CAM’RON IS COMING BACK!

I think we have established that Cam’Ron will return shortly. From what I heard Killa will be releasing a new mixtape called, “Where's Cam'ron?” in the next two weeks. I mean, I don’t know all of what is going to happen, but I am interested in hearing what Cameron has to say.

I don’t know if this is news or what, but somebody allegedly snapped this pic of Cam’ron at Micky D’s. The person that claims they took it lives in the Ill Commuity, but passed through McDonalds.

Here we go with Cam’ron at the Micky Deez…hey, everybody likes a Big Mac here and there. In Cam’s case….it might be a big Mac 10.

YOUNG RETIREMENT FOR JEEZY?

When I heard that Young Jeezy was about to retire, I was totally shocked and amazed. He’s got so much more to offer the rap world! Retiring? You know, reading is fundamental, people. We interviewed the man, Young Jeezy, and somebody took one line out of it and then Jeezy is about to retire. NO. He’s not retiring at all, but he is talking about the situation with Pimp C and other things that he’s looking to do now. So, click here to read the entire story.

SAIGON SAYS SORRY

Here is what he said on his blog. See below:

"For the Record

I DIDN'T go to SOB's with the intentions to start trouble with anyone...I was just leaving an AllHipHop panel that was very positive and productive..I only had 3 people with me so I didnt go to the party to start anything... I was trying my best to keep the peace as everyone can see in the video until someone put their hands on me...I would like to apologize to the staff at SOB's as well as Hot 97 for my involvement in that shit but I was not the agressor nor did I have any pre concieved plan to start trouble as I am hearing in the streets.....I honestly just wanted to see CNN perform T.O.N.Y... Peace to my homie Peter Rosenberg...Im very sorry about that whole ordeal......Never again."

ALLHIPHOP DOES NOT HATE JOE BUDDEN!

Ahhhhh…last week was a trip and the AHH concert was no different. Right before Joe Budden went on the stage, he was cracking jokes with one of AHH’s staff members. Well, the staff member did a dummy move and said, “Allhiphop hates Joe Budden.” The comment was picked up by the mic and heard by everybody! By the time the comment got back to the management of the Nokia Theater, it turned into “Joe Budden Hates AllHipHop." Before you know it, the stage managers are about to cut the sound off Joe! The situation was handled before that happened and Joe went on to perform. AllHipHop Stay Off The Mic!!!

50 CENT RUMORS: IS IS ME OR...

Did the 50 Cent rumors go from 60 to 0 after the first week was over? I mean, last week or so, those 50 Cent rumors were going insane and now there aren't hardly any out there! I kind of miss the 50 Cent rumors!  Diddy recently comments on the "I Get Money" remix.

"If it came down to a video, I would make sure the video is right," Sean "Diddy" Combs told AllHipHop.com. "The session was the way you can imagine it. It was a billion dollars in the building. It was a lot of power in there. You basically had the powerhouses of Hip-Hop all in one room and we had a ball."

Click here for the entire story!

SOULJAH BOY AND CHICAGO?

I don’t know exactly what happened, but for some reason there is a looming beef with Chicago and Souljah Boy! Online at least, the people are mad at somebody online that has said, "F**k Chicago" for no apparent reason. I personally think it is an imposter pretending to be Souljah Boy. Souljah is about having nothing, but fun! He wouldn't do that knowing you can't even twist your hat the wrong way in Chi-town. Anyway, it might be time for damage control on the net!

CHAMILLIONAIRE AND PAUL WALL?

We hear that a possible Houston song collaboration is in the works. Chamillionaire, who recently released Ultimate Victory held an album release party in Houston, where he personally invited Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Lil Keke and others to join him and perform for a crowd of eager local fans. Paul Wall couldn't make it, because he was in Boston. Still, I heard that something was sparked. The gesture by Chamillionaire to get all of Houston's finest together on stage has now reportedly sparked talks of himself, former rap partner Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Mike Jones, Lil Keke, Lil Flip, UGK, Z-Ro and Trey to all get into the studio within the next month. OH YEAH! I knew that Cham and Paul would work it out at some point. I mean, it is still too early to tell, but don’t be surprised. I just want you to give me mine when it comes true. Shout out to Paul Wall. That’s a real dude right there.

