Game’s Manager Wack 100 Says Beef With Meek Being Mediated By Nipsey, Big U and Other O.G.’s

(AllHipHop News) It looks like things between rappers Game and Meek Mill could play out peacefully.

Yesterday(September 22), it was revealed that Hip-Hop mogul Russell Simmons stepped in to try and squash the beef, in hopes of quelling any possible violence related to the superstar rappers’ escalating feud.

Game claims that Meek Mill was the one who implicated him in a June robbery at an L.A. club, where R&B singer Sean Kingston relieved of $300,000 worth of jewelry.

At first, Game’s manager Wack 100 bluntly told Russell Simmons to stay out of their beef.

But last night, Wack 100 revealed that thanks to several Hip-Hop legends, he was in direct contact with Meek Mill in an attempt to mediate issues with Game.

Nipsey Hussle and music industry management veteran Big U, who has worked with Snoop Dogg, Nipsey and even Sean Kingston, is offering assistance, along with legendary New York DJ Kay Slay.

“@NipseyHussle, @BigU1 and the real @TherealDJKaySlay have been mediating conversations between myself and Meek Mill and all signs are pointing to letting the fire burn out whenever it burns out,” Wack 100 said.

Wack also softened his stance on Russell Simmons’s involvement in the beef a bit, although he made it clear the situation was far from over.

“What will happen is this we will respect the opinion of @unclrush but we will only allow the powers that be in this jungle to be in the politics of what is to be.”

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Game had recorded a video in New York City for his song “Pest Control” dissing Meek Mill.

Also, last night, Game was in Meek’s hometown of Philadelphia, where the West Coast rapper stopped to grab a cheesesteak from Geno’s, on his way to a show in Reading, Pennsylvania.

He eventually left Howard to begin his career in the music business.

“A million dollars to anybody that can’t pay their financial aid,” Diddy told Howard President Wayne A.I. Frederick and the crowd at the Verizon Center.

Rappers Comment On Manslaughter Charges For Tulsa Officer Responsible For Murder Of Unarmed Black Man

(AllHipHop News) Tulsa officer Betty Shelby will now face charges of first-degree manslaughter after her indictment following her fatal shooting of unarmed black man Terrence Crutcher.

According to The Washington Post, the news comes six days after Shelby murdered Crutcher beside his SUV, seconds after the victim was captured on video walking away from the officer with his hands raised.

“The tragic circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Crutcher are on the hearts and minds of many people in this community,” stated Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler, who announced the news at a recent conference.

Kunzweiler continued: “It’s important to note that despite the heightened tensions felt by all, which seemingly beg for an emotional response and reaction, our community has consistently demonstrated the willingness to respect the judicial process.”

Shelby stated that Crutcher attempted to reach into the window of his SUV prompting the shooting, but it was later revealed that the man was not in possession of a firearm.

Footage also shows the officers waiting for more than two and a half minutes before approaching Crutcher’s dying body as he laid in the street.

If convicted on the first-degree manslaughter charges, Shelby could face a minimum of four years in prison.

Many of those in Hip Hop feel that a murder charge was fitting for the crime committed. Check out the posts below.

T.I. Releases ‘Us Or Else’ EP Featuring Meek Mill & Killer Mike On Tidal

(AllHipHop News) Over the last several weeks, Tip “T.I.” Harris has released new music focused on addressing police brutality and racial inequality.

The politically charged tracks “We Will Not” and “Warzone” were just precursors to the Grand Hustle front man’s latest body of work titled Us or Else.

With guest appearances by Meek Mill and Killer Mike, Tip’s latest EP is described as a musical social justice statement piece.

The Grammy-winning Hip Hop star wrote the songs for Us or Else after the repeated deaths of unarmed African-American citizens at the hands of police officers.

T.I.’s Us or Else premieres via the Tidal entertainment platform. The “King Of The South” is also scheduled to take part in the TIDAL X: 1015 charity concert in Brooklyn next month.

