It looks like newcomer Azealia Banks has other things going on besides trying to humiliate T.I. on twitter. The rapstress has announced that she will be performing at the upcoming Costume Institute Gala at the MET, tweeting the following:

“I’ve Been invited to Perform for PRADA next week in NYC! Gonna b so lush !! Let’s see what new songs I debut there! #metball2012.

But according to Page Six, Banks was not their first choice and instead got the nod because Nicki Minaj never signed her contract, leaving the organizers scrambling to find a replacement.

Banks’ tweets were removed a short time later.
