Well, lets get the first thing out of the way. We cannot name names at this time, but this is a massive development from what we are hearing. We are getting word that two veteran megastars in Hip-Hop are working on a major song in honor of Trayvon. Now, the real part is that these two are to of the most respected in the game. The are the perfect ones to make the proper connection to all the other big name rappers (and even some singers) to get a “We Are The World” type of song for Trayvon and the others that have been victim of racism and abuses of “authority.”
Sorry, we cannot offer more details at this time, but things are at an early stage right now. Click here for all of our coverage and opinions on Trayvon and others like him. Stay tuned. Hopefully we’ll have more to offer in a bit.
(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop star Kanye West is the subject of a lawsuit over an illegal sample contained on a 2006 mixtape.
Robert Poindexter filed a lawsuit against Kanye West in the United States District Court of Southern New York, on March 27.
Kanye is being sued over the song “Girls Girls Girls (Remix)” on the mixtape “Freshmen Adjustment 2.”
Robert Poindexter claims that Kanye’s track contains an illegal sample of the song “Trying Girls Out” by R&B group The Persuaders.
The lawsuit claims that Kanye knew the sample was not cleared, because he used a cleared version of the sample on “Girls Girls Girls” on Jay-Z’s 2001 album The Blueprint.
“I have offered to resolve this matter out of court with Kanye West,” Robert Poindexter said. “But in response, he has refused to even discuss any ‘out-of-court’ resolutions whatsoever. Nor has he provided any evidence that he is demanding others to cease and desist from selling the illegal version.”
Robert Poindexter achieved fame with The Persuaders by singing the 1971 hit song “Thin Line Between Love and Hate.”
Robert Poindexter seeks $500,000 in damages from Kanye West.
Check out copies of the lawsuit below:
Nicki Minaj performed her new single “Starships” on “American Idol” last night, and after her performance, she let the world know that she wants to be a judge on the show. Check out what she said below:
“…the album comes out next Tuesday, and you know I was hoping maybe I could come back and be a guest judge. J-Lo, can you scoot over a little bit?”
Jennifer Lopez was not feeling Nicki coming for her spot and yelled out “No! No!” before blurting out, “I don’t know if there’s enough room for both of us!” BURN!
Sorry, Nicki, maybe you can try “X-Factor” instead. We hear they’re looking for a judge. Anyway, check out Nicki performing on “American Idol” HERE.
Is it just me, or is this 3D and this IMAX stuff getting doper and doper? How good can they actually make the animation? After watching Wrath of the Titans, a new sure-to-be summer box office hit, that was one of the first questions I had leaving the theater. Really, though, just think about how not so long ago, our parents and grandparents were looking at black and white screens, some of them remember not even having TV! That ish cray.
Another thing about Wrath of the Titans, is that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to brush up on your Greek Mythology before this one, because there are all types of Greek gods and goddesses poppin’ out the woodwork in this flick, and you’ll want to keep up with who they are. Attacking crazy, three-headed wildebeast looking monsters and cray-ish like that. Who knows what the animation guys were on when they made this movie? For that matter, what was I on when I saw it? Explosions and rocks and all types of stuff seemed to be flying right for me, as I found myself bobbing and weaving in my seat throughout the movie.
Featuring Avatar’s Sam Worthington as Perseus, and Liam Neeson as Zeus, the Wrath of the Titans follows up Clash of the Titans a decade after Perseus has defeated the Kraken. Taking care of his son Helius and attempting to avoid the looming struggle for supremacy between the Gods and the Titans, Perseus eventually must come to the aid of his father (Zeus) who has been captured by his own father Kronos, who is the father of Hades(Ralph Fiennes), and Poseidon (Danny Huston), too!! I was lost for a sec, and you probably will be, too. But just stick with it; the effects are worth it.
Nevertheless, Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades and Ares (Édgar Ramírez) make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’s remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth. Enlisting the help of the warrior QueenAndromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s demigod son Agenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind. And that’s just the beginning of the movie. LOL.
Rating: 7/10
Truth is…It’s cool for the special effects if you want to get trippy, but at times, the plot is little cornballish and hard to follow. The comedy was a pleasant surprise at times and was a nice boost for the movie when the plot got confusing with all the mythology involved. Good pre-summer movie, though, and you could def take the kids. They will get a kick out the explosions and more…
(AllHipHop News) Six months after signing with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, Ohio’s Stalley finally has released his highly anticipated project, Savage Journey to the American Dream.
