CHRIS BROWNS LAMBO PROBS
Chris Brown sure has issues, but his issues are not that of Scott Storch. Anyway, somebody hit me up and told me he was down on Lowery Rd. in Norfolk, Va and they spotted something. There was an Escalade parked in the turning lane with its emergency lights on. So they passed annoyed obviously and little to behold they saw a blue Lamborghini. So they just thought they were admiring the car until the male in the car looked closer and saw that it was Chris Brown! I heard C. Breezy was on the phone with someone looking petrified or embarrassed. Apparently it was hard to tell exactly what his emotion was. Apparently, the Lambo was having problems and was waiting to be towed! You gotta get that oil changed! Every 3,000 miles, people! Anyway,Chris handlers were not having any pictures being taken so we dont have any of note to share.
FLESH-N-BONE TO GET OFF?
Here is some information I have that I hope will serve as good news to fans of Bone Thugs and Flesh N Bone. As you know, Flesh has an issue with a gun case. Late last week, he went to court. Apparently ( I dont know if this is common knowledge or not) the gun belongs to Flesh’s wife (who is a Chicago police officer). Thats interesting! Contrary to reports, the gun was found in a closet inside a locked case, not inside of a car with Flesh. Upon further investigation it has come to light that the cops used a saw to cut open the locked case during the search, which was illegal. This sounds crazy! Due to the illegal search Santa Mira district attorney is looking to drop the case against Flesh, but needs until Monday. WOW.

Constantly Cookin Classics just to name a few. Im from the Bronx, NY so this

away from the grittier edge of gangsta rap. Even Rick Ross is incorporating
more melodic and radio-friendly tracks onto his new LP. Do you both feel that
youll have to make those concessions for your Def Jam debut?
Torch: We make good music, thats what we do. This aint
ringtone rap; they just embrace our music so much they end up making ringtones
out of it. We dont go into the studio thinking about mainstream radio or
trying to be gangsta. We just tell it how it is. For example our first single
Yams, thats a street smash. Its going mainstream and that wouldnt be the
record you would usually hear on radio but the streets determine what you hear.
Gunplay: Hip-Hop is not getting away from the gritty side,
[but] the artists are. Hip-Hop loves the hood. Hip-Hop also loves to see
artists grow. Thats when they get away from the gritty side. Hip-Hop will
always be ghetto. Thats where it started.

Florida Rap Stars Unite for Young Leukemia Patient
Jasmina Anemas search to find a bone marrow donor is striking a chord among Florida-based entertainers and athletes, who have united to help the six-year-old leukemia patient.
Rappers Rick Ross, Trick Daddy, Pitbull and Flo-Rida are among the celebrities lending their support and assistance to a special event in honor of Anema.
The event is scheduled to take place from 1p.m. to 8 p.m. April 26 at the 163rd Street Mall, 1205 NW 163rd Street, North Miami.
Media sources report that a bone marrow donor is needed for Jasmina, who has just weeks to live after being diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of leukemia.
Organized by original Fat Boys member Prince Markie Dees Labor of Love Foundation, 103.5 The Beat, the Community Blood Centers of South Florida and AllHipHop.com, the event hopes to draw find those who stand a chance of being a match for Jasmina.
In addition to Ross, Trick Daddy and Flo-Rida, the event will include appearances from R&B/pop crooner Sean Kingston and Uncle Louie, as well as Ricky Williams of the Miami Dolphins and Ricky Davis of the Miami Heat.
Fans will be able to donate blood to the Centers at mobile blood banks as well as visit a tent set up at the Mall to see if they are a match for Jasmina.
The six-year-olds plight has garnered attention from the media and celebrities, which range from singers Rihanna and Kelly Rowland to supermodel/lifestyle designer Kathy Ireland.
Last month, Rowland helped celebrate Jasminas sixth birthday by paying a visit to her at NYU Medical Center.
Rihanna followed suit earlier this month as she surprised Jasmina, an admitted fan of the songbird. Since learning about Jasmina, Rihanna has been active in helping the young girl.
In February, the singer appealed for donors on behalf of Jasmina. The effort drew more than 4,000 donors.
Those attending the April 26 event will be treated to free drinks, snacks and pizza as well as a goody bag filled with a free T-shirt and free tickets to the Improv Comedy Club.
Autograph signings, celebrity photo sessions and a raffle for two free five-day/four- night Orlando vacations are also slated to take place with more giveaways to be announced in the days leading up to the event.

