When Jimmy Fallon and Will Smith team up, they always dig into hip-hop’s past for fun. Last time the two were together they gave a crash course on the “Evolution of Hip-Hop Dancing,” and now they are bringing an 80’s favorite back to life.
During Smith’s recent visit to the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the rapper-turned-actor channeled his inner Fresh Prince and recreated Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock’s 1988 smash hit “It Takes Two.” With the help of the iPad app Looper, Fallon and Smith recorded and looped themselves beatboxing and added sounds as they went a long. They then broke out into a performance of the song and The Roots chimed in with their live instrumentation.
