Did Keyshia Cole Vandalize Bow Wow’s Associate’s Car?

Photo via Bow Wow’s Instagram

Bow Wow recently celebrated his 29th birthday. However, the celebration wasn’t complete without a little bit of drama. Bow Wow says one of his exes decided to drive by and throw cake on what they thought was his car. The car was his friend’s car, and now his friend is saying his car was actually egged…..by Keyshia Cole! Remember there were rumors that Keyshia Cole & Bow Wow were dating. Both took to social media to deny the rumors, but Bow Wow denied them more than Keyshia did. Bow Wow said they were reviewing the footage to see exactly who it was. The fact that Bow’s friend already blames Keyshia Cole makes us believe she may have been the culprit. Keyshia tweeted,

“Then n*ggas wonder why they get f*cked up. Stop playing with me ASAP.”

Hmmmmmm.

2 Chainz Explains Why He Never Signed To Young Money; Talks ‘Collegrove’ Project With Wayne

(AllHipHop News) Throughout the history of Hip-Hop, rappers have occasionally paid homage to the rappers that came in waves before their time.  Be it in the form of sampling an older song, quoting lyrics or collaborating like 2 Chainz did with Wayne recently, there are levels of respect to this rap game that are earned.

In this interview with The Breakfast Club we learn why 2 Chainz has steadily ascended the social ladders of Rap, as the ATL rapper entertained with humor and candor.

During his time on the Power 105/Revolt radio show with Angela, Envy and Charlamagne, 2 Chainz spoke on a host of topics including his most recent Collegrove project. The effort is a dedication of sorts to Lil Wayne, who influenced and believed in 2 Chainz’ potential to make it in Rap.

“I been rockin with Wayne since forever. I know people say real and all that stuff all the time, but I just feel like he’s one of the realest people in the game. He still has a crazy work ethic and we’ve been working on this project really our whole life, but really just saying we were going to put out a project for like a year.  Great feedback – it’s my album, but its like [Raekwon & Ghostface],” 2 Chainz explained with the help of Angela Yee finishing his sentence.

“That’s definitely what this is, I’m a huge Wu-Tang fan, Raekwon, then you had Only Built for Cuban Linx. It was really Raekwon’s album but it had Ghostface on the cover,” 2 Chainz explained. “It was epic, so for this album it’s a dedication to my brother, one of my favorite rappers of all time and it was fun. Just imagine being in the studio – it was just fun creating this project.”

The project includes a host of the current Atlanta producers including Zaytoven, Mike Will and Metro Boomin to name a few. Mannie Fresh is also on production showcasing the music from both rapper’s cities.

2 Chainz says he didn’t have any difficulty clearing samples in the face of rumors that the project would be a mixtape, eluding to the fact that he has good relationships and the fact that Wayne and Baby are also both on Universal.

But was it all fate? For 2 Chainz yest, he considers linking up with Wayne a blessing that came through God, due to the changes that came in his life afterwards in 2008.

“That blessing which came from God, but came through Lil Wayne – it changed my life because it gave me a taste of shows, the life, something that I wanted to be a part of.   When I went on tour with him and was able to see his work ethic and see what it took to get to this level, which I acknowledge every chance that I get –  it changed the way I looked at music.  I was playing with it at first  – you can’t play with this music. I owned a studio and wasn’t using it every day. That changed after ’08. Ever since ’08 I’ve been  doing music every single day of my life – whether its recording something musically every day of my life,  and I’ve enjoyed the fruits of my labor from it,” 2 Chainz explained.

At that point 2 Chainz explained to Charlamagne why he never signed with Young Money:

“Because I was being loyal to ‘Cris [Ludacris] and Dolla. You know what I’m saying, it was a situation where I didn’t want it to be like I was clique hoppin at the time. I swear that was my answer – it ain’t like I didn’t want to. It was like I was working on another Playaz Circle project, I really felt like this could work, you know what I’m saying? Deep down I’m thinking that these records cold, I’m listening to what everybody like and  like any other artist you compare and contrast.  I’m like our bars up to par, our production up to par but it never clicked and the dots never clicked fan wise. It did on the underground level but not on a mass level.”

