“Get The Money”

Cash Money Mixtape Lawsuit Dismissed

A NY federal judge has cleared DJ Drama and several others over charges that the defendants failed to compensate Cash Money Records for various tracks that appeared on mixtapes.

While Drama had regularly collaborated with superstar Lil Wayne for their Dedication mixtape series, the financial issue arose when Drama began to sell his mixtapes officially in retail outlets.

Judge Cedarbaum threw out the charges after Cash Money lawyers failed to provide any “valid legal claim against [the] defendants.”

The label’s legal representation was given until September 9 to amend their initial complaint and continue litigation.

Wallace Collins, an entertainment attorney who represented BCD Music Group, explained that there will be no appeals and the matter is finished.

“[The] plaintiff (Cash Money Records) had requested that the case be dismissed ‘without prejudice’… which would have meant that Cash Money could try again,” Collins told AllHipHop.com. “However, the judge agreed with our request that it be dismissed ‘with prejudice;’ which basically drives a stake through the heart of the action and puts the final nail in the coffin of this lawsuit; it’s over and done!”

BCD Music Group was named as a defendant along with several other mixtape deejays.

Even when the case was first announced, DJ Drama remained diplomatic and hopeful that the situation would be resolved amicably.

“The accusations against me are misplaced,” Drama stated. “This is not a case of Lil Wayne vs DJ Drama. Me and Wayne are good. I am confident that this matter will be resolved quickly without harming the relationships between myself, Wayne and Cash Money Records.”

At press time, Cash Money Records has not released a statement regarding the verdict.

Alicia Keys Comments On Lil Mama And Kanye West

Alicia Keys doesn’t really want to address the incident with Lil Mama at the VMA’s but the singer gave an interview and briefly spoke on the matter.

Lil Mama jumped on stage during the show finale with Jay-Z.

The young rapper said that she was consumed with pride as Jay and Keys performed “Empire State of Mind,” a New York City anthem.

“I can appreciate her overwhelmed and inspired, but we would have preferred her doing it from her seat,” Keys said on the Today Show Wednesday morning (September 16).

Keys also offered a very general commentary on Kanye West’s interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech.

“Obviously, he knows that that wasn’t probably in best taste – in retrospect – and I think that he realizes that wasn’t quite the right thing to do. So, I’m sure that he is apologetic and he already has apologized. It was a little strange.”

Alicia Keys has a new single called “Doesn’t Mean Anything” and an album slated for a November release.

Jay-Z Tops Elvis With Blueprint 3

Jay-Z has topped the charts with his latest album The Blueprint 3 and has surpassed Rock & Roll legend Elvis Presley with more #1 albums by a solo artist.

The rapper’s 11th album sold over 470,000 copies this week, putting the album in the top slot on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart.

Jay-Z tied Presley with 10, when his album American Gangster was released in November of 2007.

American Gangster debuted at #1, moving over 425,000 amount of copies during the first week in stores.

The album pushed Jay-Z’s the rapper in front of iconic Rock & Roll acts like The Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen.

The Beatles have 19 #1 albums and are the only group in music history to have more #1 albums than Jay-Z.

The rapper is aware of the monumental accomplishment and makes a reference to the historic accomplishment on The Blueprint 3.

On the track “Reminder,” Jay-Z drops lines referencing his #1 album streak, in addition to name checking Elvis Presley and The Rolling Stones.

Ten number 1 albums in a row who better than me/Only the Beatles nobody ahead of me/I crush Elvis in his blue suede shoes/Made the rolling stones seem sweet as Kool-Aid too

Jay-Z is currently working on a new “experimental” album which has no release date.

Kanye West: The Jokes Won’t Stop

KANYE LOSING MAJOR PAPER?

I know Kanye has and had several major endorsements in his day, but now I am hearing that the rapper may see some tougher days ahead after Sunday’s fiasco. We all know the story, but I am hearing that several corporate sponsors may be withdrawing their financial support of the rapper, because of his move at the VMAs. Now, I know we’ve all been pretty critical of ‘Ye, but IS IT ALL THAT? I mean, I have to ask. Did Kanye attack somebody? Did he spit on Taylor Swifty like, “Eff you, you devil!!! Beyonce should have won!!!” NO. He didn’t and therefore I cannot support boycotts on this level. When I heard little things here and there, I thought “Oh, the usual boycott talk,” but this is a bit different.

There are rumors that Kanye is on suicide watch. I hope not. That seems rather extreme, right?

NO FIGHT FOR JAY AND B!

I got the word for yallllllll! You know, Hip-Hop needs to see a functional family like the Carters. But, I have some bad news for the haters. Beyonce and Jay didn’t have an epic fight that resulted in Jay going out with Rihanna. Beyonce went to work! I heard from a super reliable source that B jumped onto a private plane and jetted over to Australia for a show. On top of this, my Aussie friend Tommy G from Melbourne, Australia again hit me up and confirmed this! He told me he was in the mix for the “I Am” Australian tour at Rod Laver Arena last night. Beyonce just made it there on time too…she was on a plane within an hour of leaving the VMA’s!

Uh OH! 50 Cent is going in on his adversary. Check it out and let me know what you think of this one!

RUSSELL SPAZZES – OVER A SEAT?

Accoring to the internets, Russell Simmons went spazzola at Charlotte Ronson’s show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Friday. Check out what RadarOnline.com reported.

“He flipped out over his seating,” an eyewitness tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. “He thought his seat was given away and lost it on some poor staffer on the runway moments away from the show’s start.

“When I walked in here, there was like 40 seats,” Simmons was heard griping. “Now, there’s nothing. Where am I supposed to sit?”

When the girl didn’t reply promptly enough the hip-hop king, who preaches the benefit of the calming effect of his yoga prowess, angrily demanded, “Where’s your boss? Where’s the lady in charge? Who do I have to talk to? Come on now.”

After talking to the head seater of the show, Simmons was still not pacified, and let her have it. In the midst of the tirade the staffer asked him to “please calm down” which prompted Simmons to fume “I am calm! I’m a calm person!”

Fortunately, seconds before the show started, the seater cleared two seats for Simmons, who sat down with such force he caused his neighbors to jump.

Thanks RadarOnline!

