Donald Sterling Refutes Alzheimer's Disease Claims, Suing The NBA For $1 Billion

(AllHipHop News) Donald Sterling wants the world to know two things: 1. he does not have Alzheimer’s disease and 2. He is not going anywehere. Earlier today, reports surfaced that Donald Sterling and his legal team are planning on suing the NBA for $1 billion.

Shelly Sterling became the sole trustee of the family trust that owned the Los Angeles Clippers after two neurologists deemed Donald Sterling mentally unfit to be a trustee by the family trust’s standards. As the sole trustee, Mrs. Sterling sold the Los Angeles Clippers to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. Yahoo! Sports’ writer Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Sterling’s lawyer, Max Blecker, has confirmed that the former Clippers owner plans to sue the NBA:

According to TMZ, the neurologists’ results found that not only had Sterling suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, but has had the disease for the past five years. Blecker dismissed the medical reports as”grossly exaggerated” in an email to ESPN, but did admit to CNN that the reports revealed “modest mental impairment.”

Following the sale, one of Sterling’s other attorneys informed The Los Angeles Times that “there can be no sale without Donald’s signature.”

He’s just going to milk this out as much as possible, but what’s unfortunate is that behind the articles/cameras they’ll probably come to a settlement and agreement to keep both ends quiet with an impressive amount of cash on table.

    • The ‘chet really is a good look!

15Mil onto 2 Bil & a chance at another deal?

You’re on point tho, I can’t hate and in any sane mind $3 billion sounds 1 billion times better than $2 billion.

Part of me doubts that Sterling has Alzheimer’s. The timing of all this is a little too convenient. Usually, the sale of a sports team takes a minute. This one literally took a minute. And then Sterling isn’t mentally capable to do the deal himself. All this happens days before he was supposed to be voted out. I think this was alot of quick damage control because that vote was not gonna be 29-0. Anybody that voted in favor of Sterling would’ve been looked at, and then that would’ve opened another can of worms.

yeah, this guy is thee definition of repugnant…

at this point however, I’m more frustrated at how the media and new reporters failed to cover the larger, so to speak, story in the state of racism in America today. They twisted this into a isolated story and a story about an old ass man taking out young, idiotic women. There’s a larger narrative here and that has to do with the rungs of power in society, who controls them and who controls the money that many people of color are desperately after.

Just the other day an article broke that stated that a new study revealed that for every white dollar, black folks only got 6 cents… that’s abominable in this day in age, and that fact I’m very certain has much to do with systemic racism; and therein lay the connection to Sterling –he is a prime example of systemic racism at the top. A wealthy billlionaire who has been caught red handed, time and again blocking people of color from proper housing, pay and so forth…
