Fans of the Notorious B.I.G. in NYC will be given a chance to participate in Notorious, the upcoming biopic about the Brooklyn rapper’s life.
On April 24th and 25th, the film’s creators, working with California-based company Be In A Movie, will recreate a concert scene to be used in flick, giving fans the opportunity to be in the crowd.
The scene in question is a 1994 concert during which Biggie, played by Brooklyn rapper Jamal “Gravy” Woolard, is presented with his first Gold plaque.
B.I.G. received the award in November of that year for “Juicy,” the lead single from the rapper’s classic 1994 debut, Ready To Die.
The scene will also feature Angela Bassett and Derek Luke in the roles of Ms. Voletta Wallace and Sean “Diddy” Combs respectively.
The concert footage will be shot at an undisclosed Midtown Manhattan location on Thursday and Friday between 11:30 am and 7:30 pm.
Those wishing to participate must be between the ages of 16-35, and must pre-register by visiting http://www.beinamovie.com/movie.php?mtitleid=69.
Once registered, participants will receive all of the details about the location and the taping process. The event’s organizers will also be raffling off a walk-on part in Notorious.
Be In A Movie has provided crowds for scenes in over 25 major motion pictures, including Akeelah and the Bee, The Bodyguard, Semi-Pro and their first production, The Doors.