PROFESSOR GRIFF GOES IN

Hey, somebody sent me a very nasty and ignorant message about something I posted yesterday. I post up so much stuff, its crazy. But what’s crazier is somebody thinking they can tell me what I can or can’t post. There are only a few people that can do that and that person’s not one of them. With that said, here is some more of the stuff that idiot hated. Professor Griff of Public Enemy fame has something to say.

ILLSEED’S QUICKIES

Wanted to shout out hexmurda, a columnist for AHH and staple in the Detroit rap scene, has been hospitalized for reasons unknown. Don’t worry about why….just pray for the homey.

Also pray for Ella Ann of The Bangz. The female rapper was shot and is now in critical condition.

I find it interesting that MTV gave Lil Mama a stage to explain herself after crashing the VMA’s finale. Hmmmmmmm…

How foul is this. OJ Simpson’s ex-girlfriend said that he probably committed the murder.

EPIC WIN OF THE DAY

This girl goes hard and more ways that one.

EPIC FAIL OF THE DAY

Obama must not realize the power of the internet. He called Kanye a “jackass” and some overly ambitious reporter tweets something off the record to over a million followers. SMH. I don’t know that I’m feeling Obama calling ‘Ye a jackass though. He should have called the putz congress man that called him a “liar” a jackass. Do you agree?

CHANCE’S CHAT

Here is the section for Chance. As you know, he speaks and reps himself – not illseed or AllHipHop. With that said – LET’S GO!

IT’S A SMALL WORLD…Swizz

Beatz was enjoying the festivities at the Kush Lounge (my kind of

place) with ex-side-chick turned wifey Alicia Keys when guess who shows

up?  Swizz’s ex-wife Mashonda.  Seeing as

Alicia has been credited with breaking up the marriage AND it was a

surprise birthday party for Swizz that Alicia was THROWING I would have

been a little nervous when she walked in the door *checks for exits*.

However, the two never crossed paths and Mashonda was out of there

within a half hour.  Mashonda might wanna fall back; I don’t think

Miss. Keys is playing around.

NFL PLAYERS GIVING BRAINS (PAUSE)

Jocks (pause) don’t have a

reputation for being the smartest people in the world (no shots) but

apparently there’s a high demand for their brains.  A lot of retired

players have already agreed to donate their brains to science when they

die in order to help researchers understand sports brain injuries.

Matt Birk (Ravens), Lofa Tatupu (Seahawks) and Sean Morey (Cardinals)

have become the first active players to donate theirs.  Ellis Lanksder (Bills) may want to have his looked at IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!

A NIGHT WITH NASIR JONESNas

and Kelis are back together?  Guess Nas smartened up and realized it’s

cheaper to keep her.  Hopefully it works out.  Here’s an example of why

it didn’t and probably wont.  Here’s a young lady/groupies account of

meeting Nas earlier this year right before the divorce.

I

was at a gas station in Soho.. He was

with two of his homeboys, some 6’3″ King Kong black dudes who were

driving him around. Nas was pumping gas and I was coming out from

buying some snacks and I see this dude lookin’ at me…dude has a ‘big

boss aura…I was trying to place his face, as I

was walking closer I saw the mole and placed the face as being Mr.Nasir

Jones…Right then and there I turned groupie…  After a good 5 minute

conversation of him asking the

basics, where was I off to.. Who was I rollin with.. Ect. We exchanged

numbers, he said he had some business to handle in the city but he’d

hit me up that night, around 8…Later that

night Nas hit me up, told me to meet him at The St. Regis Hotel.  I met

him there, by myself, and

he was sittin’ in the lobby with his homeboys eatin’. me to

hold up he was discussing some business.  Finally after 40 minutes he

got up…showing me to the elevator to the room. I knew what it was!He

took off my heels for me. He was smiling like he knew this was bout to be

some trouble, worked his way up and started playin with my fat kitty

through my underwear…I

got wet really fast and he took notice by saying my “s### was drippin.”

He didn’t go down on me, I can understand since it was a groupie type

of deal, but when he gave the notion for me to go down, I didn’t

hesitate. I played with the tip of his dick, teasing him, and he was

lickin his lips. He didn’t moan when I sucked his dick.. But when I got

on top and rode him he was whispering “Oooh s###…” real low.  Nas is VERY hung. His dick is smooth,

and he smells like a million bucks, almost like baby powder. No fish

funk downstairs. He was about to c## when I was on top so he made me

spread my legs on the bed… He teased me before he put it in which was

killing me considering I wanted to come WHILE I was riding. He

continued playing with my inner thighs and sticking his fingers inside

of me. He stuck it inside and pulled my hair back. I was moaning really

loud, and finally I heard big moans. “F###…” Nas is a rough but quiet

lover. He doesn’t turn his phone off, so it was ringing off the hook

the whole time. And I do mean the whole time [The wife maybe???]. Nas made me come 3 times,

and I don’t even come sometimes during sex. He never called me again

after the fact”I’M JUST SAYING

Saw Taylor Swift on The View and saw Pink on The

Today Show … I don’t agree with what Kanye did but we need to have

his back so it doesn’t turn into a pass for white America to vilify

another black man … Let’s nip this in the bud before it goes too far.

President Obama and ex-President Clinton had lunch in the Village

the other day … Shame on all these negros acting up with our beloved

leader in the same city.Shout-out to everyone who e-mailed me their music.  I’m not handing

out deals if that’s what you were looking for but I do like to keep up

on what the streets and internets have to offer.I

posted these pics via twitter (ChanceCDR) and it sparked a bit of a

debate.  I think Shia Douglas (Ashanti’s sister) is sexy.  Not in the

XXL Eye Candy kind of way; but if I saw her in the streets I’d

definietly get at her.  ALL the guys seemed to agree and ALL the girls

disagreed (pointing to the cellulite).  Am I wrong???

AllHipHop ChartWatch: Jay-Z and Raekwon’s Numbers Are In

What is going on this week? By now the whole world has seen and commented on Kanye’s impromptu speech at the MTV video music awards followed by his many apologies. We’ve also seen Lil’ Mama apologize for her apparent lapse in judgment for dimming a bright performance by Jay-Z. (Speaking of judging and Lil Mama….how did she get a job judging anything? Shouldn’t you get a hit album or be successful at something before people start to respect your opinion as a veteran in this industry?). Serena flipped out John McEnroe style on an official. People are saying that Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player ever, was rude at his hall of fame acceptance. All of this news in black entertainment can only lead to one thing…trouble for Obama. Can ya’ll give the man a week off. Please quit asking this dude questions about unimportant stuff. C’mon. Let’s get to the charts…it was a good week for Hip Hop.We’re going to try a little something different this week and work or way from ten to one. At the number ten spot is Michael Jackson with his compilation album Number Ones.