Biggie Raps Over Metro Boomin Tracks Equals The New Mixtape By Mick & Chi Duly

(AllHipHop News) There have been so many incarnations of Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace in Hip-Hop. What else is there to do? Mick and Chi Duly have taken it upon themselves to take the vocals of the late, great legend and remix it with Metro Boomin’ – the current great. Some may immediately discard Ready To Boom, but that would be premature. The mixtape distorts and merges the two artists into a seamless new work. Nothing is off limits so keep an open mind.

Check it out and comment.

Young Metro trusts this mix, trust us.

Maybe in the fall or winter,” said Makonnen. “Everybody has so many different styles, and it’s really on tapping into which style people want. You can do the hard songs and the soft songs. You want to give the perfect balance.”

Kim Kardashian Responds To Critics That Continue To Mention Her Sex Tape

(AllHipHop News) Kim Kardashian once again found herself in the center of controversy over nudity and “s###-shaming.” The reality show star uploaded a provocative picture to Twitter this week, and she quickly received backlash from Bette Midler, Piers Morgan, Chloe Moretz, and countless other social media users.

After directly responding to Midler, Morgan, and Moretz on Twitter, Kim K had some words for the rest of her detractors. The wife of Kanye West posted a message on her website addressing criticism that she is a bad role model for exposing her body. In addition, Kardashian took issue with people still mentioning the sex tape she did with Ray J.

Read Kim Kardashian’s #StraightUp message below.

Hey, guys. I wanted to write a post elaborating on my tweets last night. In all seriousness, I never understand why people get so bothered by what other people choose to do with their lives.

I don’t do drugs, I hardly drink, I’ve never committed a crime—and yet I’m a bad role model for being proud of my body?

It always seems to come back around to my sex tape. Yes, a sex tape that was made 13 years ago. 13 YEARS AGO. Literally that lonnng ago. And people still want to talk about it?!?!

I lived through the embarrassment and fear, and decided to say who cares, do better, move on. I shouldn’t have to constantly be on the defense, listing off my accomplishments just to prove that I am more than something that happened 13 years ago.

Let’s move on, already. I have.

I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me. And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world.

I am empowered by my husband, who is so accepting and supportive and who has given me a newfound confidence in myself. He allows me to be me and loves me unconditionally.

I feel so lucky to have grown up surrounded by strong, driven, independent women. The life lessons I’ve learned from my sisters, my mother and my grandmother, I will pass along to my daughter. I want her to be proud of who she is. I want her to be comfortable in her body. I don’t want her to grow up in a world where she is made to feel less-than for embracing everything it means to be a woman.

It’s 2016. The body-shaming and s###-shaming—it’s like, enough is enough. I will not live my life dictated by the issues you have with my sexuality. You be you and let me be me.

I am a mother. I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, an entrepreneur and I am allowed to be sexy.

Canelo vs. Khan Tour Ends With Trump Sized Bang

It was the end of a whirlwind three city international press tour for the  Saul “El Canelo” Alvarez (46-1-1, 32KOs) vs. Amir “King ” Khan (31-3-0, 19KOs) Cinco De Mayo weekend fight that Donald Trump built, according to Golden Boy Promoter Oscar De La Hoya last week in Los Angeles – the final stop on the tour: “The response we had in the UK was amazing and New York was incredible,” said De La Hoya in describing the previous stops to promote the battle scheduled for May 7, 2016 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the brand new T-Mobile Arena.  “Here in LA, I can’t wait to start the press conference at 6:00pm tonight and I have to thank Mr. Trump for this,” concluded De La Hoya with a mischievous cheese eating grin.

Honest Abe, to hear De La Hoya tell it, the idea of matching up red hot WBC World Middleweight champion Alvarez against former two time light-welterweight Khan was borne directly from De La Hoya’s internal reaction to the somewhat incendiary Mexican and Muslim campaign talk of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump. “You have the biggest Mexican fighter on the planet today (in Canelo) and one of the most popular Muslim fighters in Amir Khan,” intoned the East LA born and bred De LA Hoya, adding with a wide grin, “I mean sh*t, this is like a dream come true for Mr. Trump.  It’s the biggest fight of this year!”

To add to the fight festivities, Oscar De La Hoya plans to include the planting of a tree of peace in Las Vegas as a measure of exactly what he believes bringing together a pro Mexican audience along with a pro Muslim audience can do to generate great American entertainment, fun and national revenue for all. “Fight fans will tune in, casual fans will tune in.  The brand new arena, T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas, Cinco De Mayo weekend.  We’ve already put the order in – bring in extra Tecate beer because the fans are going to be thirsty that weekend, ” concluded a pleased as punch De La Hoya.

