(AllHipHop News) Summer 2016 will surely be an unforgettable season for rising rapper Levi Carter.
The Bronx-to-Virginia transplant became the latest act to sign with Jay Z’s Roc Nation management.
Carter is also part of the line-up for the Tidal Stage at the Made In America festival.
Before the Presence Of A Lord mixtape creator performs in Philadelphia next month, Tidal connected with the young artist in The Bronx for the “Levi Carter – DNA” mini-doc. He talks about his upbringing, his turn toward making music, and his battle with depression.
“I always wanted to be a full-time musician,” says Carter. “But it’s like a hood dream. It’s one of those things you tell your mother like, ‘Yo mom, I want to be a rapper.'”