SOME CHART STUFF

Well, as expected 50 Cent and Kanye experienced a huge decrease in second week sales. Still, they came in at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively. Kanye West's Graduation moved and attitional 209,953 copies its second week in stores to push him past platinum. That was a 77% sales decrease. Curtis by Mr. Cent experienced an 80% sales decrease and sold 128,866 more copie. Chamillionaire's Ultimate Victory sold about 78,000 units and Twista's Adrenaline Rush 2007 came in at No. 13 with 38,123 sold. Note: the second two didn’t have any joint marketing scheme, but its all good. I heard all the albums are quality stuff and that’s all I really care about.

YUNG JACKED?

Did Yung Joc get jacked while he was out there in London? This is a rumor that I forgot about, but it first emerged around the time I mentioned that T-Pain/London fight. Well, I heard that on the same night, in the same club, Yung Joc’s “Hustlenomics” super-size gold chain was stolen in a melee. I heard that it was T-Pain that actually attempted to get the chain for his Soouthern comrade, but it was too late. The “H” was gone. I don’t know what somebody is going to do with a chain like that. You might as well find somebody to melt it into a gold brick, because you can’t rock it.

PLEASURE P OFF THE HOOK?

That Pleasure stuff might be off base even though several people said it was factual and actual. If you recall, there was a rumor that said Pleasure of Pretty Ricky allegedly dissed his Pretty Rickster homeys and also sent a shot out to T-Pain. A guy claiming to be the promoter of the event said that PP didn’t dis anybody, including Pretty Ricky and T-Pain. He said, “I'm the promoter who threw that Tallahassee party and nothin like that happened. You need to get your facts straight.” There are no facts in the rumor section, brother man.

KANYE IS THE NUMBER ONE HUMAN BEING IN THE WORLD

“Wendy…winning…not much difference.” I agree with him! Shout out to Wendy Williams! She’s a winner fo’ sho! LOL!

LIL ZANE’S HOMEY SPEAKS!

After my rumor, some dude emailed me. He says, Zane is going to do it!

Whats good? Yeah your boy Lil Zane is on his way to make a comeback, no doubt about it. Thats been my dude for the past year and he's as hungry as ever. He stays out here in So Cal, just got the studio put in his house, been working like a monster recording daily as well as doing shows and making appearances. Dudes got at least 25 tracks ready but is waiting for the right time and right situation. Like you always say "They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry!" So keep talking bout my boy (positively) cause shit will pop off in the next year.

Like I said, I want to hear what’s going on, before we start saying positive or negative things.

ILLSEED QUICKIES

I have been hearing about an MC Shan comeback for quite some time and I have been suspect. It appears that he might be on to something. Click here to listen to the new 2007 MC Shan.

I heard “Dancing With The Stars” dissed Hip-Hop last night. Seems like Cheetah Girl Sabrina Bryan had a lil too much “hip” in her “hop.”

Looks like that Crooked I song isn’t from Detox, it WAS a possible song in contention for the album back in the day. It’s not going to make it now that it’s leaked.

Hot Rod, G-Unit’s new guy, recently took a jab at lil’ Bow Wow in a freestyle. The question is: will Wow Bow return the heat

Bill O’Reilly might be losing his mind. There is the regular stuff and then he says Sylvia’s restaurant in Harlem is just like any other NY restaurant…read about the crazy man here.

In other stupid people news, that model chick Adrianne Curry wants to spark a mass boycott of BET and banish Black History Month for being too Black. She is gonna have to do the same for her VH1 network too, because they are Black now!

Jessica Alba Pregnant? That’s what they are saying in my ears. She’s like a semi-star, but I don’t really care if she is preggers or not.

Is there some sort of beef going on between Rocsi and 50 Cent? I am only asking a question, because I don’t want to defy executive orders on Rocsi and rumors.

