(AllHipHop News) San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick ignited a national discussion when he made the decision to not stand during the playing of the national anthem in protest against racism and police brutality in America.
Several other athletes joined Kaepernick’s form of protesting by kneeling or raising a fist as “The Star-Spangled Banner” played before sporting events.
In addition, R&B singer Chris Brown was seen sitting as Tank sang the anthem during the Power 106 celebrity basketball game in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Tank asked the crowd to sing along in honor of the people that died in the September 11 attacks as CB and others chose to remain seated.
Brown responded to news reports about not standing during the national anthem in an Instagram post that features a caption which simply reads, “Stay classy!”