This week The Beatles rereleased all of their albums and managed to claim a good portion of the countdown. The fab four managed to claim four spots with Rubber Soul at number nine, The White Album at number seven, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonley Hearts Club at number six, and Abbey Road at number three.

Country music duo Brooks & Dunn claim the number eight spot with their greatest hits collection #1s & Then Some.

Then we finally get to some Hip Hop. Raekwon sells 65,000 copies of his latest album, Only Built for Cuban Linx II, and claims the number five spot.

In the number four spot is Whitney Houston whose new album, I Look To You, falls a bit but still continues to sell.

At the number two spot is future tabloid headliner Miley Cyrus with her latest album, Time of our Lives.

And finally…at the number one spot…selling 465,000 copies of his latest studio album, The Blueprint 3…Jay Z! The self-proclaimed King of New York takes the top spot outselling the number two album by well over 300,000 copies. It’s good to see both Jay-Z and Raekwon do numbers and claim their place on the countdown. Hopefully fans will be able to keep the two artists on the list for next week.

Beyond the top ten The Black Eyed Peas claim the number 12 spot by selling 44,000 copies of their latest studio album, The E.N.D. Also, Fabolous and Eminem are, once again, neck and neck with the Brooklyn MC selling 14,000 copies of Loso’s Way to claim the number 46 spot, and the 8 Mile native claiming the 47th spot with his album Relapse.

Dropping This Week

First up in “Dropping” is a greatest hits/Best of album by Big Pun titled The Legacy: The Best of Big Pun. Pun passed away a little over a decade ago but still has a lasting impact on Hip Hop. If you haven’t had the opportunity to listen to him, or you are just feeling nostalgic, pick up this latest compilation.

Kanye West protégé and perpetual stoner Kid Cudi releases his debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day. He was making a lot of noise with Kanye and his G.O.O.D Music label and then appeared to disappear. Then he came back with the new song sampling Lady Gaga and is now dropping the album. The new disc is not very feature heavy but does have Kanye, Common, and Chip tha Ripper.

KRS One and Buckshot team up to release the album Survival Skills. It’s KRS One and Buckshot so you know it will be right lyrically. Thos tat are always complaining about there not being enough “real” Hip Hop out there should not let this one slip through your fingers. The album features Mary J. Blige, Talib Kweli, Smif ‘n Wessun, Immortal Technique, Slug of Atmosphere, Bounty Killer, K’Naan and a few more. Pick it up.

From Louisiana comes down south rapper Lil Boosie. Boosie drops his latest album, Superbad: The Return of Boosie Bad Azz, with features from Young Jeezy, Trina, Lil Phat, and Mouse to name a few. It’s Lil Boosie. Fans know what to expect from him as an artist and should be ready to go out and pick this one up.

Next up is the Mash Out Posse. M.O.P drops their latest album, Foundation, with features from Styles P and Redman and production from DJ Premier and Green Lantern. After being signed with Roc-A-Fella and G-Unit it’s good to see the group back putting out albums. If you haven’t had a chance to listen to a full album from the group then now is your opportunity to see what you’ve been missing.

They may get hated on but the next group is making music for the next generation of Hip Hop. That could be a good thing or a bad thing. West coast duo, The New Boyz, drop their debut album Skinny Jeanz & A Mic. The album features Ray-J and Tyga and hopes to capitalize off of the success of the hit single “You’re A Jerk.” Hate them or love them…they’re dropping an album.

The next album was supposed to drop in 2001. Since then I know at least 4 people that say they own it which is funny because it is now finally being “officially” released in 2009. Q-Tip release his eight year delayed album, Kamaal the Abstract. Now this s nt like the first two albums Q-Tip released so don’t pick this up expecting to her “Vivrant Thing part II.” If you like Q-Tip pick it up.

Last, but not least, is a rapper we haven’t heard from in a while. Trick Daddy releases Finally Famous: Born A Thug, Still A Thug, an album he has spent the last two years recording. It’s Trick Daddy. He loves the kids so return the favor and pick up and album. Plus it has one of those…ummmm….interesting…yeah interesting album covers that I like so much.

That’s essentially the charts for Hip Hop this week. We have a couple of artist on the countdown and a few promising artists dropping new material. If you’re a fan of Hip Hop go hit a store and pick up an album or two.

Kid Cudi: The End of the Beginning

“People need to stop being so judgmental and let me make what I want to make.” – Kid Cudi

He has been called everything from an emo rapper to Kanye’s little helper.

Scott Mescudi, born January 30, 1984 in Cleveland, Ohio, has endured the burden of titles and critiques since reserving the name of Kid Cudi and pushing his unique sound. That said, he has arguably been one of the most powerful voices within Hip-Hop culture over the past year. From uniting lonely stoners on the chart topping independent single “Day N’ Nite” to bringing new light to a genre that has put “hardness” as its credentials, Kid Cudi has made immense changes to our music in a short amount of time.

With a ground breaking outpour of excitement and anticipation for his debut LP, Man on the Moon: End of Day, the presumable question is: why Kid Cudi? Why is his voice able to cause the commotion of an experienced veteran emcee? The answer to that can only be found through the music where Cudi challenges you to take on the soundtrack to his life. This is the man on the moon.

AllHipHop.com: Over the past week Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II and The Blueprint 3 have dropped, both of which are staples in the veteran rap release boat and have satisfied the cries for a return to classic Hip-Hop. You however are pushing the boundaries, how does that feel to be the one set on a new course especially being your debut?

Kid Cudi: Well, I mean it’s really dope to still have classic Hip-Hop. I wouldn’t want everybody to try to be on some s**t like I’m on. I like straight up hardcore Hip-Hop still, so where would I go for my fix if I just wanted straight up Hip-Hop if everybody is on the trend of what they call singing and rapping. That’s what Jay was kind of addressing with the “D.O.A.” record. I don’t think it was a specific shot at anybody, it was just like man, we all can’t do this, why is everybody trying to follow the trend?