Did you know that there are no gay people in Iran? Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said it and his word is law - literally.

Rapper Murda Mook has reportedly signed an indie deal with Blackface Records. Look for this CD Murda He Wrote coming later this year.

I really liked Mariah Carey’s last CD and the rumored name of the next one is Sweet Soul Odyssey. I’m ready to take that trip.

ILL PICS

Kimora Lee Simmons wasn't always fabulous! Here she is as a 14 year old, McDonald's eatin' teenager.

Here is a picture of my girl Alicia Keys on the set of “106 & Park” a day or something ago.

Read out feature on the recent Congressional Hearings with Master P, David Banner and Michael Eric Dyson. Click da pic for the story!

MC is coming back, people. R&B is generally wack, but she's dope.

TOMORROW, WE LOVE YOU!

They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry!

Awww U got 2 ov My favorite honeys on 2day, Mariah AND Ms keys!!! Owwweeee!!! I need to take A cold shower!!!

Cam need to FALL back not COME back, as Pun said 'Go thaaataway'

Yung Joc, I said it B4, how come all the rappers get yammed (jacked) in London, they need to tuck there chains

I got Kanyeezys album and 50's couple dayz ago. Been playin them constantly to figure out wot I fink. To B honest I was quite supprized by 50's it was a betta then I expected, alot ov phat tunes, the worst ones are the singles, which dont do it any justice, quite A few phat lines I like, like 'Ask Preme homey 50 dont back down' its A ghetto album, simala to the sondtrack to His movie, which was basically A 50 album with alot ov guest i.e Mobb Deep and Ma$e, over all, its betta than Massacre, not quite as good as Get Rich, it deserves more credit than people gave it. He switches up His flow aswell if U LISTIN to albums properly and pay attention, its quite interestin, He sumtimes goes ov like Em or Jay, the way He finishes the last line on the begin ov the first, if U kno wot I mean???lol Its good, coz He obviously worked His bollocks ov inventin nu shit and I guess progressed as A artist.
Kanye's album iz good, but its SO simala to His other shit, which I thought I wud B sayin ov 50's!!! He goes on bout the same shit, okey 50 talks bout gangsta shit, but so do most rappers, they say diffrent gangsta shit lol Kanyes goes on bout droppin outta school, semesters, mayonaise Benz's, teachers, money problems, dilemmas with Jesus etc. Gangsta shit like 50's can B more varied if U kno wot I mean, where iz theres only so many ways U can talk bout wot Kanye chats about. Kayne's dissapointed Me abit, theres also A few lines I herd Him say times B4, but He also has the typical cleaver and witty Kanye lines to, dont get Me wrong its its A good album, wen He changes the subject like on track 13, is A killa, He talks bout Jay-Z 'His Older Brother' all in all, U cant say whoes iz betta, there totality diffrent albums, it all depends what mood Ur in. There both pretty good. Not Amazing. But pretty damm good. Worth supporting and goin out and coppin not copying.

1. is it me or does Cam look like he's losing weight? Yeah, we're all definitely interested in hearing what he has to say. Maybe he should have used this op to release an album as opposed to a mixtape to get a little gwap from everything that's going on.

2. I don't think Souljah Boy would diss Chicago. Too many fake niggas running around using other cats identities.

3. So Kanye's just about plat and 50's on the way to plat. Say what you want but he's still on his way to go platinum faster than the Game's last album did. But i'm surprised at Cham. Well he said he doesn't have a big radio hit like last time.. and cats seem to be more interested in doing the "superman" as opposed to listening to something with substance.

4. Did anyone care about lil Zane the first time?

5. Mc Shan on a comeback? I was a Shan fan back in the day.. but if Kool G and Rakim are having a hard time going at it... I don't know how Shan is going to make an impact (note: I can't listen to the track at work)

6. Hot Rod vs. Bow Wow. Who cares?

7. Bill O’Reilly is a conservative dickhead. THese cats at my job swear by this clown! Of course none of them are black.

8. Murdere Mook? COngrats. He's a great battle rapper but the one actual song I heard from him  was horrible.

Maybe it's time to do like the oval office. The president and vice president are rarely together for obvious reasons. A set of important instructions are carried in a briefcase seperate from the president. This is obvious too - to prevent someone jacking the president AND knowing how to take over the world.

