Diddy’s Last Album Will Be ‘No Way Out 2’ (VIDEO)

It turns out that Money Makin’ Mitch is not the only album Diddy has up his sleeve. His new artist, Gizzle, let the cat out of the bag during the red carpet for the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards last month. When asked to discuss some details from the Bad Boy CEO’s last album, she didn’t mention MMM.

“It’s called No Way Out 2,” he told Rap-Up. “It’s a crazy project. I’m very honored to be a part of it. Nobody can make an album like Puff Daddy. I’ll actually be rapping on there too.”

Puffy’s newest Pharrell-assisted single “Finna Get Loose,” which he debuted at the 2015 BET Awards, will serve as the first single for No Way Out 2, which does not have a set release date.

Gizzle teased that Diddy will shock us with his next two releases.

“I think MMM is something else, you’ll be surprised. It’s a lot of cool things going on.”

No Way Out 2 will be the follow-up to his 1997 No Way Out album, which sold seven million copies.

Chance The Rapper Discusses President Obama & Systematic Racism

(AllHipHop News) Chance The Rapper is best known as the creator of the critically acclaimed mixtape Acid Rap and a member of the music group Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment, but Chance has also been very active in the political arena.

The 22-year-old Chicago native once worked with then-Senator Barack Obama. Of course, Obama went on to become the first African-American president of the United States, and his role in confronting racism has been a central news item during his time in the Oval Office.

In an interview with the BBC’s DJ Semtex, Chance was asked – in the wake of recent racial tensions in the U.S. – if he felt President Obama has achieved anything during his term.  The “Pusha Man/Paranoia” performer responded:

I think Barack Obama achieved a lot. There’s a lot of monumental establishments that have come from him being in office, but I think the problem of systematic racism and second class citizens – it’s something that’s perpetual through history. Especially with darker people. It doesn’t just stop in America. I don’t think it’s necessarily something you put the first Black man in office to change. I don’t think putting the first Black man in office is a sign of change.

I think there are certain things – like I said – systemically, politically, socially that need to take place on both sides of it, from the people and the people that we put in place that could change stuff. But I think Barack Obama has done some great things.

That’s objective, because I’ve worked with the city. I’ve worked with the neighborhoods, and one of the people I consider allies would be the president. He’s done dope things in the city of Chicago. I’ve worked with the city on a lot of projects. But do I think everybody is doing everything that they can? No, and that includes me.

Over the last several years Chance has implemented different events and initiatives to help combat the violence in his hometown. He hosted the free “Teens In The Park Fest” in June and a Non-Violent Youth Poetry Festival in March.

In 2014, Chance was also instrumental in starting the #SaveChicago campaign with his father. The stop the violence effort is credited with keeping Chicago peaceful during last year’s Memorial Day weekend, a period that is often one of the most deadly timeframes for the city.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting a shooting happened early Monday morning outside of Twelve Studios. The space is also the home of Ross’ Maybach Music Group Atlanta headquarters.

A police report contends there is no evidence to suggest Ross was at the location during the incident or that the Miami native is involved. Twelve Studios issued a statement about the shooting.

“This isolated and random incident is not affiliated with Twelve Studios, any of our staff members or clients; including Rick Ross,” reads the statement. “This is the first time in over three years that we have been affected by any criminal activity regarding our property.”

AllHipHop.com reported in February that Twelve Studios was the site where Ross announced his company’s move to Atlanta. He also launched his Artists First joint venture with Twelve Studios’ founder Dina Marto.

“This is the new home for Maybach Music,” said Marto at the time. “Their artists will be recording here. Executives will have offices here, so they can get work done while they’re in the city of Atlanta.

Chris Tucker & Netflix Being Sued by Comedian for Over $65,000

(AllHipHop News) Tuesday morning (July 7), it has been confirmed that both Chris Tucker and Netflix are being sued by comedian, Terry Hodges, for $66,000, this according to TMZ. Tucker’s anticipated comedy special will be broadcast via Netflix on Friday (July 10).

Marty Singer, Chris Tucker’s attorney has released the following statement, “”This lawsuit is absurd and completely without merit. We fully expect this case to be thrown out by the court.”

In his recently filed lawsuit, Hodges claims that he has has been contributing his time and material to the project since 2008, but has not received any consistent financial compensation since 2011. He then goes on to insist that his writing, producing, editing, acting fees and travel expenses have been utterly ignored, as was Tucker’s purported promise to make him a co-producer. That title would have helped Hodges secure more money on the back-end.

Is there any credibility to this lawsuit?