While Trump’s views might appear to be the major the controversial foil for the May boxing match up, the real controversy that keeps unfolding would seem to be centered around the question of weight.  When it comes to Alvarez’s first title defense of his much desired WBC title, the fact that Khan is jumping up not one but two weight classes to fight Canelo at 155 has been the cause of much speculation and concern that the battle might prove a mismatch in Alvarez’s favor.  Nevertheless, despite these concerns on paper, viewed side by side during the media tour, many noted that Khan rather than Canelo would seem to be the naturally bigger man.  To hear Amir subsequently address the issue to the press, he seemed to be more on the side of enjoy the novelty of his unusual status versus dreading the difficulties:  “I’ve never gone into any fight as a professional where I’ve been the underdog and that for me is massive,” stated Khan, adding: “I really believe that that’s going to work on my side going into this big fight.”

As for Canelo, in his usual straight forward fashion, he made it clear that no easy button had been pushed in his decision to fight Khan, but rather the opposite, considering Khan’s reputation and resume.  “When you are inside the ring, nobody has an advantage,” stated Alvarez politely, continuing: “I’m always going to be criticized and that doesn’t bother me.  I have to be ready, I have to get ready for whatever (Khan) brings and that’s what I’m focusing on.”

To the delicate question of focus, Golden Boy’s ultra bright spotlight on Canelo vs. Khan as the biggest anticipated fight of 2016, continues not to be strong enough to obliterate 2017’s gorilla in the shadows, self dubbed “Mexican Style” supernova middleweight Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs) the “Good Boy” hailing from Kazakstan and training in Southern California.  Fight fans have long been clamoring for a do or die matchup between Canelo and GGG as the two brightest and most bruising stars in the increasingly thinning top boxing middleweight stratosphere.  Golovkin has his own fight to win before May 7th versus Dominic Wade (18-0, 12KOs), on April 23, 2016 at the Forum in Los Angeles, but smart money says GGG will likely defeat Wade, finally clearing the path towards the long awaited showdown between GGG and the winner of Canelo vs. Khan.  In any event, barring some crazy upset, Kazakstan will likely be in the house come May right along with Mexico’s finest and the best Muslim fighter the UK has to offer come T-Mobile fight night.  Win or lose, it should be a dream come true for Donald Trump, Oscar De La Hoya, boxing fans, and anyone worldwide who loves to see a good middleweight showdown American style.

Saul ” Canelo” Alvarez vs. Amir “King” Khan will be broadcast live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on HBO PPV on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 9:00pm ET/ 6:00pm PT.

Mos Def Re-Enters Court With Scarf After Being Forced To Remove Turban; Facing More Litigation In Late March

(AllHipHop News) Just when you thought that racism and prejudice primarily existed in the United States, we learned today that South Africa is still up to its dirty tricks that we thought ended with apartheid in the mid 1990’s.

In an act of blatant disrespect, today a judge forced former rapper and actor Yasiin Bey to remove a religious garment from his head prior the day’s court proceedings.

Despite the prejudiced act by South African courts, Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) returned to court with a scarf on his head in order to still observe his personal religious beliefs.

While it’s believed Mr. Bey practices Islam, turban-wearing traditions can be found in the Indian Subcontinent, Afghanistan, South Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, North Africa, the Horn of Africa, the Sahel, and parts of the Swahili Coast which encompass many different religions.

The former Black Star rapper has a new court date set in a case that stems from overextending his stay with an expired visa and “aiding and abetting” his family members to overstay their welcome in South Africa where Yasiin Bey has been living since 2013.

“I am currently in Cape Town South Africa and I am being prevented from leaving unjustly, unlawfully and without any logical reason,” Yasiin Bey said in statement back in January on Kanye West’s website.

In addition to aiding and abetting his family to stay illegally in South Africa” Yasiin Bey is charged with trying to use a “world passport” to exit the country on a flight to Ethiopia.

Currently the Brooklyn bred rapper born, Dante Terrell Smith, is out on what amounts to a $300 bail and has a new court date set for March 24th.

More news as details emerge.
