Today, the A3C Festival & Conference and iHipHop Distribution release the seventh annual A3C compilation album, A3C Volume 7. A3C Volume 7 marks the seventh year that the A3C Festival & Conference and iHipHop Distribution have come together, continuing the highly-regarded series. 

The A3C compilation series has played an important role within the genre, as an indicator to help determine which artists will establish themselves in the ever-changing hip-hop landscape. Artists from past compilations have include G-Eazy, Curren$y, Action Bronson, Big K.R.I.T, Vince Staples, Ab-Soul, A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown, Underachievers, Smoke DZA, Trademark Da Skydiver, Freddie Gibbs, Sir Michael Rocks, Alex Wiley, Mick Jenkins, Dave East, Thouxanbanfauni, Robb Bank$, Michael Christmas, Tunji Ige, Manolo Rose, and Trinidad James, and more.  Because of the success of past artists that have appeared on A3C, the compilation has received recognition from numerous outlets including Apple, as its editors raved, “the A&R rep has done a commendable job, cherry-picking some of the most promising, would-be rap stars from countless wannabes.”

This year’s compilation presents the foremost emerging artists with 49 tracks from the newest generation of hip-hop’s torchbearers.  Artists appearing on A3C Volume 7 include Kodie Shane, Yung Booke (Hustle Gang), Yung Bans, Lucki, Terrance Escobar, Squidnice, Trizz, Mir Fontane, Rolling Stone P, Nell, Meko Supreme, Lil West, Caleborate, Cookie Money, Jimmy Wopo, Kamiyada+, ITSOKYTOCRY, Chuuwee, Calev, Solomonilla, Trippy Tha Kid, Smrtdeath, BigBabyGucci, Johnny Apollo, King Z3US, Brudda Haitian and many more.

Warner Robins, GA
Georgia’s Brudda Haitian has been grinding arduously towards his musical goals. No stranger to putting forth maximum effort, Haitan began generating legitimate buzz with his 2016 single, “Gone Bad”. Set on continuing that momentum, “Max Out” continues the upstart’s musical ascent.

06.  Lucki – “Play” (p###. Forza)
Chicago, IL
A student of the game and a product of his environment, Lucki delivers an enticing sound predicated on a blending of traditional Chicago drill music with soulful accents.

07. Yung Bans – “Ain’t Know” (p###. Soldado)
Atlanta, GA
Atlanta keeps churning out talent, and Yung Bans is no exception. The 18-year-old rapper has collaborated with great talent, including: XXXTENTACION, Playboi Carti, Smokepurpp, Lil Pump, and Ski Mask The Sump God.

08.  BigBabyGucci – “I Ain’t Never Comin Down” (p###. Joe Dirt)
Nashville, TN
Nashville’s BigBabyGucci delivers a distinct aesthetic that hinges upon his woozy bars and sonics. Putting on for the south, BigBabyGucci has garnered an impressive following that bodes well for his future.

09.  ITSOKTOCRY – “Evangelion” (feat. Superlove) (p###. Boy Floss)
Denver, CO
Hailing from Denver, CO, ITSOKTOCRY uses a combination of vivid imagery and genre-bending sonics to formulate his eccentric style and to separate himself from hip-hop’s rising talent pool.

10.  Kodie Shane – “Bounce Back” (p###. Bradlea Roi)
Atlanta, GA
Kodie Shane, the 18 year-old who is breaking barriers for female artists in Atlanta. Kodie, who is a frequent collaborator and an official member of Lil Yachty’s Sailing Team, has made waves this year with her debut EP Zero Gravity which was followed by Back From the Future EP in August. She has been profiled in The FADER’s GenF as well as Pitchfork’s Rising columns. Kodie performed at this year’s A3C Festival after coming off of 32 days on tour with Yachty and 23 dates with Lil Uzi Vert.

11. ellen o – “Every Day” (feat. Smoke DZA) (p###. ellen o)
Brooklyn, NY
Brooklyn’s ellen o is a classically trained artist who injects her highbrow musicality into the music landscape. Combining numerous tonal elements while orbiting her EDM soul, ellen o distills her eclectic background into a sonically pleasing product. You/Sonata, ellen’s Babygrande Records debut, was released in November 2017.

12.  Rolling Stone P – “Hooligans” (p###. Air Kalo)
Newark, NJ
No stranger to the grind, Rolling Stone P is a proud New Jersey-based rapper who uses a raspy flow carried out over upbeat, trap-centric production to formulate an undeniable allure.

Finding great success with his hit single “Watch Me Do It,” which has been climbing the charts in Atlanta, Drako combines addicting lyrics with a quick flow to bolster his impressive rise.

Coming out of Los Angeles, newcomer, LeFemme Buo, offers an undeniable energy that is facilitated by an array of hip-hop production.

Jamestown, RI (Gizmo) / Prunedale, CA (Prohibeo)
Rhode Island’s Gizmo sits at the center of varying musical genres, taking influence from metal, hip- hop, grunge, and rock to make his mark on music. California’s Prohibeo combines contrasting musical elements to impart an experimental sound, making for a fresh sound.

Cuba Chris is a Stone Mountain, GA rapper grinding impressively towards his musical goals.

21-year-old Washington D.C. transplant by way of Philadelphia, Spell Jordan, has built an impressive following in the DMV area, allowing him to collaborate with guys like Lil Xan, Matt Ox, and GYYPS. Staten Island rapper Squidnice started gaining serious buzz with his hit record, “Trap By My Lonely”. Featured in XXL’s “The Break”, the 20-year-old rapper has his eyes set on big goals, and is intent on making them a reality.
