Chance told Rolling Stone that he recently participated in recording sessions for the second season of Adult Swim’s Black Dynamite where he provided the voice for international icon Bob Marley.
“I had to go in the studio yesterday at Soundscape and record from the script and do the reading. I had to play Bob Marley,” reveals Chance. “I can’t wait until the voiceover people that are professionals hear this and laugh at me, like, ‘Oh, this guy’s such an amateur!'”
Black Dynamite is an animated action-comedy inspired by the 2009 blaxploitation parody film of the same name. The show stars series regulars Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley, and Byron Minns. The program’s first season featured guest appearances by Snoop Dogg, Eddie Griffin, J. B. Smoove, Aries Spears, Charlie Murphy, and more.
During the RS Q&A Chance also comments on his decision to not sign with a major label. “There’s no reason to. It’s a dead industry,” said Chance.
Black Dynamite is set to return to Adult Swim in 2014.

(AllHipHop News) Since the founding of Hip Hop, artists, fans, and the media have debated about which rapper is wearing the crown at that particular moment with everyone having their own criteria for determining the best in the game.
The outspoken Joe Budden took to Twitter recently to give his insight into what he feels should be the final judgement on who is sitting in the throne. According to Budden, the simple question that has to be answered is- Does the rapper have quotable lyrics?
Budden will provide the opportunity for Hip Hop fans to possibly quote some of his lyrics after the New Jersey native’s BET Hip Hop Awards cypher with fellow Slaughterhouse members airs on October 15th.
The Mood Muzik emcee also announced in August that he will be dropping the Some Love Lost EP and All Love Lost LP in the near future.

(AllHipHop News) Mary J Blige and Steve Stoute can almost see the light at the end of her debt tunnel. According to TMZ, The Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now, Inc. has paid off $200,000 of their $322,000 bank debt with TD Bank.
The foundation was sued last year after defaulting on a $250,000 loan and according to TMZ, asserted that the bank should have been aware of the foundation’s financial troubles. The foundation took the loan out in June of 2011 and promised to pay back the money in six months. However, had only paid back a reported $368.33 by February of 2013, 14 months after they promised to pay the money back.
This is not the only debt that looms over Mary J Blige’s head. The legendary R&B singer was sued by Bank of America earlier this year for defaulting on a $500,000 loan and by Signature Bank for allegedly defaulting on a $2.2 million loan with her husband Martin Issacs last November.
(AllHipHop News) Dame Dash’s son has been working on etching his own name in the music business but may have tarnished that image before it began. According to The New York Post, Dame Dash Jr was arrested this past Tuesday (September 25th) on allegations of him strangling his girlfriend.
A source told The New York Post detailed the physical confrontation:
She was visiting him at his apartment, he got violent with her, starts to punch her, slap her and shove her onto the bed, got on top of her, he grabs her by the throat and chokes her
The suit alleges the victim, whose name was not released, suffered a black eye, cut lip and red lacerations on her neck. A law enforcement source informed The Post that the physical altercation resulted from “an apparent dispute over sex.”
Dash Jr appeared at his arraignment on Wednesday (September 26th) and signed an order of protection banning him from coming close to the alleged victim.
“Questioning your reverend like, ‘who gon check him?'”-Rikki Blu
Rikki Blu is back with a cinematic visual for his thought provoking collaboration with Nashville’s Casino Greene, “Mind Control”. The two MCs trade lyrics about overcoming internal conflicts with a world full of expectations and societal norms.

It’s understandable that some people get nervous when it comes to public speaking but if you’re going to be a spoken word artist or a rapper then you should probably test yourself out before choking on TV. Enter Marshall Pope, who failed miserably during what appears to be an interview on a public access TV show. Make sure to watch until he actually performs, or lack thereof.
The most recent word on the street is that Kris Jenner split with hubby Bruce Jenner and that she’s now dating Drake. I reached out to some sources who say this isn’t true. Drake can be a serial monogamist and he does have a thing for older women but it’s not Kris Jenner. People saw them in a photo together and saw a tweet exchange and jumped the gun. He performed at Kylie Jenner’s Sweet 16 and does have a relationship with the Kardashian/Jenner crew but it’s not that deep.
I mean, I wouldn’t put it past Kris Jenner to get down with the cougar get down but not with Drizzy. He’s probably busy with some video model somewhere in Hawaii or something.
