Outlawz Member Young Noble Dead By Suicide At Age 47

E.D.I. Mean won’t be celebrating the Fourth of July following the tragic news that his Outlawz brethren Young Noble has committed suicide.

The veteran rapper, who rose to notoriety as part of Tupac Shakur’s group, broke the news via Instagram on Friday (July 4), saying he was “at a loss for words.”

“Today I got some of the worst and unexpected news imaginable,” he wrote. “my brother and partner for over 30 years took his life this morning. Rest in Power Rufus Young Noble Cooper. I obviously am in no shape to talk about this right now so PLEASE give his family and I some time to process this. Mental illness is a real battle being fought by so many. CHECK ON UR FOLKS!”

Many in the Hip-Hop community expressed their shock in the comment section, including Xzibit, who wrote, “Just heard the news brother. I’m am processing this as well. I wish him peace and comfort. Condolences to you and all of the families involved. Tragedy.”

Snoop Dogg, Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, E-40, Suge Knight Jr. and KXNG Crooked also offered their condolences.

The Outlawz were founded by Tupac Shakur and Yaki Kadafi in 1995, initially emerging from Shakur’s earlier collaborations with groups like Dramacydal and Thug Life. The group, whose name stands for “Operating Under Thug Laws As Warriors,” first gained widespread recognition through their appearance on Shakur’s track “When We Ride” from his multi-platinum album All Eyez on Me, and became especially notable for their role on the infamous diss track “Hit ‘Em Up.”

Members adopted aliases inspired by controversial world leaders, with Shakur himself taking the name “Makaveli.” The original lineup included Kastro, E.D.I. Mean, Hussein Fatal, Napoleon, Yaki Kadafi, Young Noble and the sole female member, Storm.

After Shakur’s murder in 1996, the group faced significant turmoil, including the deaths of Kadafi and Hussein Fatal, but continued to release music, including the platinum-certified album Still I Rise in collaboration with Shakur.

Young Noble, who joined the group in 1996 as the last member, survived a serious heart attack in 2021. He wrote at the time, “Thank you to all my luved ones who been praying for me I had 1 of the worst days of my life yesterday I had a serious heart attack but God is too good & the amazing doctors brung me back an they getting me right.

“I plan to put everything in my life on hold while I recover an get my health all the way right…This will only make me stronger I’m grateful for a second chance an I beg y’all please please please take your health serious all the unhealthy living an stress catches up sooner than later!”

In December 2024, Young Noble sat down for his first interview in seven years in which he got emotional talking about both the murders of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.

“It was crazy,” he said. “Biggie dying affected us, too […] I was almost questioning like, ‘Damn man, maybe I should have stayed in school and figured something else out.’ Like, ‘I don’t know if I made the right decision getting in the car with [Hussein] Fatal and Yaki [Kadafi] that day. This doesn’t feel good. I left the hood to come to California. I was tired of death and all this b#######. Two of my friends just died back to back. It was horrible. Horrible for Hip-Hop.”

AllHipHop sends our condolences to Young Noble’s loved ones.

Drake Dragged Online After Shirtless Selfie Sparks Plastic Surgery Rumors

Drake got clowned across social media over the weekend after posting a shirtless selfie showing off his abs, reigniting long-running plastic surgery rumors that have followed him through multiple rap beefs.

The Toronto rapper dropped the carousel on Instagram with the caption, “I’m wide awake for the nights that separate the type who get to it til they get it right from the type who just …type.”

But instead of applause, the post triggered a flood of jokes and accusations about his body being more sculpted by a surgeon than a gym.

“Boy stop playing! The only place you ran was to the surgeon,” one user commented.

Another wrote, “Ordered abs from temu n forgot to add shoulders n tri lol.” A third chimed in, “No shoulders, no biceps, deflated chest but extremely defined abs lmao.”

The online roasting follows speculation about alleged cosmetic enhancements, including alleged ab etching, a nose job and even a Brazilian butt lift.

The rumors haven’t just lived in comment sections. Kendrick Lamar took a direct shot in his diss track “Euphoria,” rapping, “Let your core audience stomach that/then tell ’em where you get your abs from.”

Rick Ross dubbed him “BBL Drizzy” and accused him of getting a nose job in his track “Champagne Moments.” Even Pusha T threw shade back in 2018 on “The Story of Adidon.”

Drake Denies Surgery Rumors

Drake has repeatedly denied going under the knife. In April 2024, he shared a text exchange with his mom, writing, “I would have got us a 2 for 1 deal if I went ma,” while blaming Rick Ross for fueling the gossip.

Still, the speculation has only grown louder during his lyrical feuds, and the “BBL Drizzy” meme has taken on a life of its own.

Metro Boomin even launched a “BBLDrizzyBeatGiveaway” online, adding fuel to the fire.

Drake has yet to address the latest round of mockery, but judging by his past reactions, he’s likely to keep responding with sarcasm rather than statements.

Cardi B Bares Nipples While Shopping For Rolexes With Stefon Diggs

Cardi B turned heads in Miami on Sunday (June 29), when she stepped out with new beau Stefon Diggs to shop for luxury watches while wearing a white, nipple-revealing tank top.