“The day that people stop being critics and just see things for the way they are the world will be a lot happier. The blogs will be a lot less haterfied and things will be more positive in music.”

-Kid Cudi

AllHipHop.com: The trend is being more than followed and probably mostly in the cyber world. Are you aware of the amount of “Cudi copies” on the internet?

Kid Cudi: Nah, I mean I was always aware that some people might be inspired by what I’m doing and feeling compelled to do their own thing in the same realm as something that I’ve created. But it’s all good because life is about inspiring people. I’m happy I was able to affectively come out with something that’s refreshing and people could see that I’m standing on my own two and in my own space which is good because I really like to see the support that I’ve been getting.

AllHipHop.com: You’ve been getting more than support. From MTV to BET nominations you’ve been receiving the accolades before you’ve even dropped a full body, is it scary how fast things have come to you?

Kid Cudi: Yeah, definitely. Like when I take a step back and look at the situation recently it’s really mind blowing and I’m blessed because I’m in a good position right now. It’s just really exciting to say the least.

AllHipHop.com: Can you take another step back a little farther and find the moment in your career that you knew your unique message was finally being received. When did things set in?

Kid Cudi: Well the mixtape was the first thing that let me know that people wanted to listen. The mixtape was by far the first thing that I realized people were interested in me. It was that because I knew it was my first piece of work that I put out so if people didn’t like that then they wouldn’t f**k with me again. That’s how I looked at it because first impressions are a motherf**ker man. Luckily people embraced it and now I’m a little bit more at ease with dropping the debut, but I’m still very on edge.

Kid Cudi – “Make Her Say” f/ Kanye West & Common

video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsfree video player

AllHipHop.com: I’m guessing most of this edge you’re on in part attributes to judgment and acceptance which is something you have gone back and forth on over the past year. Are you tired of the judgment?

Kid Cudi: People need to stop being so judgmental and let me make what I want to make. People say, “he’s making too much of this, too much of that, he’s too pop, this is not this, this is not that.” Exactly. It’s not supposed to be like that or like something you’ve heard, it’s meant to confuse and it’s meant to be out there in its own world and its own space next to nothing. I hate that people are so critical, it’s like stop being a f**king critic. The day that people stop being critics and just see things for the way they are the world will be a lot happier.

The blogs will be a lot less haterfied and things will be more positive in music. You’ve got mother f**kers that are just only into Hip-Hop and will talk s**t about anybody that doesn’t do Hip-Hop. It’s weird because you can just tell when people are one track minded. With me, my fans are versatile and they’re gonna go pick up Raekwon’s album and probably Jay’s album, and then they’re gonna pick up mine and then if the Killers drop an album they might pick that up too. My fans have an eclectic ear, we like all things and the generation we came up in we have a wide variety of taste.

AllHipHop.com: Right.

Kid Cudi: There’s all different types of music now in this day and age coming up. I’ve seen a lot of things, I’m 25, it’s not like the 70’s when genres were separate and things weren’t being fused together. I really think that the day we stop being so judgmental and just let artists be themselves we’ll be cool. If you don’t like it don’t f**king buy it, we’re not gonna be mad just don’t buy it, but let us do what we want do and feel how we want to feel emotionally and put these songs out because there’s nothing wrong with that. People are making a scene like there’s something wrong with that and that’s stupid.

AllHipHop.com: I wanted to get into the concept, which was easily the most fascinating aspect about the track list and the LP when the first press release was put out. How did that idea come to fruition?

Kid Cudi: Well I really tried to keep all my ideas together. Once we did a nice amount of songs it was like shooting a movie. You shoot a bunch of scenes and then you just start editing them together and some scenes get cut. It was really important to me to keep the flow of the album a certain way so I could keep it very intense and moody and some times and then bring it back to the energy. The song is supposed to pull you into a different scene in space in that movie.

It really took a lot of brain storming and just sitting there and consulting Plain Pat and Emile asking what they thought to help piece it together properly. Pat and Emile trusted me and that’s the kind of people you need to have, they need to be about your vision and be down with it. You really have to have ride or die people on your team and Plain Pat and Emile were there. Even Doctor Genius, he was one of the first people that I started to first develop my sound with. So keeping cats like Doc, Pat and Emile helped me work even better because it allowed me to do my thing.

AllHipHop.com: Let’s talk about the sub title, which you switched from The Guardians to End of Day. Being that subtitles usually imply follow-ups, what can you say for future releases especially with trilogies like the Blueprint series.

Kid Cudi: Well I think that it’s important to have a plan and to not just go in the studio and be like, “oh I’m gonna make these 10 albums!” Sometimes you have to sit back and strategically think out the process. Those are always the good albums; the well thought out joints. I’m sure like even with Detox everybody is waiting for it and I think it will drop and be a really phenomenal album because Dre had a lot of time to perfect it. I think its dope to have a trilogy and to look forward to a story.

“There’s all different types of music now in this day and age coming up. I’ve seen a lot of things, I’m 25, it’s not like the 70’s when genres were separate and things weren’t being fused together.”

-Kid Cudi

AllHipHop.com: Are you hinting at something?

Kid Cudi: Well, once End of Day drops it’s the beginning of the tale of the man on the moon and I think people are gonna be lost in it and intrigued by the second and third installment of Man on the Moon. That’s what I’m trying to do, I want people to really get into the story and be with it.

AllHipHop.com: The third single for End of Day is “Pursuit of Happiness” with the electro duo Ratatat and neo-psychedelic group MGMT, are you prepared to start having larger fan bases outside of the Hip-Hop universe?

Kid Cudi: Yeah man that’s what I’m trying to do. I’m trying to do all genres. I really wanted to work with MGMT and Ratatat because I was a really big fan from the jump. MGMT inspired me lyrically and Ratatat helped inspire me on the melody side of thing along with the production side. So, getting them both on my record was important because I knew I connected with their creative and I knew if I got them in the studio with them we’d all make just really dope s**t.

I respect Ratatat’s music and production so much that I could never get up the nerve to rap on any of their other s**t because I just appreciate them so much. If I did anything with them it had to be from the ground up and that’s what we did with that record and I was really happy and then we were able to get MGMT on there. It was really fresh because I’m just trying to create and have all different people be into it. I’m not trying to do this and just have one type of demographic be into it. I’m just making music and I hope everybody likes it.

