Rumor has it that Nicki Minaj wanted a piece of Dej Loaf last night at the BET Awards. According to Nicki, she loves her boo Meek Mill, but it seems like she’s still down with going over to the other side every now and then as she has alluded to doing it for years. Since Dej is joining Nicki on tour there could be more action between the two.

Allegedly, Nicki Minaj and Dej Loaf locked themselves in Nicki’s trailer with Meek Mill minutes before Nicki needed to be on stage. It has been said that awards show staff had to unlock the trailer and caught the two making out. With this rumor, it makes you look deeper into the way Nicki shouted Dej out when accepting her award.

The 2015 BET Awards was a night full of electrifying performances, emotional speeches and unforgettable moments. Kendrick Lamar opened the show and received a standing ovation for his performance of “Alright”. From then on it was a night full of surprises. Janelle Monae kept the “party” going with an energetic performance of her hit “Yoga”. Chris Brown brought sexiness to the table and even more energy with a performance of his new song “Liquor.” Tyga soon joined Brown for a performance of their hit single “Ayo,” and before you know it Brown was performing the hit “Post To Be” with Omarion.

Diddy aka Sean Puffy Combs stole the show with his much anticipated Bad Boy 20th Anniversary reunion performance. The entire Mircrosoft Theater jumped to their feat at the sound of the late Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize.” The audience got a chance to enjoy a nice Bad Boy Records medley that went from Mase “Feel So Good” to 112’s “Peaches & Cream”, Faith Evans “Love Like This”, and Lil’ Kim & The Lox brought the house down with their performance of “It’s All About The Benjamins.” Things got interesting when Diddy brought French Montana out. Even though Diddy wanted to bring the Bad Boy Records celebration to present day, French’s set didn’t seem to fit. In fact it brought the energy down. Diddy quickly brought the energy back up when he brought Pharrell Williams out to perform their new single “Finna to Get Loose.”

The night was far from over as Big Sean performed, there was an Empire showcase featuring Yazz, Jussie Smollett and Seraya, and Meek Mill brought out Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown to perform his new single “All Eyes on You.” The very talented Avery Wilson and Andra Day also were given mini spotlight performances.

Police Called To Plies Video Shoot For Alleged Hostage Situation

Plies video shoot in Florida this weekend was unkindly interrupted by Florida police, TMZ reports.

While shooting a video for his next single at Mike Busey’s, who is Gary Busey’s nephew, St. Cloud home, someone mistook the scene where Plies picks up guns from Haitian gangsters as a real-life situation and called the police. Someone called 911 and said that two black males with assault rifles were holding a white man hostage. Police arrived with loud sirens and all only to discover that the guns were unloaded and that a rap video was being shot.

Police did not make any arrests but gave Plies’ team an earful about not having a permit and not clearing the video shoot with the sheriff’s department.

“If a guy comes down the street and sees that and starts dumping rounds out of his rifle thinking he is saving somebody’s life bad things could happen,” one officer said.

EXCLUSIVE: The Internet Band Name The Best & Worst Things About The Actual Internet

In many ways cyberspace is the new frontier. It allows for unpredictable adventures, it’s wide open, and it’s often lawless. The good, the bad, and the ugly all reside on the internet.

AllHipHop.com recently spoke with the R&B/Soul band named The Internet about some of the things they like, love, and hate about the world wide web. Lead vocalist Syd, producer Matt Martians, and keyboard player Jameel Bruner each offer their thoughts on the positive and negative impact of the internet.

[ALSO READ: The Internet’s Syd & Matt Talk Album Collaborations, Odd Future Break-Up Rumors & Why Your Ego Needs To Die]

Matt: The number one best thing about the internet is it connects people together. It connects a lot of different cultures from around the world that have a lot of the same ways of thinking. I can talk to somebody in Japan within 30 seconds. I can send somebody in Japan a song right now.

That connection of people will ultimately be important to the progression of the Earth, because now we can have world consensus when we have a world hurt or world celebration. Before it was a disconnect from the ignorance of not knowing how everybody really felt. And the truth is out there. You can get into some grimy sh*t on the internet. So that’s number one for both. [laughs]

Jameel: The greatest thing on the internet is… I’m not going to say the first thing on my mind. [laughs] All the shenanigans on the internet. All the stuff we send each other, all the memes.

Matt: Memes are number one. You know why? Because memes let you know you’re not the only one thinking this. [laughs]

Syd: Yeah, the memes! [laughs]

The Internet
The Internet

Matt: The worst thing on the internet is “well, actually.” You know what “well, actually” is? It’s from people who sit around on Twitter and correct other people on minor things. Like if I put “a lot” as one word, they’re like, “Actually, it’s a-lot.” It’s some dude sitting in his mom’s basement. [laughs]

Syd: Another worst thing is it makes everybody feel like their opinion matters, when it really doesn’t. [laughs] It’s somebody with 30 followers, and if they get two favorites they feel validated.

Matt: Another worst thing – it’s kind of a good thing and a bad thing –  is it took away the idea of a celebrity. These people are reachable. If the internet is causing too much of an uproar, these celebrities will reply. Where before if something would happen you wouldn’t really hear about it until the newspapers or tabloids gave public opinion. Now, you have a real-time consensus of what your fans think about you.

Think about it. Drake could be at a game right now, and the camera could be on him. He could be wearing something not even that crazy, but out of nowhere it’s “Drake sucks” because he’s wearing this at a game. That is the wildest sh*t. But it’s great too, because when you have music, it spreads really fast. Everything has a flip-side. Everything that’s great is terrible, and everything that’s terrible is great. The memes are terrible, but they’re amazing. [laughs]