The Grammy-winning rapper and the Buffalo Bills wide receiver were spotted at a high-end jewelry store, where they appeared to be browsing Rolex timepieces. The two were seen chatting closely and laughing inside the boutique, drawing attention not just for their potential purchases but also for Cardi’s bold outfit choice.

A photo posted to social media shows the rapper confidently posing next to Diggs with employees of the store.

The photo, which quickly made the rounds online, had viewers buzzing about both the fashion and the company she kept. Diggs, dressed in a white hoodie and black pants, kept things casual as he accompanied Cardi through the store.

“Pretty sure it’s just Coldies nipples in that room,” one person wrote, while another said, “headlights shining bright!” Another wondered, “Cardi doesn’t have a better bra?”, while yet another joked, “she can cut through drywall with those things.” Some even suggested she is pregnant.

Cardi B and Offset’s turbulent relationship was marked by multiple breakups and reconciliations since their marriage in 2017. Their most recent split was confirmed by Cardi B in December 2023, when she announced on Instagram Live that she had been single for some time, citing a desire to put herself first and move on from what she described as “dead weight” in her life.

The separation followed a pattern of public ups and downs, including previous splits in 2018 and 2020, but this time the couple also unfollowed each other on social media, signaling a more definitive break.

Despite their history of rekindling the relationship, Cardi B has clearly moved forward with her personal life, publicly acknowledging a relationship with Diggs earlier this month. Meanwhile, her divorce proceedings with Offset remain ongoing, with both parties involved in legal discussions over custody of their three children and financial matters.

Cardi has expressed frustration over the drawn-out process and Offset’s recent requests for joint custody and spousal support, emphasizing her wish to fully close this chapter of her life.

Meanwhile, Cardi B officially announced her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, will arrive on September 19, marking her first full-length project since her 2017 debut, Invasion of Privacy. The announcement was made with bold cover art and a series of dramatic teasers across her social media platforms, where Cardi declared a new chapter in her career and personal evolution.

The album will feature hit singles such as “WAP” and “Up,” as well as her latest release, “Outside,” which debuted at #1 on Apple Music and references both her past relationship with Offset and Diggs.

Tyler Perry’s Second Major Problem Speaks

Christian Keyes Reignites Tensions With Tyler Perry Without Saying His Name

Christian Keyes is talking again and this time he’s making it count.

The All the Queen’s Men creator recently took to social media criticizing how the network handled his hit series. While Keyes never mentioned exectutive producer Tyler Perry, the message was loud, clear and pointed straight at the top. And, loaded.

“It is continuously disappointing to find out that your show is coming back on the internet instead of finding out from the network,” Keyes said in a TikTok post. He added that he wasn’t even sent the official trailer.

“To see the trailer online and have to go search for [it], so I can try and download the trailer for the hit show that I created for this studio and this network instead of getting it sent when everybody else is getting theirs.”

Keyes was calling out the machine behind the scenes, but some think the white whale is Tyler Perry.

READ ALSO: Actor Christian Keyes Claims He Was Sexually Assaulted By “A Mentor”

Keyes’ relationship with Perry appears to have quietly frayed. Though Perry executive produces the show, Keyes has long maintained that he created the series himself over 15 years ago. We believe this. And in this latest video, he also shared that his “created by” credit was stripped away in season two. SMH! The credit was regained after involving the Writers Guild of America. That’s a heavy move for someone operating under Perry’s shadow. I am glad he made bold moves to protect his IP.

But there is bigger drama.

Tyler Perry currently faces a multimillion-dollar lawsuit from a man accusing him of sexual harassment. The case is pending and the motivations behind it have been questioned. Some say the lawsuit is a thinly veiled attempt to out Perry as gay. Tyler Perry is not gay, he had said over and over.

Keyes never touches on the lawsuit. But the timing and tone of his statements have triggered rumors. About two years ago, Keyes hinted at dropping bombshells on someone powerful, a mentor. Many assumed was Perry. They go back to those Madea plays. Nevertheless, those revelations never came. Now, he’s once again venting. He’s checking BET and BET+, but the big boss is Perry.

Not not, because Keyes is taking his ball and going to play elsewhere. “It’s not up to the studio. It’s not up to the network. It’s up to me, thankfully,” he said. His prequel and spinoff projects will find new homes on other streaming platforms.

This saga is another case of behind-the-scenes industry politics. Keyes might have a deeper story, but not ready to tell it yet. Whatever the truth is, he seems determined to protect himself even if it means playing chess. Of course, the world wants him to flip the board over!

Keep pushing!

Feezy Lebron Tentatively Settles $10M Against Aggressive Cops

Feezy Lebron reached a tentative settlement with Los Angeles County over a lawsuit accusing sheriff’s deputies of threatening to shoot him during a 2022 traffic stop.

The deal, which still requires approval from both the Los Angeles County Claims Board and Board of Supervisors, stems from a federal civil rights complaint filed by the rapper, whose legal name is Darral Scott.

The $10 million lawsuit alleges that on December 31, 2022, deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department approached Lebron while he was sitting in a parked car in Gardena, live streaming to his followers and waiting for a friend.

According to court documents, deputies ordered him to open the door and then escalated the situation with physical force and verbal threats.

“One deputy opened the driver’s side door, grabbed Lebron by the arm and attempted to pull him out of his car,” the lawsuit stated. “Moments later, a second deputy walked up to Lebron, pulled out a canister of pepper spray and said, ‘I’m just going to spray you.’”