Rappers - have a member of your entourage carry your important shit - chains, laptops, credit cards - so when you get jacked, it'll be minimum shit!

because now that Mobb Deep is no longer making relevent Hip Hop folks are realizing how fraudulent that dude is.......I mean really.....i used to be a Mobb Deep fan and The Infamous is a classic but, these cats lost a lot of credibility when they jumped head first into 50's lap......plus they didn't do any colabo's with anyone from their crew when they put out Blood Money....IMO that was the bad move to sign with G Unit they already had a loyal fan base!!!!!!

Lemme clear all this high school rumor bullshit up...thats me in that picture wit Cam...Benny Bluntz aka Uptown Intifada from East Harlem...I took that picture cuz i was walkin down 3rd Ave which is our main shoppin ave and I stopped in mcdonalds and i seen Cam wit his peoples and his son...I honestly dont even see anything funny about it...i actually think its pretty ironic that muthafuckas is quick to hate on a rapper that don't be in his hood no more and then turn around and hate on someone when he does just that...This dude is chillin in Mickey D's practically dolo while most rappers cant walk their own hood without bodyguards...are yall tryin to say a man can't eat at a certain place anymore or let alone take his son there once he reaches a certain economic status?  Crackin jokes on a rapper for bein in a mickey D's in his own hood seems real out of touch wit reality to me...I been listenin to Cam since the Children of the Corn and based on my short experience meeting him in person, he seems like a humble dude that appreciates his fans and aint forget where he came from...I in no way endorse any of the bullshit rumors muthafuckas is comin up wit...I got nothin but love for killa...And for the record, this shit isnt even recent, its from last summer...I had it up on my myspace in order to show love and I guess some lil kid wit nuthin better to do than start e-rumors jacked it from my page and ran a whole nother way wit it...Cam is the epitome of a Harlem dude and I kno I speak for alotta cats in my hood when I say I'm proud to have him reppin' us in Hip Hop...

Okay, sorry thats my Camron rap for today. You should try it, its fun! On to the rumors!

I dont know if thats really Cam but if it is, dude dosent look good. I thought 50 was fuckin around when he said they call Cam killa cause he got A-I-D-S not I-B-S, but now maybe its true?? All I know is Im not sippin on Cam's snapple. GET THE KIDDIE POOL IN THE BACK! Cam lost.

The only thing Saigon should be apologizing for is leaving so early. lmfao.

Shouts to Buddens! He gave me one of the best quotes about hiphop blogs evar. "At any time you can go on the internet and read some of the most ignorant shit regarding hiphop you've ever seen in your life" -TRUE! Buddens whatap! "Hey did he say something about my sneakers? OH HELL NAW, Im fittin to go in on em!!!" lmfao. Buddens is that dude.

Fuck Chicago. lol. Naw just playin, I got peeps up there its a beautiful city, but the beautification is hiding some serious issues. Erin! Poobles! Electra! Whatap Girl!?!

I was really hoping that Cham / Paul wall connect would happen. Really tho, Paul Wall is a real dude, and does have lyrical skills he's just underrated and hated on. Cham and Paul, bring texas back!! *SMH* At Chams 1st week sales, he has my favorite track right now period with HipHop Police. A real true hiphop track, a concept song with little subtle things in the lines you gotta pay attention to and Slick Rick just shuts it down with that smooth hatian flow, unbelievable track, listen to it again, I mean REALLY listen to it.

I dont care about 50 or Kanye's sales, thats why I bought Strong Arm Steady and La Coka Nostra. Imma go cop Chams new joint too, support some artists that care about quality rather than $$.(Even tho 50s album is hot, but it dosent matter anymore, vitamin water)

LOL @ Yung Jacked! He was a herb for that necklace anyway.

