Rick Ross Discusses New VH1 Series, Why He Never Signed A Female Rapper & More (VIDEO)

ROZAY STOPS BY ‘THE BREAKFAST CLUB’

(AllHipHop News) On July 26th, VH1 will begin airing its new competition series Signed.

The show follows Maybach Music Group head Rick Ross, Roc Nation executive Lenny S., and Radio Killa Records founder The-Dream, as the three moguls search for new artists.

Ross stopped by The Breakfast Club to talk about Signed and what he wants in an aspiring talent hoping to join his label.

“When I’m looking for an artist, I’m really just looking for something I’ve never seen,” said Rozay. “If it’s something that’s unique, I feel that’s something that’s in demand. After that, I want to see that hunger.”

Angela Yee then asked the Rather You Than Me album creator why he has never signed a female Hip Hop artist to his MMG roster.

“I never did it because I always thought I would end up f-cking the female rapper, f-cking the business up. I’m so focused on my business. I got to be honest with you,” Ross joked. “She’s looking good. I’m spending so much money on her photo shoots. I gotta f-ck her a couple of times.”

While he has yet to add a woman to the MMG crew, Rick Ross has seen success with the DMV’s Wale and Philadelphia’s Meek Mill.

The Florida representative broke down why he signed Wale and Meek in a 2015 interview with AllHipHop.com.

His sit down with The Breakfast Club also included Ross talking about Meek Mill, Birdman, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, Chris Rock, and more.