The complaint further claims that deputies repeatedly threatened to shoot him at close range if he moved or tried to drive away. The encounter was captured on body camera footage, according to the filing.

Feezy Lebron says the incident left him traumatized and fearful of law enforcement. His attorney has urged the sheriff’s department to discipline the deputies involved and address broader issues of misconduct within the agency.

The county has not admitted any wrongdoing. Attorneys representing Los Angeles County argued the deputies were protected by qualified immunity but agreed to the tentative settlement to avoid prolonged litigation.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department declined to comment on the case, citing ongoing legal proceedings.

However, the department stated it expects its personnel to treat the public with dignity and will hold those who violate policy accountable.

The proposed settlement does not yet include finalized payout terms and will remain pending review by county officials in the coming weeks.

Coi LeRay Post Baby Body Thirst Traps As Trippie Redd Gets Arrested

Coi Leray lit up Instagram on July 4 with a sultry return to social media, flaunting her post-baby body while Trippie Redd was being booked in Miami on an old warrant.

The Hip-Hop artist, who recently gave birth to her daughter Miyoco, uploaded a carousel of images that had her 7.7 million followers buzzing.

Wearing a cropped white tee that read “BADLY DOLL” in bold red letters, Leray posed confidently in a patio chair, showcasing her toned stomach and revealing her cleavage.

Her outfit included rolled-up gray sweats, red-and-black sneakers and socks that popped against the muted tones. Her long black hair fell in soft waves, parted down the middle and framing her face.

The final photo in the set featured baby Miyoco celebrating her first Independence Day.

The post marked only her second upload since giving birth on June 16.

While Leray was celebrating motherhood and the holiday, Trippie Redd—real name Michael Lamar White IV—was being arrested at Miami International Airport.

According to reports, deputies took him into custody at Terminal J, Gate 17, just before he was scheduled to board a flight to Europe.

The arrest stemmed from a 2023 Miami-Dade County warrant tied to a case involving an invalid driver’s license. U.S. Customs and Border Protection flagged his presence, prompting local law enforcement to take action.

He was booked at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and released later that day on a $150 bond. Authorities confirmed there were no new charges or allegations of violence or drug-related activity.

Coi Leray and Trippie Redd welcomed their daughter Miyoco less than three weeks ago.

The name blends “Mi” from Michael and “Co” from Coi and also means “beautiful child” in Japanese.

Leray announced her pregnancy on January 1 and has since spoken openly about the challenges of new motherhood, including quitting weed and alcohol and struggling with breastfeeding.

Fourth Of July Fireworks Turns Into Horror Show In Alabama

Lake Martin in Alabama became the site of a terrifying Independence Day disaster after a fireworks explosion injured several people during a crowded show near the Highway 49 Bridge.

The blast erupted around 9:14 p.m. on July 4 in the Blue Creek area of the Alabama lake, where fireworks were being launched from a floating barge.

The explosion, which officials say began when a firework detonated too low in the sky, ignited the barge and led to a fast-moving fire that turned a festive night into chaos.

At least five people were hurt, with some suffering serious injuries.

Emergency crews, including multiple helicopters and ambulances, rushed to the scene to transport victims to nearby hospitals.

The exact number of people injured and the extent of their injuries have not been released.

According to ABC News, the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the incident remains under investigation. Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of additional victims, as some reports mentioned individuals may still be unaccounted for.

The annual fireworks show at Lake Martin is a long-standing tradition, drawing large crowds from across the region. This year’s display was expected to be one of the biggest yet, with families and boaters gathering early in the day to secure viewing spots on the water.

Officials urged the public to remain cautious for the rest of the holiday weekend, especially around water and fireworks.

The cause of the malfunction has not yet been confirmed, but investigators are focusing on the fireworks that exploded prematurely, setting the barge ablaze.

De La Soul Honors 2 Fallen Hip-Hop Superheroes With “Rock Co. Kane Flow” Video

De La Soul resurrected a Hip-Hop classic and two fallen legends Thursday (July 3) with the animated release of “Rock Co.Kane Flow,” their 2004 collaboration with MF DOOM, as part of the 20th anniversary reissue of The Grind Date.

The video, which dropped alongside the re-release, reimagines the group—including the late Trugoy the Dove—and DOOM as superhero-style wrestlers in a fully animated world. Director Elliot Hutchings said the team avoided artificial intelligence and deepfake technology, opting instead for hand-crafted animation to honor the original era.

“With this project, we knew we wanted to create something special,” Hutchings said. “Posdnuos had a clear vision of the vibe and comedic tone of the video, looking to recreate the group’s look during The Grind Date’s release back in 2004 (with a wrestling superhero twist).

“We knew we didn’t want to go down the road of AI and Deepfaking, instead opting to create fully animated versions of all the characters, no small undertaking. We took influence from various superhero films and media, and drew upon hours of classic wrestling footage for reference. After months of animating, rendering and complex Visual effects work, we were finally able to bring De La Soul and MF DOOM to the big screen just as they were in 2004.”

The original Grind Date album dropped in 2004 and featured a lineup of heavyweights, including Ghostface Killah, Common, Carl Thomas and, of course, MF DOOM. The 20th anniversary edition includes two new tracks, with “Bigger” featuring Choklate leading the rollout.