Lil Mama’s Turn: The Photoshop Sessions

I know Lil Mama said she was sorry, like Kanye West, and that is all well and good. I mean, she is a young person. We all make mistakes. Also, she has done some good things in her life with kids in the community.

Nevertheless, in this internet era, all things are fair game and she can get it like Kanye did (pauzito!). Its all love and fun…

So, lets let the fun begin!

Kanye West: The Jokes Won’t Stop

OK, everybody should accept one of Kanye West’s three apologies. It has been a rigorous two days.

He got on Jay Leno’s new show and tearfully apologized in front of the universe that watched intently. Despite the emotional out pouring, the parodies and jokes will not cease to rain by way of the internet. This has yet to include other entities such as Saturday Night Live.

We know that most of us are sick and tired of talking about Kanye, but there has to be one last acknowledgement of the funnies being generated. Hopefully, ‘Ye is somewhere relaxing and not being too down on himself. Send your funny pix to illseed at [email protected].In the meantime, check these out.

EH! There were some funny and some that weren’t. At the end of the day, it is what it is. Kanye got the people talking once again!

Bench Warrant Issued For Rapper Beanie Sigel

A bench warrant was issued for rapper Beanie Sigel, after he failed to appear at a court date related to a marijuana possession charge yesterday (September 14) in New Jersey.

State police stopped Beanie Sigel and three companions in August, as the rapper was heading to perform at Kelly’s Bar on Rexall Avenue around 12:45 am.

Sigel, born Dwight Grant, was arrested when police found him in possession of under 50 grams of marijuana.

The driver and another passenger, Karl Dargan, 24 and Justin Gaines, 25, were also charged with drug possession.

Judge Gregory McCloskey issued a bench warrant for Sigel after he missed a mandatory court appearance, according to The Burlington County Times.

Beanie Sigel’s latest album Broad Street Bully hit stores on September 1.

Taylor Swift Reacts To Kanye; Says Rapper Has Not Apologized

Today, Country singer Taylor Swift responded to the now infamous incident at the MTV Video Music Awards involving rapper Kanye West on Sunday (September 13).

West stormed the stage as Swift was receiving her first ever VMA for Best Female Video, upset because the country singer had topped Beyonce‘s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It).”

Taylor Swift appeared on The View earlier today and addressed the incident for the first time since the incident occurred.

“I think my overall thought process was something like: ‘Wow, I can’t believe I won. This is awesome… Don’t trip and fall. I’m gonna get to thank the fans, this is so cool. Oh, Kanye West is here..cool haircut…what are you doing there? And then, Ouch. And then, I guess I’m not gonna be able to thank the fans.”

Although Kanye West has since issued three different apologies, including one during a high profile appearance on Jay Leno’s new show last night (September 14), the rapper/producer has yet to call Swift to apologize personally.

“He has not personally reached out or anything. I’m not going to say I wasn’t riled by it,” Swift told The View. “I’m not gonna say that I wasn’t riled by it. I had to perform live five minutes later, so I had to get myself back to the place where I could perform.”

After Kanye West stormed the stage, a number of celebrities weighed in on the rapper’s behavior during the awards.

Celebrities like Katy Perry, Pink, Joel Madden, Beyonce and even rappers like 50 Cent and Pitbull blasted Kanye West for his antics.

Swift stated that she was appreciated the support she received in the hours following the debacle during the VMA’s.

“I just never imagined that there were that many people out there looking out for me, so it was really wonderful to see that people were out there defending me so I didn’t have to,” Swift said.

Raheem DeVaughn: The R&B Hippie Grinds On

“ Music has always been my passion” states the self proclaimed R&B Hippie, Raheem DeVaughn. Having seven mix-tapes under his belt and a third album The Love & War MasterPeace slated for a November release, expect to experience music that gives you the feeling of the good’ol days. With a sprinkle of a 70’s vibe, and the channeling of Marvin Gaye on the first single “Bullet Proof “ featuring Ludacris , Raheem DeVaughn bridges the gap for the political and social issues that we encounter in society as a whole.

From our discussion on topics ranging from Twitter, Hip Hop, and sneaking to listen to Prince albums back in the day, Raheem DeVaughn proves that his grind is parallel to his music; authentic.

AllHipHop.com: So you signed with Jive in 2002…how do you feel the industry has changed since then?

Raheem DeVaughn: I’m kinda like the last of the Mohicans. Getting signed the way I did and the deal structure that I had when I got signed, the 360 deals weren’t in place. They weren’t thinking about all the different ways technology and social network sites help. I think music is constantly changing, I’m just enjoying being apart of the change.

AllHipHop.com: Who were some of your musical influences growing up?

Raheem DeVaughn: Definitely Marvin Gaye, Bob Marley, Curtis Mayfield, Earth Wind and Fire to name a few, just a lot of different artist growing up. I’m a big Prince fan, I wasn’t supposed to be listening to that though, I still managed to find my way into it.

AllHipHop.com: “Mo Betta” is my favorite songs by you, you reference love a lot in your songs…Why?

Raheem DeVaughn: I’m a modern age Hippie you know, that’s pretty much my theme. It’s not just about the sappy, lovey dovey love, but love for yourself, love for your hood. So that’s where I’m at with it.

AllHipHop.com : How do you feel about One-Hit Wonders?

Raheem DeVaughn: Everybody in this world has their place. I’m not a One-Hit Wonder, I never plan to be. It’s easy to not appreciate something that is just handed to you versus having to work for it, you will cherish it and appreciate it a lot more.

AllHipHop.com: Which artist are you listening to nowadays?

Raheem DeVaughn: Not to be vain, but myself. I’m just listening to and mixing my album. I’m in Atlanta listening to a lot of mix tapes. I just relocated to Atlanta for a little period of time, just to get knee deep and do a lot of cameo appearances and co-writing with different producers.

AllHipHop.com: How do you feel when you are compared to other artists as well as the Greats?

Raheem DeVaughn: Its all how you look at the glass, it’s either half full or half empty. But the Greats like Marvin Gaye and The Prince’s…I think you can never be compared to them because they have already done it. I can never do what they’ve done. So I’m just trying to keep the torch burning for my generation , and leave something behind…some music of substance.

AllHipHop.com: Have you ever heard a song and said to yourself “ I wish I wrote that”?

Raheem DeVaughn: Prince 1999, it was ingenious. It was written way before its time, and when 1999 came it was like I talked about this already!

