(AllHipHop Features) First quarter 2018 definitely belongs to Hip Hop mogul Jay-Z.
The legendary rapper has been just as active as he’s always been in these first three months, with no signs of slowing down.
From being the most nominated artist at the 2018 Grammys with eight nominations, being honored with the Grammy Salute to Industry Icons Award at Clive Davis‘ annual Pre-Grammy Gala, and upping his net worth from $810 million to $900 million, Jay-Z has proved time and time again how he has made an indelible mark on both music and business.
Hov has even topped this year’s “Forbes Five: Hip Hop’s Wealthiest Artists” list this year.
AllHipHop caught up with T.I. who expressed his excitement in seeing Jay-Z being honored and celebrated this year.
“I mean it’s unmentionable. I think that his contributions to the culture to the industry have been immeasurable throughout the years. I think that he has the greatest numbers, the greatest amount of classics, the greatest amount of Grammys. I think that this is a time that I would say is long overdue but considering how young he is in the culture, I think that it’s just about that time. So I’m happy to be able to be here and be present and represent for a guy that I’ve come up patterning a lot of my moves after, and actually have the pleasure of working alongside in the business,” said T.I.
What’s next for Tip you ask?
“More music, more movies, more fashion, more money, he added.”
