Country music superstar Kenny Chesney recently reminded 50 Cent and Kanye West that he too is a contender for the #1 spot on the charts on September 11, the day the two world famous rappers’ albums hits stores.

Chesney’s 11th album Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates, is due in stores the same day as 50 and Kanye’s albums, the third release for both artists.

”It’s funny how with every record that comes out, we’re aware of the urban [competition], and none of those acts acknowledge that I exist, until I have that No. 1 debut on the Top 200,” Chesney told EW.

The country music star’s album should give 50 Cent and Kanye West good cause to worry, as it could relegate either 50’s Curtis or Kanye’s Graduation to third place on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

Cheseny’s last four albums have debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart, including The Road and the Radio, which actually topped the soundtrack to 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ when the album hit stores in November of 2005.

Still, 50 Cent believes Kanye West is no competition.

“To have people come out and say it’s a bout, it ain’t no bout or competition,’ 50 Cent told AllHipHop.com. “The guy [Kanye West] will say to you right away, ‘I don’t mind being number two.’ He’ll make the statement, ‘cause it’s clear that there ain’t no competition like that.”

“It’s something really great for Hip-Hop,” West said during an appearance on the UK’s The Friday Night Project television show this past Friday (August 17).

“50 Cent he’s a pretty intimidating guy,” West said. “I don’t want to go to war with him, I just want to put out my album. I really like 50, I don’t want him to retire once my album sells the most.”

West than pleaded: “50 do not retire, once my album sells and beats your album.”

For now, West can claim the #1 spot in the UK.

The rapper’s#### single “Stronger” has hit #1 in the UK, giving the rapper his first chart-topping single in the country.

West is slated to play a secret show in London tonight.