Stream Us or Else below.

T.I. Calls Shawty Lo An ATL Legend!

ATL rapper T.I. took time out to pay homage and his respect to the late fellow ATL rapper Shawty Lo following the rapper’s untimely death yesterday.

Tip posted a photo of the two together on his Instagram page and referred to Shawty Lo as an ATL Legend!

“Damn!!! I just woke up to some Bullsh*t News…RIP to a true Westside Atlanta Legend!!!!! You truly represented Bankhead to the fullest!!! My Heart goes out to his family, and his children as well. Even through our toughest times I must admit I was impressed,& kinda proud of how well you rep’d our hood, and how much you cared for it. It was a real relief to have someone else helping to lift Bankhead up & hold it there,” said T.I.

Both Tip & Shawty Lo hail from that “Westside, Bankhead” as Young Dro would say.

Their previous beef even spilled into their tracks “Dunn Dunn” and “What’s Up, What’s Haapnin.”

Although they once had their differences over who really ran/was from Bankhead, it is nice to see T.I. pay his respects.

T.I. has said that their feud was unnecessary, but it did result in some great music. The ATLiens were able to squash it and even perform together.

Interestingly enough, there have been people accusing Tip of showing fake love lately, as they claim Shawty Lo did an interview right before his death claiming that T.I. was still trying to blacklist him from the industry.

Rip Shawty L-O!

Gucci Mane Talks Weight Loss, Giving Up Drugs & Selling Young Thug’s Record Contract (VIDEOS)

(AllHipHop News) Gucci Mane has not done very many interviews since his release from federal prison, but the Trap God sat down with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex for a one-on-one about losing weight, growing as a person, and his relationships with other artists.

According to Gucci, it was his practice of running up and down steps while locked up that led to his 80-pound weight loss.

The “1st Day Out Tha Feds” rhymer claimed he was able to “eat like the Mafia” because “money makes them shake.”

As he was serving his time, Gucci chose not to focus on what was taking place outside of those USP Terre Haute walls.

“My whole thing was to stay on point in here. Stay focused on here. Learn something from this,” the Atlanta native stated. “I just totally cut out the outside world and just focused on my family and me getting better.”

He continued, “I learned I don’t have the privilege to make another mistake or to blame or [make excuses]. I can’t say it was drugs. I know my vices now. I know if I do this, where it’s going to end up.”

Gucci was adamant that he is no longer using narcotics or alcohol. The Brick Squad boss explained why he is trying to live a clean life.

“I don’t do anything. Nothing. Absolutely nothing,” said Gucci. “It’s just like I don’t even want it no more because I associated it with jail. And I don’t want to go back to jail. I ain’t gonna front. I don’t want to go to prison.”

The 36-year-old added, “I had been to jail so many times, but prison was a whole different experience… It made me say, ‘Hey listen, I don’t want to come back here. Ever. I’ll change my whole life not to come back here.'”

In addition, Gucci also revealed he sold Young Thug’s record contract to Todd Moscowitz at 300 Entertainment to ensure his protegé got the best business situation. Thugger showed up on Gucci’s “Guwop Home” off Everybody Looking.

However, Nicki Minaj and Waka Flocka – other rap stars connected to Brick Squad early in their careers – have not spoken to Gucci in over a year.

Old Tupac With New Guwop: Are Gucci Mane & The Game Recording New Music Together?

Amid a week of controversy with Meek Mill, The Game found time to show his support for the one and only Gucci Mane!

The Game posted a photo on Instagram alongside Gucci, referring to himself as the old Tupac paired with the new Guwop!

Earlier this month, Gucci revealed that he had some big features coming up with artists such as Lil Wayne and E-40.

We wonder has Gucci been cooking up anything with The Game especially with his ‘Woptober’ album on the way.

It’s good to see that The Game & Gucci were able to put aside their past differences.

