(AllHipHop News) Bay Area rapper Celly Cel is preparing to release his first ever novel titled “Big Faces.”
The rapper, who has worked with a number of artists including E 40, Spice 1, B-Legit and others, became interested it writing street literature after becoming a fan of Donald Goines.
Celly Cel was introduced to Donald Goines’ literary works during a brief stint in county jail, where he read Goines’ book “White Man’s Justice, Black Man’s Grief.”
According to Celly Cel, although the book is fictional, portions of the of the story are based on his real-life experiences.
Big Faces follows the story of four young men in community college, who steal luxury cars at night.
The group, known as “The Stun Gun Crew,” managed to elude the police until a heist worth millions goes wrong.
All the while, the mob is seeking to recover a stolen briefcase along the way.
Celly Cel’s first novel “Big Faces” is due in stores on November 8.