The tribute is especially poignant following the deaths of two of the track’s key voices. MF DOOM, born Daniel Dumile, died on October 31, 2020, though his passing wasn’t publicly announced until New Year’s Eve. Known for his masked persona and cryptic rhymes, DOOM was widely respected for his influence on underground Hip-Hop and his collaborations with artists like Madlib and Danger Mouse.

Trugoy the Dove, born David Jolicoeur and a founding member of De La Soul, died on February 12, 2023, at age 54. His passing came just weeks before the group’s catalog finally arrived on streaming platforms after years of legal battles. Trugoy’s voice and vision helped shape the group’s legacy, and his absence is deeply felt in this anniversary celebration.

The 20th anniversary edition of The Grind Date is available now.

Fans Drag Lauryn Hill For Late Essence Festival Set – But Sources Blame Organizers

Lauryn Hill arrived onstage at 2:31 a.m. during the 2025 Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans, delivering a full set to a nearly deserted Caesars Superdome after hours of delays left the crowd drained and the venue mostly cleared out.

The Friday night kickoff on July 4 unraveled into a logistical mess, with a jam-packed lineup that included Maxwell, Babyface, The Isley Brothers, GloRilla, Lucky Daye, and Coco Jones, each running behind schedule.

Hill, who was added to the bill just two days before showtime, ended up closing the night with a set that wrapped at 3:37 a.m. on Saturday.

According to The Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate reporter Keith Spera, “the Superdome – which was never more than half full at any point Friday – was essentially empty.”

♬ oh my god bruh oh hell na man – ok9172917

Lauryn Hill’s reputation for late arrivals followed her into the night. She’s previously shown up hours late to concerts in cities like Atlanta and London, and has addressed the criticism head-on.

“Y’all lucky I make it on this stage every night!” she once told a crowd, defending her timing.

She’s blamed delays on everything from perfectionism to energy alignment to transportation issues. In past interviews, she’s cited a lost driver and the need to feel “right” before performing.

Still, sources close to the event told AllHipHop the blame for the late start doesn’t fall squarely on Hill. Promoters reportedly failed to adjust the schedule after adding her to an already overloaded lineup, causing a domino effect of delays that pushed every act back.

Despite the sparse audience, Lauryn Hill delivered a full performance, but the late hour left social media buzzing with criticism. Many blamed her directly, even though the entire night ran off schedule.

Eminem’s Verse On JID’s EP Sparks Heated Reactions Over Kanye West “Cousins” Line

Eminem ignited debate with a pointed Kanye West reference on JID’s new track “Animals (Pt. I)” from the rapper’s just-dropped EP Preluxe, released Friday (July 4) as a prelude to his upcoming album God Does Like Ugly.

The JID and Eminem collaboration features two marathon-length verses packed with lyrical acrobatics, but one line from Eminem’s nearly three-minute appearance drew immediate backlash. About a third of the way through his verse, Eminem raps, “With these magazines, I act out like Ye and his cousin,” a direct nod to Kanye’s 2025 track “COUSINS,” where West referenced an inappropriate relationship with a family member.

The reaction online was swift and polarized. “Em is foul for that,” one user posted. Another asked, “What goes through your mind to say this?” while a third wrote, “This is NOT a bar.”

Still, others praised the Detroit rapper’s technical skill, saying he “left Earth” and “snapped” on the track. The song marks a return favor from Eminem after JID appeared on “Fuel,” a standout cut from Em’s latest project, The Death of Slim Shady.

Eminem’s relationship with Kanye West has long been complicated. The two have collaborated in the past, most notably on “Forever” alongside Drake and Lil Wayne, and have publicly expressed mutual respect. But Eminem has also taken lyrical jabs at Kanye over the years, often using him as a symbol of celebrity excess or erratic behavior. This latest line continues that pattern, though it’s one of the more direct and controversial references to date.

The four-track Preluxe EP also features appearances from 6LACK and Lil Yachty, and serves as a teaser for JID’s fourth studio album, which is set to drop August 8. While the full tracklist remains under wraps, expectations are high following the critical success of his 2022 release, The Forever Story.

Eminem’s verse on “Animals (Pt. I)” may have stirred debate, but it’s consistent with the provocative style that’s defined his career for more than two decades.

As for “COUSINS,” the song was released on April 21 and is one of his most controversial and confessional works to date. The track is built on a sample of Double Virgo’s “Were There Originals” and interpolates Dave Blunts’ “10 Percs,” with Blunts also credited as the lyricist for the song.

West recounts an incestuous relationship with his younger male cousin during their childhood, which began after they discovered explicit magazines and escalated to sexual acts, a narrative he describes with unflinching directness in both the lyrics and his social media posts.

The song’s lyrics and West’s public statements detail feelings of guilt, secrecy, and confusion, as well as the long-term emotional impact of these early experiences; West links this personal trauma to his cousin, who is now serving a life sentence for murder.

The accompanying music video, initially released in low quality on Twitter, features provocative and disturbing imagery, further amplifying the song’s raw and unsettling themes. “COUSINS” has ignited widespread debate about trauma, confession, and the boundaries of artistic expression, with many questioning whether West’s revelations serve as genuine catharsis or are intended for shock value.

