(AllHipHop News) Dogg Pound member Daz Dilligner has come forward to deny reports that he’s at the center of a lawsuit holding up the upcoming Tupac movie.
According to TMZ.com Daz Dillinger has a conflict with publishing company BMG for green lighting the use of the track “Ambitionz of a Ridah” in the trailer and for the movie.
The report claims Daz owns a significant portion of the song, and has not reached an agreement with BMG, a company he has had legal issues with in the past.
But Daz took to Instagram to deny reports that the movie is being held up in a dispute over one of Tupac’s most recognized singles.
“Ain’t nothing derailed about that Tupac ‘All Eyez On Me’ movie. My homeboy LT Hutton, Benny Boom still full blast with that motherf##ker,” Daz said as he winked and blew a kiss to BMG.
In June, production company Morgan Creek debuted the trailer for the “All Eyez On Me” biopic, which is being directed by Benny Boom and stars Demterius Shipp Jr. as Tupac and Danai Gurira as Afeni Shakur.
Although the film was originally scheduled to be released in September, TMZ reports the date has now been postponed due to the possible clearance issues.
BMG has not yet released a statement on the current conflict with Daz.
