John Legend Calls Kanye West’s Meeting With Donald Trump A “Publicity Stunt” (VIDEO)

THE R&B SINGER IS “DISAPPOINTED” HIS FRIEND WANTED TO VOTE FOR TRUMP

(AllHipHop News) John Legend is not a fan of his friend Kanye West’s recent meeting with President-Elect Donald Trump.

The R&B singer spoke with CliqueTV about the West-Trump meet-up at Trump Towers in New York City.

“I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to him about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt,” said Legend. “I think Kanye was a publicity stunt. I’m pretty disappointed with Kanye that he says he would have voted for Trump.”

The Darkness and Light album creator continued, “I think Trump has been corrosive, his message has been corrosive to the country. I think the thing he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people.”

At some point throughout his campaign, Trump discussed creating a deportation force to remove all undocumented immigrants, banning Muslims from entering America, and punishing women for getting an abortion.

Kanye posted on Twitter that he sat with Trump to discuss multicultural issues such as bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculum, and violence in Chicago.
