Turk Reportedly Settles Lawsuit With Cash Money Records

THE TWO SIDES COME TO AN AGREEMENT

(AllHipHop News) Cash Money Records and Money Mack have reportedly settled a lawsuit with former artist Turk. The Advocate reports the two sides came to an out-of-court agreement which led to Turk asking his suit be dismissed. A judge granted Turk’s dismissal request on June 30.

Complete terms of the settlement have not been released, but both sides agreed to pay their own legal costs and fees. Turk was originally seeking $1.3 million for unpaid royalty and publishing payments.

Turk won a default motion against the label in May. He later subpoenaed Cash Money’s parent company Universal Music Group and its publishing wing Universal Music Publishing Group.

Now that the case is behind him, Turk can put his full attention back into his music career. The New Orleans native is set to join fellow Hot Boys members Lil Wayne and Juvenile at the “Lil Weezyana Fest” in August. The head of YNT Empire also recently released the new track “I Remember” featuring Sy Ari Da Kidd.