With longtime Jay-Z engineer DJ Young Guru behind the boards mixing the 14-track project, Stalley acquired the talents of Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill, Curren$y, Avriel Epps, and Anthony Flammia to lend production from The Block Beattas, Soundtrakk, Chuck Inglish, and Chad Hugo of the Neptunes.
“It’s the most album-sounding project for me as far as the music goes,” said Stalley of the project. “[People] are going to see the growth lyrically, musically, production-wise. There are definitely some surprises on there. But it’s still Stalley, it’s still that Intelligent Trunk Muzik vibe to it.”
Following up his critically acclaimed Lincoln Way Nights album in 2011, Stalley has been steady at work releasing songs from his Songs by Me, Stalley series to preface the release.
“The ‘American Dream’ is something I’m still struggling to define,” Stalley said of his inspiration behind the mixtape title. “When I was younger, my dream was to be a professional basketball player as a way out of a small town. You hear stories about people leaving their town to follow their dreams and ‘make it.’ I wanted to make it. But for me, personally, my dreams shifted because injuries prevented me from becoming the athlete I wanted to be. Now my goals are totally different. I’m still in pursuit of the American Dream, and one day I’ll define it.”
Artwork for the project was designed by artist Patrick Martinez who used his signature neon works to symbolize the twisted and broken roads on the long journey towards the elusive “American Dream.”
Tomorrow night (March 31), Stalley will be performing at Blue Cloud in Dallas, Texas, and will follow up with an after party at Beamers.

If Drake has it his way, he will team up with Rihanna for a joint album. The two have worked together on a few tracks and Drake has been actively pursuing her for the collabo. Check out what he said below about it:
”I mean anytime she wants to work I’m there, you know,” Drake divulged. “I’ve always urged her to let me come and really work on an album for her, with her.”I’ve got some great ideas so, you know, hopefully when the time is right she’ll send me that text or call me up and say, ‘Hey let’s get in the studio for a month and make an album’, and we can do it.”
During the interview, Drake also revealed that the song “R.I.P.” that he wrote for Rita Ora was originally for Rihanna:
“I feel like I could do some great writing for her,” he added. “Actually the Rita Ora song that’s out right now was originally for Rihanna.”
Hmmm, so the rumors that Jay-Z pulled that song from Rihanna for Rita Ora are true. Source says that’s where the beef between Rita and Rihanna began. Rihanna better move fast before Drake changes his mind and does a collabo album with Rita!
If you think we are living in a post-racial America compliments of Barack Obama and Hip-Hop, think again!
Presidential candidate Rick S####### is out there trying to run the country and guess what…dude called Obama a ni**er! Now, this sounds crazy to people and many won’t believe it – until they see the video.
With that, it is time to let you see the video and decide. It is very clear that he’s saying the N-word and comes just short of saying it all the way… Peep the video….
And then tell us what you think.
Trayvon Martin is just the beginning. Time to get these clowns, round them up and expose them!
If presidential candidates are acting like this, what is the rest of the nation saying!?
Birdman sat down for a recent interview and revealed that once Rick Ross’s record deal is done with Def Jam, he plans to swoop in and sign him to Cash Money. Ditto goes for Game once his Interscope deal is done. Check out what Birdman said about it below:
“Ross signed to Def Jam and you know Ross is a close friend of mine. But if the time ever came, we gonna G up and make it happen,” Birdman explained. “Right now he signed to Def Jam, but when the time do come, I’m gonna be right there waiting…”
“I know that I told Game, if the time come I would love to sign Game. I think he’s a very talented artist. But right now he’s signed with Interscope, maybe he’s got another album. But when time comes, I’m gonna be there for him too.”
Birdman also shared that he was impressed with what Ross is doing over at Maybach Music Group, but wasn’t as enthusiastic with his words when it came to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music.
“They’re doing what they’re doing too. But I think Khaled and Rozay are doing a little more,” said Birdman. “They’re a little more active with their acts. I ain’t talking about them as a brand, but their acts. You got Kanye doing him, but what acts do they have that are active and doing a lot? I’m looking at how much your team is doing.”
Were those shots? Anyway, how crazy would Cash Money be if they signed Ross and The Game? They’re already a powerhouse in music, but those acquisitions would really take them over the top.
