(AllHipHop News) Brooklyn emcee Joey Bada$$ is known for spitting bars on projects like 1999, B4.Da.$$, and All-Amerikkkan Badass. The 22-year-old recording artist decided to display his singing talents in triple j’s Like A Version series.
Joey covered the classic 1984 Prince song “When Doves Cry” for the Australian radio station. Instead of performing the same lyrics written by the late cultural icon, Bada$$ changed the words for “When Thugs Cry.”
In addition, the rapper also known as joZif BADMON found out this month he earned a platinum plaque for his song “Devastated.” The track’s video has collected over 22 million views on YouTube.
