(AllHipHop News) MTV announced today that Atlanta hip hop icon Future will perform at the VMAs for the first time in the 2016 edition of the awards show.
The announcement was made via a custom created video by Tom Gould, which will also be featured in MTV’s “Canvas” campaign.
In the brief video, Future gives a little insight into his creative process stating, “Its about mastering tone for me, its about mastering the melody, its about mastering the style.”
Future is set to grace the VMA stage with his distinct creative flair for the first time along with previously announced performers, Britney Spears featuring G-Eazy, Nick Jonas featuring Ty Dolla $ign, and Video Vanguard recipient Rihanna.
The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday, August 28 at 9 p.m. EST.
