(AllHipHop News) Amanda Bynes ‘wasn’t insincere’ with her infamous Drake tweets

Actress Amanda Bynes was “trying to be hilarious” when she posted a vulgar message on Twitter directed at her rap crush Drake back in 2013.

The “Easy A” star had been hitting headlines for all the wrong reasons four years ago, as she battled substance abuse issues, which led to her erratic behaviour and various legal woes.

She also raised concerns with her social media activity, particularly when she began obsessing over Drake in a series of odd tweets.

“I want @drake to murder my v#####,” she infamously posted.

When he failed to respond to her bizarre request, Amanda began insulting the Canadian star’s mother and his looks, insisting the “Jumpman” hitmaker looks “ugly” “weird” and “disturbing.”

However, she then confused followers by having a sudden change of heart and calling Drake, “The Man Of My Dreams.”

At the time, Drake claimed he had no idea who Bynes was, admitting the unwanted attention was “a little weird and disturbing.”

Now the former child star, who is almost three years sober, has reflected on her bizarre past posts in a candid new interview with Hollyscoop founder Diana Madison, blaming her drug use for the strange messages – although she admits she really does find Drake attractive.

“I actually wasn’t being insincere…,” she said. “I was serious, but I was also on drugs, so that was my way of saying, ‘Let’s do it, man.’ But I was on drugs and trying to be hilarious. He’s hot…! It just means, like, ‘F##k me, Drake!'”

Elsewhere in the interview, Bynes’ first in four years, she revealed at the height of her personal troubles, she got piercings in her face to make herself look more like model Blac Chyna.

“I stole her look!” the actress confessed. “I was getting the microdermals in my cheeks because she had them. I thought they looked super hot on her. I never said that she stole my look. I’m a fan of hers. She’s adorable.”

Amanda also expressed her love for former “All That” co-star Nick Cannon, who had tried to reach out to offer his support during her struggles: “I know that he called me family, and I love that,” she shared. “He’s definitely a family member to me too.”