NYU Backs Founding of Hip-Hop Education Center
NYUs Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development have confirmed a partnership with the Hip-Hop Association (H2A) to launch the Hip-Hop Education (H2Ed) Center for Research, Evaluation, and Professional Development.
The H2Ed Center aims to ignite education reform by uniting national art programs and educational institutions for the purpose of the study and teaching of Hip-Hop culture.
Overseeing this endeavor will be a select advisory committee of educators, scholars, artists, and administrators wholl form a reliable think tank to keep abreast of new developments and challenges within the culture.
The H2Ed Center will utilize the annual HHEAL (Hip-Hop Educates and Advances Lives) Festival as its signature showcase.
Last April, the festival conducted a 2 day seminar featuring panels and workshops on Hip-Hops viability as an instrument for social change and human rights.
This year, HHEAL plans to add inspirational films and motivational speakers to the event. With the H2Ed now a reality, Hip-Hop Association President Martha Diaz argues Hip-Hop culture must continue to expand its voice beyond entertainment and consumerism.
Hip-Hop culture is an undeniable force that must be examined further in order to bring credence to this new field of education practice that is gaining traction, Diaz told AllHipHop.com. Creating the center has been both arduous and rewarding. We needed a space to conduct expert research, cultivate leadership, and create an archive that validates the work we do. With our academic supporters at NYU, we made it happen.

Ross will hit several key markets on the East Coast to promote his third album, which features appearances by Kanye West, Robin Thicke, Nas, Trina, Ne-Yo, T-Pain and others. Glasses Malone Ousted From Utah Prom Performance
A student-selected prom performance from Glasses Malone was recently aborted by school officials on the grounds of inappropriate music.
The students of Clearfield High School selected the West Coast emcee as part of a radio contest from station U92, which agreed to bring in an artist or band for the winning school.
After students sent close to 10,000 texts messages, Clearwater was selected to receive an exclusive concert from Malone.
However, school administrators immediately nixed the scheduled concert once the Watts natives lyrics were reviewed.
The type of songs he does is not appropriate for our school functions, Principal John Mills stated to the Standard-Examiner.
Although Malone singles Certified and Haters have been cleared for airplay by the Federal Communications Commission, U92 radio promotion coordinator Sergio Sanchez explained that Utah maintains higher conservative values than other states.
Utah is a conservative state. These artists are welcome at any school in any state in the country, Sanchez explained. I feel bad for the school and kids. Its not an issue with the kids. They know and understand the music, but the adults have a different perspective.
Glasses Malone will still complete a concert this Saturday (April 18) in Salt Lake City.
At press time, Malones debut album Beach Cruiser is set to be released on June 9.