Diddy’s Legal Strategy Praised By OJ Simpson’s Lawyer, Weird Connection To Trials Exposed

Diddy walked out of a Manhattan courtroom cleared of the most serious federal charges against him after a two-month trial that drew national attention and legal comparisons to one of the most watched cases in American history.

The Hip-Hop mogul was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges on July 2, 2025, in New York’s federal court.

The jury did convict him on two lesser counts of transporting individuals to engage in prostitution. His sentencing is scheduled for October 3.

The defense team’s decision not to have Diddy testify was a calculated move that drew praise from legal heavyweight Robert Shapiro, who famously helped secure OJ Simpson’s 1995 acquittal.

“The defense team did a terrific job on a case the U.S. Attorney overcharged. An acquittal in Federal Court is highly unusual. Congratulations to Mark and Tenny for building an incredible group of talented lawyers,” Shapiro told Fox News.

Diddy’s legal team, led by Teny Geragos and Marc Agnifilo, included a lineup of seasoned attorneys: Brian Steel, Anna Estevao, Jason Driscoll, Xavier R. Donaldson and Alexandra Shapiro.

Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz also weighed in on the trial’s outcome, comparing the strategy to Simpson’s defense.

“Ultimately, the smart decision was not putting OJ on the witness stand. The smart decision here was not putting Combs on the witness stand. The difference is we want a complete victory. They got a partial victory, but an almost complete victory, so I commend them for excellent work,” Dershowitz said.

The trial, which began on May 5, centered on whether Diddy operated a criminal enterprise or engaged in consensual adult relationships.

Prosecutors argued the Hip-Hop mogul used his influence to exploit women. The defense countered that the government exaggerated the case and blurred the line between personal behavior and criminal conduct.

The jury sided with the defense on the most serious allegations, delivering a rare federal acquittal that legal experts say is a difficult achievement.

Shapiro’s involvement in the OJ Simpson case remains one of the most scrutinized moments in legal history.

OJ Simpson, a former NFL star, was acquitted of double murder in 1995 after a trial that captivated the nation. Shapiro helped assemble the “Dream Team” that included Johnnie Cochran and F. Lee Bailey.

Ironically, Diddy’s sentencing hearing is set for October 3, 2025, the same day O.J. Simpson was acquitted.

YouTuber Responds To Criticism Over Viral Baby Oil Moment Outside Diddy Trial

YouTube personality Armon Wiggins drew criticism outside a Manhattan courthouse Tuesday (July 1) after a viral video showed him laughing and dousing himself in baby oil following the partial verdict in Diddy’s federal trial.

The commentator, who has built a sizable following with over 285,000 subscribers and 105,000 Instagram followers, was seen celebrating with a group of people after Diddy was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges. However, Diddy was convicted of transporting individuals with the intent to engage in prostitution.

The courthouse celebration, which included baby oil—a nod to the alleged “freak-off” parties described in Diddy’s 14-page indictment—sparked immediate backlash online. Critics accused Wiggins of mocking the victims and appearing to support Combs.

On Wednesday (July 3), Wiggins responded to the uproar in a statement posted to social media.

“I’m learning, I’m listening, and I’m moving forward with even more care and clarity,” he wrote. “What started as a lighthearted moment, part of a long-running joke with my audience, was misinterpreted as support for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. That was never my intention.”

He added, “For the past 60 days, I’ve worked hard to cover this case with honesty and objectivity… I fully understand how the timing and optics may have felt hurtful, especially to survivors of abuse. I sincerely apologize to anyone who was impacted or disappointed.”

A post shared by Armon Wiggins (@thearmonwigginsshow)

The video, which quickly circulated across social platforms, drew attention not just for its timing but for its reference to a bizarre detail from the case. Federal investigators reportedly seized more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil during raids on Combs’ properties. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, dismissed the relevance of the discovery, saying, “I don’t know what you need a thousand for… He buys in bulk, you know?”

Wiggins, who has been covering the case extensively from New York, has maintained that his reporting was meant to inform, not offend.

Combs’ trial concluded with a mixed verdict. While he was cleared of the most serious charges, including racketeering and sex trafficking, the jury found him guilty of transporting individuals across state lines for the purpose of prostitution. Sentencing is expected October 3.

Immigrants Are Using Apps to Dodge ICE Raids and MAGA Is Big Mad About It

Somebody I know almost got caught up in an ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) raid the other day. But thanks to an app, they dodged it. Real story. Real people. Real consequences.

Here’s the deal. Immigration enforcement raids are still happening all across the U.S. and they’re throwing people’s lives into chaos. It’s not just headlines and policy talk. It’s regular people—working, shopping, trying to live—getting swooped up over paperwork.

Now get this. A friend of mine, we’ll call him “M,” was about to run a quick errand. Just a normal trip to the store. But M isn’t exactly squared away on the immigration paperwork. He’s not hiding, he’s not doing anything shady. He’s working, helping his community and handling his business. Honest guy.

But before he walked out the door, he checked this app, ICEBlock. The alert popped up: ICE spotted near the store. So, boom, he didn’t go.

Turns out ICE was there. They raided that spot and picked up a few people.

