(AllHipHop News) Kanye West has had a rough week with the story of him allegedly attacking an 18-year-old man in Beverly Hills, but the “New Slaves” rhymer received some good news recently as well. West’s sixth studio album, Yeezus, is now certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Yeezus has shipped over 1 million copies earning Kanye his 7th platinum album award from the RIAA (including his joint album Watch The Throne with Jay Z). While Ye’s latest solo project has managed to earn certified platinum status for shipments to retail, it still has not sold over a million copies to consumers. The album now sits at around 630,000 units sold.
Congratulations to @kanyewest on his 7th @RIAA #Platinum album award for ‘Yeezus” – he’s 7 for 7! W @DefJamRecords