AllHipHop.com: You have collaborated with Beanie Sigel, Ludacris, and most recently Ghostface on the “Baby” track. How do these come about? Do you seek them? Or vice versa?

Raheem DeVaughn: It usually just happens. You will run into cats that will be like “Yo lets work together” some cats follow through, some don’t. It’s an honor to transcend all different genres of music.

AllHipHop.com: I listened to the single “Bullet Proof”, I felt it had an Old School vibe yet was socially conscious at the same time. Tell me about the idea behind that track, and The Love & War : The MasterPeace album.

Raheem DeVaughn: It’s a need for it. Somebody’s gotta have the balls to talk about something other than what you hear, it gets monotonous. I’m gonna give you the balance, it’s about being creative and artistic. On the album I got Damien Marley, Wale, Luda, and Bun B. It’s a double disk CD. No official release date but the month is November. Huge tour coming in 2010 being slotted out, no less than 40 cities.

AllHipHop.com: This has been a Historic year for African Americas with the election of our new President. How has that affected you as an individual? As an artist??

Raheem DeVaughn: It’s great. It just got my thinking cap on. To just coincide with message where Obama is concerned, that’s where I’m at politically and musically. A lot of the songs on The Love & War: The MasterPeace , were previously recorded before he was in office.

AllHipHop.com: How do you feel about the current state of music? Do you feel it’s getting worse or better?

Raheem DeVaughn: Its getting worse, but its filtering itself out, and when I say that I mean all the bulls*** is getting weeded out. What you gonna see in the next couple of years is a transition of the last of the Mohicans , separating the men from the boys. Take Raekwon’s album for example, it’s the #1 joint on I-Tunes selling right now. Everybody is buzzing that it’s a REAL Hip Hop album. So you will see a transition in a few years.

AllHipHop.com: Do you feel that the internet has been an asset to you as an artist? With MySpace, YouTube, and most recently Twitter…how has that helped your brand?

Raheem DeVaughn: I just got on that whole thing (not to sound ignorant) but just understanding the power of the internet, I wasn’t that type of person. I’m more hands on, in the streets. Come see me in the lobby after the show, let’s meet and greet,. You buy some mix tapes, I’ll sign them. But now I’m on the whole internet kick, its like killing two birds with one stone. So I try to use it to the best of my ability. I’m on the U-Steam now…I get my Twitter on.

AllHipHop.com: Usually artist branch out into other ventures such as acting, clothing, and product endorsement, do you see yourself doing this?

Raheem DeVaughn: Yeah, I started 368 Music Group, it’s an Indie/Hip Hop label. Phil Ade is the first off the roster. He’s got a good buzz going…I see him blowing up in the next year or two. I’m going to be one of the official spokespersons for The Center of Disease Control. The focus is on HIV and Aids, both nationally and globally. The two other faces of the campaign are Magic Johnson and Jamie Fox, so I’m looking forward to that. I’m working on Non-Profits, Live to Give Foundation. Its just giving back time, not just musically but physically.

AllHipHop.com: So what’s next?

Raheem DeVaughn: The top of the world! (Laughing) it can’t get worse, it can only get better. Third album ( double disk) , reinventing myself. Working with my artist Phil Ade and him blowing up, films, just grinding and seeing it all evolve.

Tricky Stewart Inks Def Jam Label Deal

Renowned artist and producer Christopher “Tricky” Stewart will step into the CEO chair courtesy of a new Def Jam deal to jumpstart his very own record label.

Tricky will oversee RedZone Records, which he originally founded in 1995 with brother Mark and mentor LA Reid.

Now with strong major label backing, the songwriter hopes to broaden the artist cultivation he’s done for years in the studio.

“I’ve always wanted the opportunity to expand my involvement with many of the talented artists I’ve worked with through the years,” Stewart explained to AllHipHop.com. “Previously, I’d work with new artists in the studio, and then once the record was completed, help shop them to a major label through my production company. This new venture enables the record to be released on RedZone and my team to develop it every step of the way. It’s the ultimate arrangement, providing the opportunity to empower the artists and putting their music into homes across the globe.”

The Def Jam deal is the culmination of Stewart’s recent string of chart-topping, Grammy nominated hits.

The versatile producer has lent his talents to artists such as Rihanna (“Umbrella”), Mariah Carey (“Touch My Body”), Mary J. Blige (“Just Fine”), Beyonce (“Single Ladies), The Dream (Love/Hate), and Jamie Foxx (Intuition).

This year, Tricky took home a Grammy for his work on Mary J. Blige’s Growing Pains LP, and honors as one of the 2009 Songwriters of the Year from the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.

At press time, Stewart is finalizing plans for the debut of RedZone artist Bryan J’s lead single, “Like I’m Obama.”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Was It A Stunt? Slim Thug & His Lotions! The Twitter Follies!

DISCLAIMER:

All content within this section is pure rumor and generally have no factual info outside of what the streets have whispered in our ear. Read on.

THE DAILY TWO SENSE

I am happy to see Kanye West get up on the Jay Leno show and let himself open up. BUT…

WAS IT ALL JUST A BIG PRESS STUNT?

Now, we see Kanye West looking all-sympathetic after being a monster. Jay Leno gets him to almost cry at the mere mention of his mother and a huge ratings boost. AND, Taylor Swift is redeemed. Sales go up. Beyonce looks like a saint, mo’ money! Now, here is what somebody emailed me. I didn’t edit this at all.

My now ex-boyfriend is a producer over at MTV and he told me that they were going to create another spoof for this next award show. Movie awards was Eminem and Bruno, this time…Kanye and Taylor Swift.

Let’s dissect the VMA:

1. Kanye did this at the beginning of the show during the first award nomination. MTV planned this to keep us glued to their network.

2. Right after the incident Rhapsody aired a commercial stating,”we listen to jay z, we listen to Pink but right now is Taylor’s moment.”

3. There are 3 winners at the VMA…Beyonce, T.Swift and Kanye.

Kanye is gaining so much publicity(bad publicity is good publicity) from this stunt. His fans doesn’t care if he dissed a country singer, they will still buy his next album.

4. Beyonce saves the day and dedicates her award to the young singer. You think B really cares about a VMA at this point in her career…NO.

5.Taylors album sales will get a significant boost because people feel sorry for her.