Instead, M rerouted to another store. The app showed it was clear, so he went. The homie grabbed what he needed, went back to work. Another day. That app may have saved his freedom.

The MAGA crew is heated. Furious. Foaming a the mouth. The idea that immigrants might use tech to protect themselves from federal raids has them losing their minds. They can’t believe there’s a tool out there helping people not get snatched off the street in front of their families.

If someone’s working hard, staying out of trouble, and adding to their community, why would anyone root for them to get dragged into the system over paperwork?

This isn’t some sci-fi resistance story. This is real life. Immigrants and their allies are turning to tech, crowd-sourced alerts, apps, anything that can help them avoid unjust detentions. These are essential workers, caregivers, neighbors and people who’ve built lives here. Trump knows, because some people like farmers are getting a break from these raids.

We’ve got an immigration system that doesn’t work and a federal force rolling through neighborhoods like it’s a war zone. People are doing what they have to do. And if an app gives them a fighting chance, why wouldn’t they use it?

The government’s got agents and vans. But the people? We’ve got each other. And now we’ve got apps, too. Pray for this place.

EXCLUSIVE: Offset Still Hunting “Chasethemoney” Over High Stakes Battle Over Solo Album

Offset is asking a judge to greenlight an alternative way to serve legal documents to ChaseTheMoney after repeated efforts to deliver the lawsuit in person and by mail fell flat in California.

The legal dispute arises from a contract dispute over the track “Worth It” from Offset’s 2023 solo album, Set It Off.

Offset claims that a valid producer agreement was in place, negotiated by ChaseTheMoney’s then-manager, J. Hill and that all parties had agreed to the terms.

But when a new manager entered the picture, ChaseTheMoney allegedly demanded a massive increase—more than five times the original producer fee and over double the royalty rate.

Offset’s legal team says they’ve exhausted every traditional method to notify ChaseTheMoney about the lawsuit.

According to court filings, they attempted to hand-deliver the documents to his Studio City business address on multiple occasions but were unable to get past building security.

Certified mail sent to both his business and home addresses went unclaimed. Even a request to his attorney to accept service was denied, with the lawyer stating he wasn’t authorized to receive the papers.

Now, Offset is requesting that the court permit service via email or another non-traditional method.

His attorneys argue that this approach is “fair and reasonable,” citing similar cases where courts approved alternative service when a defendant proved difficult to reach.

The lawsuit centers on whether the original agreement, brokered by J. Hill, was legitimate.

Offset’s camp insists it was, citing written communications and prior confirmations from ChaseTheMoney that acknowledged Hill’s role as his manager.

However, ChaseTheMoney has since disputed that Hill had any authority despite earlier correspondence suggesting otherwise.

Offset is requesting that the court declare the producer agreement valid, confirm that his manager had the authority to finalize the deal and affirm that he has fulfilled all contractual obligations.

He’s also requesting any other relief the court deems appropriate.

Drake Drops Banger With “What Did I Miss,” Filled With Subliminals, Fans React

Drake dropped his new single “What Did I Miss?” at midnight on July 5 with a cryptic livestream and a barrage of subliminal shots aimed at rivals and former allies.

The Toronto rapper premiered the track during a livestream titled Iceman: Episode 1, where he cruised through the city in a branded truck, teasing what many believe is the name of his next album.

The visual presentation featured scenes of Drake inside a freezer set, surrounded by flashing lights and icy props, which added to the mystique of the rollout.

The lyrics of “What Did I Miss?” center on betrayal, shifting loyalties and the aftermath of his public feud with Kendrick Lamar.

One line in particular raised eyebrows: “I saw bro in the Pop Out with them but been d*ckriding gang since ‘Headlines.”

The reference appears to target LeBron James, who attended Kendrick’s Pop Out concert in Los Angeles, held on Juneteenth 2024.

The single was teased hours before its release with a cryptic Instagram post that read “Be Here at 9,” which sent social media into a frenzy.

The post, paired with the livestream, fueled speculation that Iceman is the title of Drake’s upcoming project. Drake’s supporters on platforms like X and TikTok have defended the track, calling it a return to form.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar’s base has been vocal in their disapproval, calling the song “lazy” and “uninspired” in Reddit threads and comment sections.

DDG Demands Answers After Apple Music Emoji Search Backfires

DDG called out Apple Music on Thursday (July 3) after users noticed that typing the poop emoji into the platform’s search bar pulled up his music alongside novelty songs like “The Poop Song,” prompting the rapper to demand answers.

“Who at Apple Music trolling me since I dropped my new song?” he posted on X, formerly Twitter, along with crying emojis. “Apple Music fix this gang.”

The bizarre search result surfaced the same day he released a new track, adding insult to injury. He later reposted a screenshot from Pop Crave showing the same emoji-linked results and added, “Noooooo not on the same day I drop my song.”

The emoji mishap reignited a long-running internet joke that DDG’s initials stand for “Doo Doo Garbage,” a nickname first introduced by YouTuber SoLLUMINATI in June 2023. The phrase quickly caught on and became a meme, especially after Spotify searches for “💩💩” also led to DDG’s artist page.

The trolling didn’t stay online. During Dream Con, a man called DDG “Doo Doo Garbage” to his face, which led to a scuffle involving his brother DuB. The altercation was caught on video and later cited in court during DDG’s custody battle with actress and singer Halle Bailey.

