(AllHipHop News) Decatur, Georgia, rap group Travis Porter is making no mystery as to who its upcoming debut album will be geared toward.
According to the trio, From Day 1 is for the fans – nothing more and nothing less.
“This album is for our fans who have been down with us ‘From Day 1,’” Travis Porter told Billboard.com as the collective acknowledged the people who waited patiently while they struggled with label issues after signing with the now-defunct Jive Records in 2010. “They watched us over the past four years come up out of Decatur, Georgia.”
The arrival of From Day 1 comes amid the success of the collective’s hit single “Ayy Ladies” which features Young Money rhymesayer Tyga. In addition to Tyga, the album will feature production from Diplo. In the eyes of Travis Porter member Donquez “Quez” Woods, fans can expect to hear signs of growth on From Day 1.
“This album is going to show a lot of growth, we got some big features and some of the best producers in the world,” the rapper shared. “We made like three or four tracks with Diplo… He has got some crazy beats. We came up with some dope *ss records. We just did them, so two will be on the album.”
Travis Porter’s From Day 1, featuring the songs “Make It Rain”, “Bring It Back”, and “Ayy Ladies,” will hit stores on May 29.