6.If MTV really was embarrassed by the stunt, they would not have re-aired it on the rerun episode of the awards or posted it on their website.

I feel that this information is necessary because we can’t allow the media to blind us and think we are stupid. And the sad thing is they are using our talented Hip Hop artists to do the dirty work. Corporations such as Viacom(own MTV, BET,VH1,Comedy Central-Dave Chapelle show) are exploiting our people and our music. Its sad that Kanye cosigned to do this spoof and he should apologize to Hip Hop not just Taylor. All MTV cares about is “Advertisment Dollars.”

PRESS STUNT OR NO, TAYLOR SWIFT’S MOM CUSSED HIM OUT!

LOL! They are saying that Taylor Swift’s mother requested a meeting with Kanye West so she could cuss him out. LOL! Kanye sort of confirmed this, but didn’t say she tore him up verbally. People magazine reported that Kanye somehow made things worse until he appeared on Leno tonight and then also issued a more formal apology today.

“I feel like Ben Stiller in Meet the Parents when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave. That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”

That’s that, I guess. They also say that Matthew Knowles is actually the person that commandeered that Beyonce give up her momemnt later in the show so Swifty could get her moment in.DID JAY AND BEYONCE HAVE A GREAT FIGHT OVER KANYE?Not sure how real or true this is,  but I am going to say it anyway. MediaTakeOut has reported that Kanye’s bumrush of Taylor Swift resulted in a huge fight between Jay and Beyonce. Now, an unnamed insider said that MTV wanted Kanye to come back  up there and say sorry in front of everybody in the room. Kanye refused to do that and opted to leave instead. Jay didn’t like the way MTV did his homey ‘Ye and then when Beyonce later got on the stage and rocked with Swifty, Jay saw it as siding with the other side. Jay ended up hanging out with Rihanna after dismissing B for the rest of the evening. I don’t know if this is true, but I do know that RiRi and Jay were photographed hanging out. RiRi didn’t go to the awards so perhaps this is true? I don’t know…its all speculation.

KANYE ABOUT TO CRY …OR WAS HE ACTING?

WAS THE OCCULT IN THE HOUSE?

Some folks are crying foul suggesting that there were a lot of subliminal messages being tossed out there in at the awards. There were all sorts of lil signs being thrown out there. Then there was Lady GaGa’s crazy ass get ups and messages. Then there was Jack Black’s nutso devil worship session that people actually started to PRAY TO THE DEVIL! What the HELL!? No pun intended, but that was a bit much. There were other lil’ things, but I would rather not say.

JACKI O AND BRISCO MAKE UP!?

You know a man hitting a woman is not cool! Well, when Brisco hit Jacki O out in Cali on the set of a Lil Wayne video, all hell broke loose. And, Jacki seemed personally hurt that he would do such a thing. Well it seems like the two have made up and let bygones be bygones. Apparently, Jacki has a new song called “MIA” and Brisky is all up on the song. You know, she is not Rihanna and he is not Breezy….just make it happen.

MAIA CAMPBELL’S “PIMP” SPEAKS?

I swear, they should have never gave you people…that’s right YOU PEOPLE internet! Take it how you want to take it! Anyway, here is the latest degradation of society to befall us. The alleged PIMP of former actress Maia Campbell has hit the internet. I woul think he would get under a rock. Instead he takes to the net. After a while, I realize that this video is old so I am not going to put it up. Plus, the pimp said he is not a pimp and also said that he didn’t know he was talking to Maia Campbell. SMH. I’m finished.

THE TWITTER FOLLIES!

Slim Thug is more entertaining that a Black circus. Check out his twitters and see why he needs to put the damn lotion down and log off!!

I am not sure if Dizzie Rascal said this on Twitter, but I am gonna pretend he did. I KNOW he wouldn’t say it aloud.

“I’m going to be big like Michael Jackson.”

Will.I.Am was not happy that the Black Eyed Peas didn’t win anything even though they shattered sales records with their new album. On Twitter, he said the following:

“How is it that we’ve been #1 for 23 weeks and BEP gets no nominations. What is the MTV awards if the don’t “play” videos or recognize sizzle?”

A reporter for ABC news with more than 1 million Twitter followers decided to say the following in an “off the record” part of an interview with Obama:

“Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a “jackass” for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential.” Read the full story HERE.

Is this Joe Budden’s ex or some fake? What’s her issue with Tequila…that girl…read up.

ILLSEED’S QUICKIES

Word on the street is former Roc-a-fella affiliate Geda K is in talks with 50 Cent about possibly joining G-Unit as a solo artist.

50 Cent recently, according to rumor, that he WISHES Kanye had the nerve to run up on him like he did Taylor Swift. He said he would be swift to punch him in the eye.

Rumor has it that Michael Jackson’s son Blanket cries himself to sleep every night, grieving over his daddy.

Donald Trump has reportedly called for a boycott of everything that Kanye West does! Joe Jackson also called for such actions of Ye.

Illseed has started the boycott of Lil Mama, because she has to be very left out…lol…just kidding…

Whitney Houston has formally lied, I mean, denied to Oprah that she ever hit the pipe.

Internal investigations are close to levying charges against a pair of female officiers that sold the picture of Rihanna’s beat up face to TMZ.

EPIC WIN OF THE DAY

I have to call it how I see it. Rodney King has finally gotten his revenge back. The poster man for police brutality was involved in a boxing match last Friday, where he was in a boxing match fighting a cop. Well, he beat that cops tail in the ring! Ol’ Rodney won the match by unanimous decision over former Pennsylvania police officer Simon Aouad. It all when down as the Philadelphia Airport Ramada on Friday. He won $5,000. He should join with Coolio and do the “King and Coolio Revue.” Then they can get a cool 8 STACKS and chicken. Nevertheless, Rodney finally got to beat down a cop and not get beat down.

EPIC FAIL OF THE DAY

I saw this at the show and just died laughing. Check out this fail. I know MJ got a lil’ chuckle in heaven.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END

Is Lil Romeo getting air-brushed tats? Lets hope not. Rappers should get real tats that they regret later in life. Good to see P keeping his boy straight in this world. Forget rapping, go to school.

KERI HILSON OUT AND ABOUT

Ciara too…fashion week brings the best out in the ladies.

