(AllHipHop News) Drake has notched up another record in the U.S. charts just days after becoming the most celebrated artist at the Billboard Music Awards.

Drake picked up 13 trophies at the prizegiving on Sunday night – the most for any act in a single year – and now it has been noted he is the first artist to remain on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for eight uninterrupted years.

Drake first hit the countdown in May, 2009 with “Best I Ever Had” – and he hasn’t left, spending a successive 420 weeks on Hot 100.

He currently has three tracks on the countdown – “Passionfruit” at 21, “Portland” at 58, and he is a featured artist on Gucci Mane’s “Both” at 44.

His nearest Hot 100 run rival is pal Lil Wayne, who landed 326 consecutive weeks on the Hot 100, while Rihanna is third with 216 weeks.

In total, the rapper has racked up 20 top 10 hits on the Hot 100 and a total of 154 titles on the countdown.
