Born and raised in the gritty streets of Philadelphia, by age 15, Japhia Life found himself sitting in a crack house, focused on living out his street dreams. Even though it was rough at times growing up, Japhia says he seemed to always find his escape in music.

Weaving charisma with true stories has proven to become an explosive combination and garnered comparisons to Nas early in his career. After releasing his first album, Pages of Life, in 2000, and three follow-up albums, Japhia is releasing his fifth album, entitled Westside Pharmacy, this fall.