I’ll make this brief and get to the Rumors. HELLO, my name is Chance I am a rapper from Yonkers, NY, Co-founder of Crack Distributors and now ILLSEED’s newest assistant. YES!!!!! I want to thank Illseed for the opportunity to help him out as I’ve been coming here religiously for years and I want to thank all the readers that voted for me I PROMISE I WON‘T LET YOU DOWN. Feel free to hit me up on Twitter (my addiction) @ChanceCDR or e-mail [email protected]

if you have any comments, wanna shoot me your music (I like dope music)

or just wanna chat.  Now that that’s out of the way on to the good

stuff!!!!

BROS BEFORE HOESI thought the whole Kanye thing was a joke at first until the awkward moment after and the look of bewilderment on Miss. Swifts face.  Well the MTV execs were not playing around and they demanded Kanye apologize, when he refused he was escorted from the building.  Here’s where it gets interesting.  Apparently Jigga wasn’t feeling the way MTV treated his little brother and was very upset with the network.  Fast forward Beyonce, a class act, brings Taylor out to finish her speech.  Rumor has it Jay was not happy Bey publicly sided with MTV and even left Radio City Music Hall without his significant other; he opted to spend the rest of the night partying with RiRi.

Remember the good times:

RIHANNA TIMBERLAKE????I’m

hearing that Rihanna was scheduled to perform at the VMA’s but her

segment got cut at the last minute.  Since she wasn’t nominated for

anything Ri Ri decided to skip the awards … but as usual when it was

time to party she was ready.  She arrived at Jay-Z’s after party at the

40/40 Club a little after midnight accompanied by Hov (without Mrs.

Carter) and her Rehab co-star Justin Timberlake.  Justin and Rihanna

were spotted getting pretty hot and heavy in a hallway at the club.

However, it doesn’t look like there was a night-cap since they left in separate vehicles and Justin was later spotted partying with Diddy.

COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEFI

must admit I’m not a big Raekwon fan I was a little too young to f**k

with the Wu when they were in full force and I wasn’t super excited

about OB4CL2.  However, I did BUY a copy (it’s 10 bucks people) and

this album is DOPE!!!!!  A little too much for me but still dope.

Anyway I’m hoping when the numbers come out tomorrow Raekwon does his

thing but in the meantime here’s a little info you may not know.

About a month or so back my CDR family and I went to Noisemakers

with Raekwon hosted by Peter Rosenberg (Shouts to Mic Sean).  I didn’t get to see the whole interview since we left out early

to hit S.O.B’s but I did learn some interesting stuff:

-When Wu Tang signed their first deal with Loud Records they

received a $60,000 advance … after taxes, lawyers, managers, and

splitting the money  they each went home with about $500 for the 36

Chambers album…SMH that would have covered my weed habit for about 2

weeks

– Rae said the group always considered Method Man to be the “Michael

Jackson” of the Wu  … Guess they were right since Meth would become the

first to break out on his own when he signed to Def Jam

Q-Tip, who was shouting from the VIP, recalled how hard he tried to get

Rae under the Universal umbrella when it was time for him to go solo …

but Rae ultimately signed with Steve Rifkind

– After running out of condoms in Hawaii Old Dirty Bastard strapped up the only way fitting for someone with a name like  … using Saran Wrap … I thought he liked it raw???

I’M JUST SAYIN’

Lil

Mama knew she was dead wrong for that … Right after the VMA’s fiasco

Mickey Factz hit her with an “LOL” text and she replied “He’s gonna

kill me”.

My homey overheard O.G. Juan, Jay-Z’s friend and business partner,

cracking up over the fiasco and saying some of Jay’s security team was

gonna get the boot.

Joe

Jackson is doing his thing … showed up to the VMA’s with a grade-A

redbone … and I hear he walked into the 40/40 with one on each arm.

Did you peep Kanye and Jay performing “Good Life” at MSG feat none other than

… well you know … Who was hoping he came out???  Just me???  Oh yea

and didnt Mary [yonkers baby] perform her single The One … doesnt she use auto-tune on that???

This year has been crazy we lost a lot of icons … RIP Patrick Swayze

Kanye West Vows To Take Time Off

Rapper Kanye West vowed to remove himself from the limelight of fame in an exclusive interview with Jay Leno last night.West offered what appeared to be a sincere, nearly tearful explanation of the events that resulted in him interrupting an acceptance speech by singer Taylor Swift. In the unplanned interview, Leno asked West about how his mother, the late Dr. Donda West, would feel at his actions. West then revealed that he had never taken time to grieve and would eventually take time to reflect and collect himself. West said: “You know, obviously, you know, I deal with hurt. And, you know, so many celebrities, they never take the time off. I’ve never taken the time off to really — you know, just music after music and tour after tour,” he said. “I’m just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt. My dream of what awards shows are supposed to be, ’cause — and I don’t try to justify it because I was just in the wrong. That’s period. But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve. Because I am a celebrity, and that’s something I have to deal with. And if there’s anything I could do to help Taylor in the future or help anyone, I’d like — you know, I want to live this thing. It’s hard sometimes…”The moment was captured on Jay Leno’s prime-time debut Monday, a debut that also saw a performance by Jay-Z, West and Rihanna.West said that he didn’t realize exactly how rude he had behaved until he gave the mic back  to Swift and she didn’t continue her speech. He was showered with boos from the crowd even after he left the venue.West felt Beyonce’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” should have won for best female video award, not Swift’s “You Belong With Me.”Kanye said that he hoped to one day apologize to Swift face to face. He was not booed on the show.Below is a video of the interview in full:

President Obama Calls Kanye West A ‘Jackass’

Rapper Kanye West’s behavior at the 2009 VMA Awards helped him earn criticism from the most powerful man on earth, United States President, Barack Obama.

President Obama was being interviewed for CNBC earlier today when he labeled West a “jackass” for crashing the stage as country singer Taylor Swift was receiving an award for Best Female Video.

President Obama made the “jackass” comment about West during an off the record portion of an interview.

“Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a ‘jackass’ for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential,” ABC’s Terry Moran Tweeted before deleting the comment.

ABC issued a statement apologizing for Moran’s Tweet.

“ABC In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview,” ABC said in a statement. “This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again.”

The Presidential backlash comes after an allegedly drunk Kanye West interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech for winning Best Female Video for “You Belong With Me,” which topped Beyonce’s#### song “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It.)”
