!!!!!! i give props to cani for being to brake ill ish down in his rhymes and still keep a good flow pace and word play …. that get way more props in my book any day then some simple punchline junky ………

      • yeah but he dont make sense he just tryna sound like he smart.. its a battle u gotta kill the person you gpo against.

  • I don’t understand how you record one solid diss track and all of a sudden you are a premiere battle rapper.  Besides,  LL came back harder on his diss track Can-I-Bus on that extra disc that came with DMX’s CD.  Just not sold on this dude.

    • Celz

Your opinion is invalid.. LL called names Canibus spoke facts and dismantled his whole persona.. Canibus even called out that LL would twist his punchlines back at him, which takes zero creativity, BEFORE he did it.. All of LL’s hottest lines went somethin like “You said ———” LL was never considered a “street” rapper after that all tv shows, workout books, and lady songs after that ass kickin..

      •  What the hell is a street rapper? lol Canibus  lovers are clueless.lol

      • Celz

Far from a Canibus Lover his new shyt is hella wack to me.. But yea LL was a considered a street rapper in the begging of his career which is why I put quotations around it.. He did alot for the game Mama said knock you out is a classic.. But its kinda funny 4321 was his last song that can be considered street..

      • My opinion is my opinion.  You got yours and I got mine.  I gave Canibus his due and said he recorded a SOLID diss.  Like I said,  In my OPINION,  LL backhanded the lil guy.  You lettin LL’s womanizer image trick you into thinkin this dude can’t battle.  Just ask Kool Moe Dee.

      • jamaicanbornanbreed

sorry john….i’ma let you finish….but canibus had one of the greatest diss record(2nd round tko) of all time(kanye voice)…..all jokes aside….can-i-bus was weak….reach for the self-proclaimed g.o.a.t…..da verse he had on th 4,3,2,1 was much better than the can-i-bus crap……and whut we really talking bout john….you talking bout lyrics…or who got the most money or who carreer was better or who hung-out with teenage drug kingpins……so because mike jones had a better carreer than canibus it makes him a better rapper…..look  diz said the best thing about hip-hop is da fact that all dat dnt matter…can you best me on the mic is the only question of value….and LL COULDN’T KEEP UP WITH GERMANE……i knw you have a right to your opinion but i have the right to say ur opinion is b.s.

      • John I’ve been reading your posts and you’re talking in circles… Canibus is still dropping solid albums and LL is doing tv drama.. So now you have all the facts.. Why are you even talking about this then? Ask Kool Moe who won that battle? You can punch me in the effin’ face if he says LL. Canibus dismanteled his persona, ability and his acting career and even about being black… Wtf more is left? A bunch of retards debating old news. Anyone who thinks LL won anything but a way out of music is a f_cking fool.

      • What the hell is a street rapper?  Dismantled his persona?  I don’t remember LL claiming to be a street cat.  Some job Canibus did dismantling because LL went on to star in movie, tv shows, endorsements, lifetime achievement awards, and mo money and Canibus went on to do………..Still waiting on you to tell me what he did.  Besides, you must don’t know that LL ran around NY with the REAL Alpo and Rich Porter.  Ask a NY dude about those names.  So years down the line while LL has counted all his millions, Canibus can say one good thing he did in Hip Hop.  He got LL to give him 30 seconds of fame.  Because if it wasn’t for him, nobody would know who the fucc Canibus is.

      • Celz

I guess you might want to start by listening to 4321 and then LL’s diss to hear all of his street talk and his persona is being the self proclaimed GOAT which is about as ridiculous as calling Canibus a musician..

Who cares about money.. So is Oprah a better rapper than Canibus too? And who cares about LL chillin with D Boys what does that have to do with Canibus being a better emcee?

-I’m not a fan of either person I’m a fan of both rappers EARLY music. They both influenced your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper heavily when they were in their prime

-Canibus lyrically destroyed LL and took him on a personal level his honesty, character, emcee skill, street cred and LL called him names

If you think the battle was close you don’t understand what an emcee is..

      • ItGoesDownINtheDM

i knew of canibus pre-4321 …. and was a fan … side note im mad he never really got his shot …. maybe this battle thing could be it for him …..

      • Celz

Canibus is done for.. He shoulda stayed makin street mixtapes.. He doesn’t have enough musical talent to be a real rapper and his new shyt is amazing but it’s not entertaining it just shows how advanced he is with words and how far behind he is with music..

      • John… He destroyed LL. I grew up w/ LL but that doesn’t mean anything. I’ve been subjective about the whole thing. Bar for bar Bus destroyed L. Hands down I lost respect for L as well. L’s retort is very weak. Like Crown and 7 W/o the seven or the crown…

      • ralph166

Canibus went on to become an underground legend 12 ALBUMS + RIP THE JACKER TO INFINITY WITCH IS A 10000 BAR DVD PACKAGE WITCH IS 8 HRS LONG!! The only thing is he,s not getting media coverage thats why fans think he,s not making music any more. By the way canibus had BUZZ way before they started beefin. LL was the one who CALLED Canibus to appear on the 4321 track!! SORY JOHN YOUR SILL STUCK IN THE PAST!! DO SOME RESERCH ON ARTIST BEFORE YOU SAY THEY WENT ON DO ……….. NOTHING!! LOL

Has Canibus ever even battled live before, cause there is a vast diffrence between obsessing over Eminem for a decade and watching his every move like a stalker so you can write a song, and freestyle battling off the top against a kid who does this for a living, lol

  • KingsCountyCrooklyn

don’t know about Canibus free style skills but he hurt LL with that 2nd round knock out, LL’s come back was luke warm at most, so L used his inside influences to stop his young career.

    • TruthSerum

L didn’t have to use any influence to kill his career, his whack albums and one dimensional style did that themselves

  • I don’t know what to expect from this battle, but in theory Canibus should body Diz, the only thing is Diz is a current battle rapper.

    • Celz

I don’t know freestyling and emceeing aren’t necessarily the same thing.. Being nice with the written gives you an advantage at goin off the head but that doesn’t mean you’re the best at both by default.. I think Canibus is gonna lose

  • jamaicanbornanbreed

still say he herbed cool james on dat battle……i would like to see 0-solo and head ice and mook and goods..etc..etc…but this battle will be nice….take it back to the serious essence….all dat mundane shit out the window…get on the mic and show and prove…..cannibuis will leak out a close victory…..were math hoffa at?

  • I speak Truth…do you

Canibus went bar for bar with Killah Priest!! That says more than enough, i mean his battle with LL was no battle! LL got real feminine, ask Bis to changed his verse, so he did….and instead LL wrote something and kept that against bis first verse! thats what sparked 2nd round knockout! which EASILY showed LL the door!!! Bis is a supreme battle emcee first! Trust, i dont know who Dizaster is, but Bis will take care of that issue!!!! eminems wack ass should show up!!!
