FOX To Make TV Show Based On O.J. Simpson Murder Trial

Will You Tune In To the OJ Simpson Movie?

(AllHipHop News) Over 17 years since a jury decided the glove did not fit so they had to acquit, FOX decides to turn the most publicized murder trial of the last 20 years into a TV show.

Tentatively entitled The Run of His Life: The People vs. O.J. Simpson, the show is being called an “event series” and is planned to have 10 to 12 episodes. Written by Academy Award winning writers Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski the show would transport viewers to the 1995 trial and the behind the scenes stories rarely told.

This is not FOX’s first attempt at revisiting the murder trial. In 2006, planned to hold a two-part interview with Simpson during the promotion of controversial book If I Did It.  In the press release, the station revealed that the interview would show as “Simpson describes how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade.”

On the infamous day of June 17th, 1994, Simpson led police officers on a highway chase that resulted in him ultimately surrendering to police at his home.