Despite the meme’s persistence, DDG has repeatedly clarified that his stage name is simply an abbreviation of his full name, Daryl Dwayne Granberry. He’s addressed the ridicule with a mix of sarcasm and irritation, often responding directly to the jokes on social media.

Apple Music has yet to issue a statement regarding the emoji search glitch.

DDG, a Michigan native, first gained attention on YouTube before transitioning into music. Known for blending rap with melodic hooks, he’s built a sizable following through both his tracks and online presence. The emoji search issue was still active as of Friday (July 4).

John Legend Shares Emotional Response To Kanye West’s Recent Attacks

John Legend opened up about Kanye West mocking his scent and sweaters, calling the entire situation “sad.”

The Grammy-winning singer addressed West’s bizarre jab—”They said he smells like mashed potatoes”—during an appearance on Hot 97’s “Ebro in the Morning” earlier this week.

“He was very obsessed with me wearing sweaters,” Legend said. “And he said I smell like mashed potatoes. What kind of potatoes? Cheesy, garlic?”

He continued, insisting he wasn’t offended, adding, “All of it makes me sad, though. All of it does.”

West didn’t stop at the mashed potatoes comment. He also took shots at Legend’s fashion choices and referred to him as a “sissy” during the same interview earlier this year.

Legend, who was once one of West’s closest collaborators, said he wasn’t personally hurt by the insults but is troubled by what West has become.

“It never affects me personally, but just the whole story is sad,” he explained. “Seeing this guy praise Hitler, seeing this guy be like this force of hate and just vitriol and nastiness.”

Reflecting on his legacy, Legend said, “All the things that he’s done to make the world more beautiful and more interesting and then for him to be this now is sad. It’s just sad.”

John Legend Says Kanye West Has Gone “Completely Left”

The two artists were once tightly linked. Legend was one of the first signees to West’s GOOD Music label in 2004 and contributed vocals and songwriting to several of West’s early albums. Their creative chemistry helped shape the sound of early 2000s Hip-Hop and R&B.

However, their relationship deteriorated over West’s political views and descent into controversy.

“He was full of so much energy and creativity and optimism,” Legend recalled. “We really believed we were starting a new movement in music — and we were — and being a part of that was inspiring, it was truly inspiring. That’s why it’s sad now… Even though he’s gone, like, completely left now, I’m so glad that we did what we did together.”

Lizzo Denies Using Ozempic After Previously Admitting To Trying It: “I Worked My Ass Off”

Lizzo unveiled her weight loss regimen and shut down Ozempic rumors on Instagram by posting side-by-side transformation photos and detailing her fitness and nutrition overhaul.

The Grammy Award-winning singer made it clear she hasn’t relied on GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic to slim down. Instead, she credited discipline, sweat and a team of wellness pros for her progress.

“I work my ass off, training 3x a week, daily sauna & cardio, adding animal protein back into my diet, hiring a chef who helps me meal prep and keeps track of what I put into my body in a calorie deficit, cutting out sugary Starbucks & full fat sodas & potato chips…” she wrote.

The 37-year-old also shared that she’s returned to drinking in moderation.

“I quit drinking for the longest… (but I’m drinking again c## I earned it!)… I play pickleball and hike and walk on the beach and move my body and dance and drink water. I detox! Once a month!”

Lizzo also gave a shoutout to celebrity lymphatic massage therapist Flávia Lanini, who she says helped shape her appearance through holistic bodywork.

“The photo on the left is my first time getting lymphatic massage from Flavia, and the right is the most recent!” she wrote. “In light of all these magazines and blogs wanting me to be on Ozempic soooo bad – here’s the truth! I also get holistic body work done, wood therapy, and lymphatic massage.”

She ended her post with a clear message of self-affirmation.

“I’m so happy and proud of what I’ve done and no one can take that away from me.”

Lizzo’s fifth studio album, Love in Real Life, is expected to drop later this year.

Blac Chyna Ends Engagement Seven Months After Public Proposal

Blac Chyna pulled the plug on her engagement to Derrick Milano less than a year after the Grammy-winning songwriter dropped to one knee in front of a crowd at Howard University’s Yard Fest.

The former couple shared identical statements Tuesday (May 14) on Instagram, confirming their split and citing spiritual clarity as the reason behind the decision.

“After much prayer and reflection, Derrick and I have decided to call off the engagement,” the post began. “We love each other deeply and are good friends, but we both believe that God’s guidance has shown us that this is the right path for both of us, as we each continue our journeys. May we find peace and fulfillment in His divine will, trusting that His plan is greater than our own.”

The breakup comes seven months after Milano’s very public proposal on October 18, 2024, where he serenaded Chyna with Mario’s “Let Me Love You” before presenting her with a ring in front of thousands.

The pair began dating in May 2023 and made their relationship Instagram official that September.

The engagement marked Chyna’s third—she was previously engaged to Tyga, with whom she shares a son, King Cairo, and Rob Kardashian, father of her daughter Dream.

The proposal also followed a legal cloud. In September 2024, Chyna’s ex-boyfriend, Twin Hector, filed a lawsuit accusing her of physical and verbal abuse over a three-year relationship, including an alleged violent incident in 2021. He claimed the trauma left him with PTSD and insomnia.

