TROY AVE IS BACK ON THE STREETS

(AllHipHop News) Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave was released from a New York hospital, after surviving a shooting on Christmas day.

Troy posted footage of himself walking out of Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, surrounded by his friends and police.

“Shot in my head, shot in my back, GOD is Great Ya boi is back,” Troy Ave posted to Instagram. “From the bottom of my heart thank y’all 4 all the prayers.”

More details are starting to emerge in the incident, which left Troy with two bullet wounds.

Troy was shot in East Flatbush, Brooklyn on Christmas morning, as he sat in his red Maserati with his girlfriend.

An unknown gunman walked up to Troy and fired two shots into the vehicle.

Troy, who was hit in the head and the back.

He managed to drive about six blocks, before he and his girlfriend abandoned the car and called a friend, who eventually transported the rapper to the hospital for treatment.

Troy Ave’s lawyer told the New York Daily News that his client still has a bullet lodged in his head.

“He is very sore,” Troy Ave’s lawyer John Stella told the New York Daily News. “He is very sore,” the lawyer said. “The doctors told the family that he came dangerously close to having a spinal cord injury – but it looks like there’s no lasting damage from the wound track.”

Troy Ave is currently free on $500,000 bail, over another deadly shooting in May at a T.I. concert, at Irving Plaza.

During that altercation, Troy was engaged in a brawl backstage that escalated into gunplay.

In the end, his bodyguard Ronald McPhatter was shot in the stomach and killed, and three other people, including Troy Ave, were struck by gunfire and wounded.

Troy’s lawyer told the New York Daily News that he believed the shootings were connected.

“My guess is probably it was related,” he said. “There clearly was animosity in the green room incident, but he’s never had a long list of enemies.”