I was talking to my dude JG over at Shaw University in NC. He told me earlier this week he was with some kids from his job in Columbus, Ohio and happened to come across some of the NYC students that were from the Shawn Carter Foundation. As if it wasn’t cool enough to see the Hova Foundation supporting the youth of NY, their chaperon introduced herself as none other than Gloria Carter aka Mama Hov. I didnt even know jay-Z STILL did this! You know, these stars do stuff and is just for show and then it disappears. But Jays doing it and including his mother. Dope! JG told me she was a real cool lady and used the word non-descript. She introduced herself (allow me to re-introduce myself, Im Mama Hov H to the OV!!) and went back to tending to her kids but the family resemblance was undeniable. Hi illseed and everyone else!!! I read your posts everyday and generally never have any gripes but toddy is another story!!I just want to make a comment on the posting that was on the site today. I am not trying to come off as being mean i just want you to know your facts before you start making a diss!!! Olaudah Equiano was a British Black man who fought for the abolishment of slavery in the 1700’s. He was first enslaved at the age of eleven and refused to change his name to the name that his slave master gave him. It is a lot more to this story but I am pretty sure you aren’t interested. All I am saying is when you put a story on your site do a little research first because he is one of our African ancestors that tried to do some good for us black people. Also he did write the book but someone else obviously decided that the only way to draw readers now a days is by depicting a portrait of Jay-Z so when you say “sic em Jay” you are making a positive situation into a negative one. If Jay-Z has any common sense he would be happy that his ugly ass is even on the cover of that book. I believe the Illustrator and Publishing Company decided to put his face on their to get people interested in the book! Might I add it is a very good book I had to read it for one of my classes you should check it out too!!! Pharcyde, MF Doom, Atomosphere Headline Soundset Fest
A number of Hip-Hop acts will band together and hit the road for Rhymesayers Entertainment and Rose Presents 2nd Annual Soundset Festival next month.
Over eight hours of independent Hip-Hop music will be featured during this years event, which will take place at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Atmosphere will take the stage to perform tracks from the album When Life Give You Lemons, You Paint That Sh*t Gold, while The Pharcyde will play the main stage with Imani, B##### Brown, SlimKid3 and Fatlip, the revered groups original lineup.
MF Doom will give a rare, one-time performance in the area for the first time since 2004, when Rhymesayers released the rappers critically acclaimed about MM..Food the same year.
Additionally, Philadelphia rapper Freeway will hit the stage with producer Jake One and the duo will treat fans to live renditions of tracks from their upcoming Rhymesayers release, The Stimulus Package.
Others on the bill include Immortal Technique, the legendary Def Jux camp, Prince Paul, P.O.S., Mr. Dibbs and TMQ.
Events also going on throughout the day include a DJ tent with a national B-Boy/B-Girl battle, a custom car show, a skate demo courtesy of 3rd Lair and other family oriented events.
According to organizers, over 14,000 fans attended last years outdoor festival, which took place at the Metrodome parking lot in Minneapolis.
The 2nd Annual Soundset Festival takes place May 24 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster for $30 plus applicable fees.
Xzibit Hit With $500k Tax Bill; Launches ‘Euro-Dollar’ Tour
Rapper/actor Xzibit is attracting attention from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for being delinquent on his taxes.
According to reports the entertainer, born Alvin Joiner, owes the IRS $501,840 in federal taxes.
The debt resulted from a $296,355 lien filed by the IRS in Los Angeles County on April 17, 2008.
That action was followed by a $205,485 lien the IRS filed in the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds office on February. 4.
Xzibit is the latest celebrity to come under fire for failing to pay taxes.
In March, the New York Department of Taxation repossessed a 2008 Lincoln Navigator belonging to Wu-Tang Clan member Method Man.
The seizure, which took place at the rappers Staten Island home, stemmed from the Method Mans failure to pay $52,503 in personal income taxes.
Last week, news surfaced that singer Dionne Warwick and actor/comedian Sinbad made the California Franchise Tax Boards list of delinquent taxpayers.
Sinbad, who was listed as Sinbad Adkins of Oak Park, Ill., ranked number one among celebrities with a debt of $2.5 million in back income taxes that go back to 1999.
Warwick trailed the actor, owing $2.1 million to the state of California.
News of Xzibits tax woes come amid the rappers current Euro-Dollar tour in Europe as well as the release of his latest film, American Violet.
The feature, which also stars Alfre Woodard, Nicole Beharie and Charles S. Dutton, is based on the real-life story of a single mother who takes a stand against a Texas district attorney after she is wrongly charged as a drug dealer and imprisoned.

of a beautiful woman. Vanity, Apollonia, Sheila E. Mayte do I need to keep
going? But despite taking a more spiritual road nowadays, US Weekly says the hitmaker is exhibiting a bit of his former
self as he gets his musical flirt on with Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz in the
song Valentina.
The name of the track, which can be found on Princes new
three-CD set, may not strike a nerve until you realize that Valentina is the
name of Hayeks 18-month old daughter. Hence the connection as the crooner

