Stars lit up the red carpet last night for the premier of Fox’s highly anticipated drama, Gang Related.

With an all-star cast including The Wire’s Ramon Rodriguez, Wu-Tang legend RZA and Lost’s Terry O’QuinnGang Related

follows the Los Angeles Police Department efforts to decentralize the precincts most treacherous gang operations.

Terry O’Quinn on his role as Sam Chapel:

I play a LAPD captain who leads the gang task force of which RZA and Ramon Rodriguez are members, and we’re trying to mitigate the influence of the gangs in LA.

 RZA on his role:

I play a guy named Cassius Green- he’s a drug enforcement agent out of New York City who was recruited by Sam Chapel, played by Terry O’Quinn, to come to California and help bring down the gangs. Being that Cassius is a guy that kinda understands that world, he becomes a great asset to the gang task force.

The series’  main protagonist, Ramon Rodriguez, plays a gangster caught in a battle of morality.

As a member of the city’s worst gang, Rodriguez initially joins the area’s task force as an informant, collecting information to spread within his set. As the plot unfolds, enemy lines become blurred as his police and gang allegiances clash, ultimately resulting in bloodshed.

Ramon on his role as Ryan Lopez:

Ryan Lopez is a LAPD detective, but we find out he’s also giving information back to his family, and his family ends up being a gang.

He was raised by his gang, so he’s torn between his two families; the family of the LAPD, his brotherhood with RZA and others,  and also with the family he was raised in, the Acosta family.

Gang Related premiers on Fox tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Watch as we chop it up with the cast and hear from the event’s celebrity attendees.