Lil WHo?

Mc Shan is nice, Mc Ren is better.

I talked about that Oreilly situation yesterday, can you believe this fucking guy? *SMH*

Adrianne Curry is stupid. But shes also dumb, dumb HOT. But also a dumb bitch. Id still smash cause Im a dog like that.

Theres Gays everywhere, Aljamahaanaddaa or whatever the fuck that psycho fuck's name is, he's probably a gay.

Kimora could've gotten it back then, 80s style. Alicia can get it all day millenium addition.

How is Saigon gonna' say he didn't start that scrap? I could have swore it was him in the video who bombed 1st??

Who told Diddy the "I Get Money" remix is HIS video? Ol' boy stays on a power trip.

Just curious, but does anybody else recognize that Souljah Boy is gonna' be a one hit wonder? Kind of like DJ Unck.

Lil Zane??? SMH... NEXT!

Man Floyd Mayweather blew it last night on Dancing With the Stars. I've never seen that show before then, but trynta' dance to Outkast on that show??? Not a good look. His dance partner is a bad, bad woman though. She can get it.

When Bush gets merked, maybe they can get Bill O'Reilly too. That's an ignorant ass white man right there. Like he really gives a fuck about the upliftment of Black America. If we become good new order slaves and just work to make the rich richer, then we'll be okay in his book. Can't stand dude.

Man, so what if the Iranian president said there are no gays over there? What does that have to do with the US?? Our culture is too caught up in worrying about others. Let him and his worry about that cause it doesn't effect us one bit. Lets talk about why the Canadian dollar is equal to ours as of two days ago, when it was just 30 cents less a couple years back??? That's important.

Never have thought Kimora Lee was hot. Alica has her moments though.

We have open homosexuality in media and public, they don't due to "Sharia law", and the Iranian moral police.  Women and men cant even have "PDA" in public.  If you are found to be gay you WILL be hung in public.  They hang you from a mobile crane driven out and put a noose around your kneck and lift you right off the ground.

(Random Thought: Why do crackheads always ask for $2?)

Saigon is a good dude. I still don't think he should've apologized when he was defending himself. I would have socked the bodyguard though for grabbin' me from behind. Not because I'm "tough" just because that's a natural reaction for when somebody grabs you from the back.

Wow! For starters, is she off he f%cken kountry bumpken mind.  I'm shocked that people have the ballz to agree with her.  She then say the thing that most racist people identify with, I dated or knew a black person.  No sweetheart u didn't because if u did u would be fully educated on our present hardships.
I am from the slums.  I attended a county high school through the desegregation program because the city of st. louis thought it would be better to spend money on the baseball field, instead of the cities high school.  As a result many of the inner city and county high schools where blacks live and pay taxes or not a-credited high schools and the desegregation programs are long gone.

I graduated year 2000 and I myself and I'm black, so this is still current. I experience being treated different all througout 1st grade throughout college.  I graduated from University amissouri Rolla with an Electrical Engineering degree.  During my time in school teachers always treated me different and they opted to give me lower grades than I deserved, as if C's were exceptable because of my black skin.

How dare you or anybody else challenge what we have been through in this kountry?  I have been klosed to being beat by police numerous times more than I kan kount on my two hands.

QUESTION?

"The session was the way you can imagine it. It was a billion dollars in the building. It was a lot of power in there. You basically had the powerhouses of Hip-Hop all in one room and we had a ball."

Puffy Made that qoute earlier

I have a question for A-body espcially Blackpeople1 and Hoodprophet and of course A-body else.

Do these artist really have power or is that shit getting to their head cuzz they have hundreds of millions of dollars?

Meaning...yeah you can buy what ever you want to buy and to that hood you dumb rich cuzz you got all that loot.

Yeah you can get anybody bodied and put work in the streets.

Yeah you got pull at radio stations and vendors and such.

BUT....do you really have power or are they just letting you be?

Meaning...
You don't own any distribution companies?
Your market is only HipHop and HipHop fashion.
You don't own Major Movie production companies or distributors
You don't own any Major Movie theater chains, you may can make a movie but who is going to play it?