As tempting as a meeting with the Purple One may be, it may
be hard to make considering that Salma is now married. But hey, you cant blame
the guy for trying. Two times if you count the part of the song where he
targets Cruz, who is currently dating Oscar winner Javier Bardem.
If Penelope wants to Cruz there ain’t no way that we ain’t
gon’ dance, Prince sings.
Its nice to see the player in Prince still lives. Much
respect to the guys who have Salma and Penelope, but when Prince flirts with
your girl, you better tighten your grip. One song and its a wrap with a purple
rain of tears for not taking heed to the warning.
2. Jamie Foxx Practices Literal Insanity for The Soloist
Could this be why Jamie Foxx went in on Miley Cyrus and later
apologized?
With any actor, its always a plus when he or she can
completely dedicate themselves to a role, but Mr. Foxx may have put himself out
there a little too much. According to the Oscar winner, it got to the point
where he nearly lost his mind playing real life homeless schizophrenic cello
prodigy Nathanial Ayers in the upcoming film The Soloist.
You had to lose your mind every day you’re on set, and
sometimes you didnt have enough time to get your mind back before the weekend,
Foxx told EURs Lee Bailey. I
just remember calling my manager like, I know what it is; I know why he’s crazy!
And my manager’s like, Foxx? Are you okay? I said, No, no, no! He does this
because of this, he does that because of this, and I’m gonna go crazy, and I’m
gonna lose everything, and I’m gonna be homeless, but I’m gonna be able to play
the piano great [My manager] says, Foxx, I’m on my way over.
Despite believing that actors dont need their own
therapists while filming difficult roles, Foxx ended up taking his manager and
agents suggestion that he talk to a psychiatrist, just so you’ll have a way
to get out of your head, they said, according to the actor.
As a result, Foxx is sold on bringing in a therapist when
the need exists. I had no idea that the mind could be that fragile, he
said.

3. Amy Winehouse Turns Down Eminem Collaboration
Is it me or is Amy Winehouse deliberately trying not to make
a solid comeback? I could be wrong, but it looks like the embattled diva has
missed out on another chance to let her music do the talking rather than her
tabloid headlines.
According to The Sun,
Winehouse has turned down a chance to work with Eminem for the rappers highly
anticipated album, Relapse.
Eminem was hoping to repeat the success he had with his 2000 Dido-assisted hit
Stan by recruiting the songstress. But all plans for the collaboration fell
through according to a source, who revealed that it would only be a dream.
Eminem has followed Amy’s career closely. They have both
had drug addiction issues and he empathizes with her and hoped to feature her
on (comeback album) Relapse, the source
told The Sun. His idea was to
make a track as magical as Stan but unfortunately Amy declined
Despite Winehouses snubbing, the source stated that Eminem
was optimistic about a joint project somewhere down the road.
He understands that recently she hasn’t been in a state to
focus on music because of her tumultuous private life but he hopes they will get
together on a future project.
I hope Amy gets it together myself. The thought of her and
Em on a song has classic written all over it. The Rehab remix with Jay-Z was
good, but this could trump it if they ever get around to it.
4. Halle Berry Makes Vanity Fairs Most Beautiful; Calls Out Non-Exercising Celebs
Halle Berry has made yet another list. The only difference
is she isnt sitting pretty at the top.
That honor would have to go to Angelina Jolie, who ranked
Number One on Vanity Fairs list to find
the Most Beautiful Woman in the World with 58 percent of the vote. Berry was
among 19 other beauties listed for the magazines survey. Despite coming in at Number
Three (behind supermodel Gisele Bündchens nine percent) four percent of the
vote, Halle did get a leg up on Beyoncé who tied for fifth place with Slumdog
Millionaire star Frida Pinto, Cate
Blanchett, Catherine Deneuve and Natalia Vodianova with 2 percent.
The biggest disappointment, in my opinion was the amount of
votes for Kerry Washington (one percent). Is it too late for a recount?
No matter what, Kerry always ranks high on my (and Mr.
Richardsons) most beautiful list. But being beautiful, sexy, or whatever you
want to call it doesnt come without its fair share of work. Just ask Halle,
who called out celebrities who say they stay slim without exercising. Talking
with Harpers Bazaar, it seems the
actress shares other womens pain as she admitted to having to work hard to
keep that body of hers.
God bless them if they’re telling the truth. It’s
questionable if they are, said Berry. I always had to diet. I’m diabetic, so
it’s a lifestyle for me anyway just to stay healthy and not end up in the
hospital.
And there you have it. Another celebrity we can relate to.
Take away the money, fame and I can picture her at Wal-Mart on any given day
searching for the next big bargain.