Chris Brown Takes A Shot At His Accuser Baylee Curran

Chris Brown hasn’t been shy about speaking out against his accuser, Baylee Curran’s claims that he pointed a gun at the former beauty queen during a confrontation at his Los Angeles home.

Breezy is certainly one of the Kings of Petty, so he took to Instagram to take a fashionable shot at Curran with his new Black Pyramid shirts.

Chris shows himself wearing a shirt that disses Curan while the ridiculous case against him is still pending.

The investigation is still going on, but Brown has continued to speak out about his innocence while Curran did her press run.

While Chris Brown was set to appear in court this week for a potential arraignment in response to Curran’s allegations, no charges have been filed against Brown about the assault case.

Brown hopped on the ‘gram posting a photo of himself rocking a t-shirt from his clothing label, Black Pyramid, with a message that seems to be aimed at Baylee Curran’s assault accusations.

“@blackpyramidofficial #stayclassy,” said Brown.

The shirt also displays the words: “THIS B**** LYIN’.”

Breezy and his humor!

Fans Sue Irving Plaza Concert Venue Over Deadly Shooting Involving Troy Ave

(AllHipHop News) Two T.I. fans caught up in the chaos following a shooting at the rapper’s May (16) gig in New York City are suing the venue’s bosses for injuries they sustained.

Gunshots rang out in a dressing room area before T.I. hit the stage, causing a panic as concert-goers raced to flee the Irving Plaza.

Four people were hit by bullets, one man was killed and now two fans, who were not shot, have filed suit against the show’s promoter and venue bosses, claiming they were seriously injured in the melee.

They claim the venue’s security staff didn’t adequately screen people entering the concert, allowing at least two men to bring guns into the concert space.

The plaintiffs’ attorney, Vincent Provenzano, tells TMZ his clients were trampled in the chaos as people rushed for the exits as the gunshots rang out.

Dave East: If You Don’t Write Your Lyrics, You Can’t Be Top 5 (VIDEO/POLL)

(AllHipHop News) Kid Cudi once again brought up the conversation of rappers using other people to write their rhymes in his now infamous Twitter rant which called out Kanye West and Drake.

“Everyone thinks they’re soooo great. Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them,” posted Cudi. He added, “My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These n-ggas don’t give a f-ck about me. And they ain’t f-ckin with me.”

While at the BET Hip Hop Awards, Harlem emcee Dave East was questioned about Cudi’s comments. Tracy G of Sway In The Morning asked the 2016 XXL Freshman class member for his thoughts on the subject of rappers using a lot of co-writers.

“I’m sure you saw Cudi on Twitter. He had some grievances he wanted to air out. He said, ‘You can’t be top five if you got like 30 writers for you,'” said Tracy.

“That’s true,” replied East.

The signee of Nas’ Mass Appeal Records continued, “I feel like a lyricist is somebody that writes their own lyrics. Songwriters and lyricists is two totally different things… I feel like you can’t really be a lyricist if you didn’t write your lyrics. It’s no passion. It’s nothing in it coming from you. It’s somebody else’s feelings, and you’re just taking it and running with it.”

Dave East was also sure to declare, “I write all my own music. Everything.”

Do you agree with Kid Cudi and Dave East? Can someone be considered a Top 5 rapper if they have a lot of co-writers? Take our poll below.

“It’s definitely far from done. It’s something that gets brought up in conversation every once in a while,” said Chance. “The Good Ass Job, that’s something that’s just been a dream for me.”

Kanye teased his next album after Graduation would be called Good Ass Job. Instead, the G.O.O.D. Music leader decided to release 808s & HeartbreakMy Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Watch The ThroneYeezus, and The Life Of Pablo.

“All of those things are albums that shaped my life, but I cannot wait to just bunker down,” added Chance. “We definitely have at least two songs I could say I know would be on Good Ass Job, but to be back in the bunker and be at the spot and have that time to just sit and make stuff every day is my dream.”

Kanye’s The Life Of Pablo included contributions from Chance. Ye then returned the favor by appearing on Chano’s Coloring Book.