Im just asking cuzz these cats dont have power they just have money, and not alot of it compared to the real bosses.

If they black ball you, you will never make another penney.

If you don't own distribution you cant put out shit and the vendors wont sell your shit.

If you make a movie you don't own the theators so they wont show you movie...

So how are you powerful?

Cuzz you can make black folks harlem shake?

Power is Oprah, she own her own network

Power is the dude that own Viacom, he can dumb us out by puttin flavor of love on his networks.

Jay-z, 50cent, and Diddy have no power in my opinion...
I could be wrong

MY Boycott against BET and Black History Month

Because of my last blog, and all the wonderful feedback I got..it made me think...

This is gonna be hard guys. I LOVE the comedians on BET. I also LOVE the fact that they play my favorite show of all time, In Living Color. However, I do not believe in seperating ANY RACE in America. WE ARE AMERICANS! How dare we have Black History Month! In my eyes, the Native Americans deserve it MUCH more, seeing how we destroyed their ENTIRE SOCIETY. There are hardly any of them left! They also have been proven to have the WORST living conditions on their reservations. I want AN AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH. One where we learn about EVERY race, ALL OF OUR LEADERS, EVERYONE! I think by having a month dedicated to one race, and not one for any other, is RACIST. Every fund set up to only help people of one race is SICK and RACIST.

Yes, I get it. Black people were slaves here once. You know what? That does suck some major balls, however, it is time to move the fuck on. Do we hear the Jews crying that they were made slaves for thousands of years? Do we hear them whine that they should OWN the pyramids in Egypt because THEY broke their backs making them? Do we hear them bitch and moan about Hitler, etc? (my hubby is a Jew)Nope, we dont. It's time for us to UNITE AS ONE. I do not think that singling out one race, giving one race opportunities to go to college (I know a TON of poor white.asian, indian, american indian, etc etc that could use that too!), giving one race the EXCUSE to blame things on others for being whatever nationality they are, is a good way at making sure we NEVER kill racism.

I am over this shit. WE ALL CAME FROM ONE BLACK WOMAN FROM AFRICA, THAT is our EVE! It has been proven by science, and I stand by it. If any other race had a chanel dedicated to just them, we would think it was racist. If any other race demanded a month be set aside for ONLY them, they would be considered racist. I am NOT living by this double standard any longer.

Think I am racist? I am not. I know what racism is. I dated a guy named "Justin" in Junior high. Nothing serious, but I really liked him. He was the blackest of black...BEAUTIFUL skin, kinda like Alex Wek's. He was handsome, and athletic, etc. I was called a nigger lover. But you know what? I was called that by a whole 2 people out of a school with HUNDREDS of students. THAT is why I am NOT buying this racist shit anymore. Let us teach or children that there is NO DIFFERENCE! We are all human. I hope one day aliens land and try to kill us. Maybe THEN we would finally realize that WE are ONE.

So, I will no longer tune into BET. This is going to suck, but I do NOT like the idea of having a chanel for only 1 race. In the year 2007 in a country that is supposed to be the most advanced and equal. This is unexceptable! I will also no longer acknowledge Black History Month. Instead, I will see it the way that Morgan Freeman does (I have the quote at the bottom of my last blog on Obama/jesseJackson, and OJ). AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH! I will read/watch/and learn about ALL the people who made a difference in this country.

I am asking you ALL to join me. Black, White, Indian, Asian, Russian, Australian, etc etc.....lets be AMERICANS together! What happened to the African American community was AMERICAN HISTORY, not BLACK HISTORY. If you want to celebrate in a way that excludes others and singles one race out, count me the FUCK out! I am soooo proud to be an American. I am SO proud that I have friends of every race, and none of us see each other as anything but what we are..people. Lets change Black History Month to 2 months of AMERICAN HISTORY. We will still learn about all the black leaders and people who made a difference....just not with the racist name of "Black History Month". It has to start somewhere. I am going to do my part in making sure we are all treated EQUAL in a country that CLAIMS we are. NO MORE SPECIAL TREATMENT FOR ANYONE WITH ANYTHING!