5. Eva Mendes Supports the Pleasure Principle
As one of the most beautiful women around, Eva Mendes can
command a captive audience. Maybe thats why she was on hand last week to
launch the worlds largest survey on pleasure as Magnums Global Pleasure
Ambassador.
According to Fox News, the poll is aimed at discovering the
human pleasure quotient through surveying 100,000 people from around the world.
The results from the survey will be released in a few months.
As far as what gives Miss Eva pleasure, the answer is simple
if you ask her.
I love chocolate! I like chocolate like no-one else and I
love indulging, Mendes shared with Fox News. In fact, I am all about
pleasure. I am the girl who will get three massages a week — thats my
luxury and thats where I spend most of my money. Im not a big shopper, but I
love facials and spas and everything indulgent when it comes to the body and
pampering. I am a girly girl at heart.
And while she loves her chocolate, Eva is quick to say that
she doesnt mind paying the price as she works out at least five days a week to
maintain what she has.
I put in a lot of time at the gym to ensure that I am able
to indulge at other times. Pleasure is pain.
Well thats nice to know. That and the fact that Eva
believes that women should learn to ask for what they want in all areas of
their lives more than they currently do.
I want to encourage the world to inject more pleasure into
their lives and I think especially at this time in the world where its all
doom and gloom its a fantastic time to talk about pleasure and work out how to
get more pleasure into our lives.
I couldnt agree with her more. Why cant we just
concentrate on the pleasures in life instead of all the drama? Makes for a less
stressful life. But dont get it twisted. Despite advocating pleasure in all
its forms, Eva admits that being recognized for her talent rather than her
looks would generate more personal pleasure than anything else.

* TLCs Chili is coming back to the public eye via the power
of advertising. Billboard.biz reports the Grammy winner will help promote
Coca-Cola’s Dasani and Dasani Essence water brands through a series of radio,
print, digital and in-store ads. According to Dasanis Vice President of
African-American marketing, Yolanda White, the campaign will target
African-American moms as African-American women are heavy purchasers of
packaged waters and that the new effort is about invigorating women in a that
allows her to escape her daily challenges.
In addition to the main brand, Dasanis recently launched
Essence unsweetened, flavored waters will be highlighted in the Chili-featured
effort. The 38-year-old entertainer/single mom was chosen for the campaign
because she embodies the struggles and the balance we see in our target
audience, White said. She gives reassurance to moms that you can still be a
great mom, take care of yourself and look beautiful.
* Famed R&B group Frankie Beverly and Maze will be the
latest collective to be honored with a tribute CD. Media sources report that
the production will being this month for the project, which is being helmed by
Beverlys son, Anthony and will highlight the vocalists four decades of
entertaining fans with a catalogue that includes 30 hit singles and 12 albums.
In addition to the album, a commemorative DVD will be included that will
feature interviews with those contributing to the album as well as current and
former music industry executives and community leaders who will weigh in on how
Beverly and Maze impacted the music industry and African American culture.
* Michael Jacksons stuff is officially off the auction
block, thanks to a settlement reached between the iconic singers production
company and Julien’s Auction House. As part of the deal, Jackson has told
Juliens Auction House to beat and gets away like a smooth criminal while
retaining the nearly 2,000 items that were slated to be auctioned off next
week.
Cost of organizing the sale: $2 million. Predicted revenue
generated by the auction items: $12 million. Cost of Michael (literally)
holding on to his past: Priceless.
