Beyonce Tops Google’s Most-Searched Artists & Songs Lists For 2016

RAE SREMMURD, DESIIGNER & DRAKE JOIN QUEEN BEY ON THE LIST OF HITS

(AllHipHop News) Does it come as a surprise that Beyoncé was the most searched artist on Google for the year?

Bey dominated headlines throughout 2016 thanks to performing at the Super Bowl, releasing her Lemonade movie/album, taking the stage at the BET Awards/VMAs /CMA Awards, collecting 9 Grammy nominations, and other newsworthy accomplishments.

The music superstar also topped Google’s list of most-searched songs of 2016.

“Formation” landed at #1 with the late Prince’s “Purple Rain” coming in second place.

Several rap acts saw their hits make the Top 5 as well.

Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” is listed at #3, Desiigner’s “Panda” is listed at #4, and Drake’s “One Dance” is listed at #5.

All three songs spent time at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart at some point in 2016.

Kehlani, Teyana Taylor, and Kanye West joined Beyoncé on the Google list of most searched music artists.
