The Vince Staples Show premiered on Netflix on February 15. The five-episode series received positive reviews from professional critics and television viewers.
Fans want to know if Vince Staples’s new dramedy will return for season two on the global streaming platform. The California-based recording artist/actor addressed that question with a social media post.
“Where’s season 2 bro?” an X user asked Staples on Monday (March 4). The Ramona Park Broke My Heart album creator responded, “As of now, it doesn’t exist but we have to convince @netflix that this is what the streets need. Click that double thumbs up.”
In addition to serving as an executive producer, Staples stars in the lead role of his eponymous program. Kenya Barris (Black-ish, BlackAF, Entergalactic) earned executive producer credit for the show as well.
The cast of The Vince Staples Show also features Vanessa Bell Calloway, Andrea Ellsworth, Naté Jones, Arturo Castro, Scott MacArthur, Bryan Greenberg and Myles Bullock. Ian Edelman is the showrunner.
“I am excited to partner with Netflix and Kenya Barris on The Vince Staples Show,” Staples stated in 2022. “This has been something I have been developing for some time and I am happy it’s coming to fruition.”
