A man who claims he worked with Sir Mix-A-Lot on “Baby Got Back” has lost a court battle after trying to receive royalties from “Anaconda,” according to theJasmineBRAND.com.
David Ford claims that he collaborated with Sir Mix-A-Lot on a number of tracks, including the Grammy-winning 1992 hit “Baby Got Back.” Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” samples the track and Ford went to court to try to get a portion of the royalties from the song since it pulls from a song he allegedly worked on.

Sir Mix-A-Lot claims that there were never any agreements signed between him and Ford. Ford alleged that he had no idea that he was not listed on the copyrights for the songs he allegedly contributed to, but the judge wasn’t buying it. .
The judge ruled in Mix-A-Lot’s favor and threw the case out.
