Ghostface and Raekwon made some incredible Hip-Hop revelations last night. They are presently working on Cuban Linx 3, a completely new audio installment in their 25-plus year career.
Ghostface made the announcement during the highly anticipated Verzuz battle Saturday night, where he faced off with his fellow Wu-Tang Clan brother.
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, the original classic album, was the debut album by Raekwon. The album was released on August 1, 1995, on Loud Records. While it is technically a solo album, Ghostface Killah is heavily featured on it.
Only Built 4 Cuban Linx I came in September of 2009, marking the fourth album for Rae by way of Ice H2O/EMI Records.
The duo did not give a specific date on the release, only that it would drop this year.
“We got five albums coming this year,” Ghost said. “We got Cuban Linx 3. Me and Rae been cheffin’ together. We ain’t playing with that. We gonna close the chapter on that s### right there. I’m gonna drop like three in the summer time. I don’t give a f**k. That’s how we doing it now.”
Ghostface also said that he would be dropping Supreme Clientele II in February of 2022. The original Supreme Clientele was released on February 8, 2000.
During the Verzuz, both men played new songs, one of which was a Griselda Records collaboration.
Ghostface also said he had a “hard liquor” coming in May.
