(AllHipHop Rumors) I often wonder about the dudes close to Kanye West, you know, his friends. I believe I know a thing or two about loyalty and sticking by somebody through think-n-thin. Trust me, things have never perfect at AllHipHop, but I am still here with the crew. Now, Kanye is another level! But a lot of these cats are sticking by him without any sort of regard for the danger in how he peddles his dogma.
However, John Legend has peeked out just a bit in a recent interview with Vanity Fair and It seems like he’s distancing himself from the man that signed him.
“Kanye, if he’s for you, he’s a very ardent marketer and cheerleader…I think what was always challenging about it was Kanye has never been political. I don’t think he knows one way or another what policies of Trump’s he likes. He just kind of embraced Trump’s blow-it-all-up spirit and the energy of himself being countercultural in supporting him…I’m not trying to disown Kanye because I still love him and love everything we’ve done together creatively- but we were never the closest of friends.”
What we should understand too, is that John Legend has expanded his empire to film, tv and other streams of revenue. Others have not done so and so I can only assume they have some financial need to the man. And there is nothing wrong with that, but it would be dope to hear somebody say that.
John Legend didn’t exactly say that, but he certainly said “Whose man is this?” or pulled a Mariah.
Nevertheless, Kanye is still here with all his family and friends rooting him on even though he supports one of the nastiest and divisive presidents ever. And that’s me being nice. People are even calling him Maga West!
It cracks me up how John Legend seems to be the softest dude on G.O.O.D. Music, but he’s really the strongest.
Now, remember this: last year Kanye and John had a falling out of sorts when Kanye violated their friendship. John Legend tried to talk some sense in him and then he posted this private chat on social media without permission. They joked about it, but I am sure that didn’t bode well for future conversations.
Let me go!