Diddy’s Lawyer Saved Person’s Life As Mogul Awaited Sentencing

Diddy was awaiting a judge’s decision on his $1 million bail request when a man collapsed and began seizing violently on the marble floor of the Manhattan courthouse.

The medical emergency unfolded Wednesday (July 3) on the 26th floor of the federal courthouse just moments after Diddy’s legal team submitted his bail application.

Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo, representing Diddy in the high-profile case, rushed to the man’s side without hesitation.

“I can’t imagine a busier five-minute period in my life,” Agnifilo told The New York Post. “I’m going down to see Combs. Everything was so intense, and my mind was on the case, and I walk out, and a man falls and is clearly seizing. It seemed pretty dire. I was worried about him.”

The man, whose identity has not been released, began convulsing and “repeatedly slamming his head against the marble floor, blood and vomit pouring from his mouth,” according to witnesses.

Agnifilo, who said he had prior experience handling seizures, immediately placed the man in a recovery position.

“I’ve just dealt with lots of seizures. I just know exactly what to do because I’ve dealt with this before,” he said.

His law partner, Jacob Kaplan, supported the man’s head and slid a backpack underneath it to prevent further injury.

Agnifilo’s daughter Sofia, a paralegal on the case and an unidentified member of Diddy’s family, checked the man’s pulse and monitored his breathing until EMS arrived.

The man was eventually carried out on a stretcher. His current condition has not been released by authorities.

The incident occurred as Diddy was in court following his conviction for transporting a person to engage in prostitution.

He was acquitted of more serious trafficking charges. The judge denied Combs’ $1 million bail request. His next hearing is set for July 8, while sentencing is scheduled for October 3.

Eminem’s Detroit WNBA Team Gets Official League Approval

Eminem is officially stepping into the sports ownership arena as part of the newly announced WNBA expansion team in Detroit, which is scheduled to hit the court in 2029.

The WNBA confirmed earlier this week that Detroit, along with Cleveland and Philadelphia, will each receive a new franchise, bringing the league total to 18 teams.

The Motor City’s ownership group is anchored by Tom Gores, owner of the Detroit Pistons, and features a high-profile lineup including Marshall Mathers, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, former NBA stars Grant Hill and Chris Webber, Lions principal owner Sheila Hamp, and General Motors CEO Mary Barra.

The group reportedly shelled out $250 million for the expansion fee, signaling a serious investment in the future of women’s basketball in Detroit. The team will play its home games at Little Caesars Arena, with plans underway for a new training facility and team headquarters along the city’s riverfront.

“This is a huge win for Detroit and the WNBA,” Gores said in a statement. “Today marks the long-hoped-for return of the WNBA to a city with deep basketball roots and a championship tradition. Detroit played a key role in the league’s early growth, and we’re proud to reignite that legacy as the WNBA ascends to new heights.”

Eminem’s involvement in the WNBA team is more than just a business move. Known for his deep ties to Detroit, the Hip-Hop veteran is using his platform to uplift local sports and youth development efforts.

The WNBA’s expansion comes at a time of surging popularity, with record-setting viewership numbers and merchandise sales driving national momentum.

Cam & China Tragedy—Cause Of Twin Rapper’s Death Revealed

China Walker, one-half of the Cam & China rap duo from Inglewood, has died at age 30 following a private two-year fight with a rare and aggressive form of ovarian cancer.

The news was announced on Wednesday, July 2, by her twin sister and groupmate Cam Walker in a heartfelt Instagram post. The pair had kept China’s diagnosis out of the public eye until her death.

“Most don’t know, China has been fighting a rare, aggressive Ovarian Cancer for 2 years,” Cam wrote. “Tonight, she transitioned and is now resting peacefully. Give me time to grieve in peace, but know she loved all our supporters.”

Cam also posted a photo of the two sisters together, along with a message urging people to stay connected with their loved ones.

“Check on yo people, you never know what they are going thru until it’s too late,” she added.

The duo first gained attention in 2016 with their self-titled EP, which showcased their lyrical chemistry. The loss also highlights the devastating impact of ovarian cancer, a disease that often goes undetected until its later stages.

According to the American Cancer Society, ovarian cancer ranks fifth in cancer deaths among women, and early detection remains difficult due to vague symptoms.

Cam has not shared any further details about memorial plans or future music, asking for privacy during this time.

Trippie Redd Thrown In Jail On 4th Of July

Trippie Redd was taken into custody at Miami International Airport on July 4.

The rapper was busted while attempting to board a flight to France due to an outstanding warrant from 2023, according to Miami-Dade County authorities.

He was arrested without incident and transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Officials have not released details about the original charge tied to the warrant.

The arrest happened on Independence Day, just weeks after Trippie and Coi Leray welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Miyoco.

The baby’s name blends “Mi” from Trippie Redd’s first name and “co” from Coi’s, and also translates to “beautiful child” in Japanese.

The couple’s relationship has been on and off since they first linked up years ago.

They rekindled in 2024 but reportedly split again before their daughter’s birth in June 2025.

The arrest adds another chapter to Trippie’s turbulent public life, which now includes legal issues, a new child and a complicated relationship with Coi Leray.

As of Friday morning, Trippie Redd remained in custody at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to NBC Miami.
