The man convicted of shooting at Lil Wayne’s tour bus has been sentenced to 20 years in jail.
Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, 25, pleaded guilty on Friday to shooting at two of Wayne’s tour buses while they traveled on Interstate 295 in April.
Winfrey, known as Peewee Roscoe, was found guilty on six charges, he must serve 10 years in prison and another 10 on probation for his crimes.
The man shot at the buses, which held about a dozen people, on April 26 at roughly 3 a.m. Nobody was hurt.
Winfrey allegedly acted to gain “street red” with Cash Money CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Young Thug. Birdman denied involvement.
Winfrey once worked with Young Thug and appeared in a Thug video with the gun that was apparently used in the shooting.
