As his song “Krispy,” continues to gain momentum, rapper Kinfolk Kia Shine is planning his next step towards achieving universal success.
“Krispy,” the first single from Shine’s major record label debut Due Season, is currently in frequent rotation radio outlets.
Aside from music, the Rap Hustlaz co-CEO is gearing up to take full advantage his success with a new sneaker line.
The shoes, which Shine calls “Traffic Jams,” are part of a bigger plan by the Memphis rapper to change people’s perception of his beloved hometown.
“I feel like I’m trying to take my shoes and my clothes to the next level,” Kia Shine told AllHipHop.com. “I think right know I am on a mission to show people there is something different out of Memphis and that is not like [the critically-acclaimed film] Hustle and Flow. The shoes are swaggerful and crispy. It’s different.”
While music may currently occupy Shine’s time, the rapper admits he has other things in mind, mainly acting.
“I want to do the acting thing, but right now I am going to concentrate on breaking myself as an artist and then breaking in my team,” Shine continued. “Eventually I want to cross market with the shoes and the movies. I don’t want to let everything out, but it is going to be a lot of surprises.”
Due Season is in stores now.