It will never happen. At least, that is what many of you will say...FINE! My number one priority here is being able to die and know that I stood up for what I believed in, and that I did not add to the SEPERATION OF AMERICANS!! I love my country, I love the people in it. I love our history, good and bad. We should LEARN from it,not dwell in it and not move forward. That's why I am done with this shit. You are all my brothers and sisters.....even if I think you suck ; )   As Bono said, "One life, with each other..sisters...brothers!"

now, have fun burning me at the stake ; )

Do these mega artists have power? Sure. Not Oprah power, but they don't have Oprah money. Think of this: How many people you know that don't like hip hop drink vitamin water? My mom dukes drinks vitamin water. No one drank it before 50 cent. So it could be said he has the power to sway America's taste buds, right? When Kingdome Come was dropping, you saw Jay-Z everywhere. He might not own his own promotion company, but he should, because he was everywhere. Jigga was on Monday Night Football. Every beer commercial you saw for 2 months was 30 seconds of the Show Me What You Got video with a Budweiser symbol at the end.

It's a touchy subject because no they don't have the power to change the entire nation's opinion the way Oprah does. But what if Diddy had his own TV show everyday in the same fashion Ms. O does? Oprah put in her work, she's been doin it for a long time. Is that to say that a rapper or hip hop mogul couldn't get on TV and do the same and have that same power? I'm not so sure. I mean, you can't take any rapper and put him/her on TV and expect it to have the same results.

I think Kanye could have that power, if he wasn't such a 'cry baby'. He's a passionate cat, and people respect that. If he could find a way to express how he feels without sounding like a toddler, he would have much more success in other aspects besides being a rapper. He's just one example.

But I don't think rappers have that kind of power right now, but can gain it, if they chose.

@518p             I hear what your saying I think they truly feel they have power but like u say based upon how much money they have. But there is more to power than just money. Like as to whether they can actually influence the masses and cause actions from their influence. Like when Diddy had the whole vote or die campaign, it gathered a lot of media attention, kids looked at it like yea this is cool but it still seemed like ppl were more into it as some kinda fashion statement like wearin those  "vote or die" t-shirts but then not actually taking time out to go vote......Does anyone kno if there was any SIGNIFICANT increase in turnout???

I reckon the power they have is over those that are more superficial and impressed by big chains and fancy cars; but in influencing those that will help make changes in society they're going to need more than that.

I kno ppl like Diddy has his own bad boy production company that produces shows like Run's House and other stuff on MTV

But I think the main point with regards to music really is what about distribution companies?? Everyone is like "i got my own label'' but its always under the umbrella of a interscope/sony bmg/ columbia etc your definitely on point there bro

I guess I was talking about actual power and not power over the people.
Meaning, Shaq has power in the NBA and media
Peyton Manning has power in the NFL and Media
But if the commissioners and the league decided to ban them, then what do they have.

Yes Jay and them have the ability to effect peoples minds but how are they allowed to do that?
Through media?
they don't own one major player in media
They can pull the plug on Jay if they want to, yes he was on MNF, but someone made the decision to put him on air not Jay-Z.
Im not hating just stating...

The real power are the heads that run the shit, not the halfway down the totem pole.

What if Jay, Diddy, and Fiddy got together and bought a major Theater chain?
Or Major studio?
Then they can produce and put out they own shit with out permission or anyone gettin in their way.
Black folks can put out our movies and will have a theater chain to show them without kissing ass.

Sheldon Adelson owns half of Las Vegas and casino's all over the world, thats power he doesn't need any approval for shit.
And he started from nothing, no money.

Jay and them got loot now, maybe we should start moving to the owners box and stop settling for just being the starter on the team.

400 million is cool
but 30 billion and no one above you is even better.

co-sign ur statement on money vs. power. some might argue that the two are equivalent. and i agree in some ways they truly are. the difference imo is where race comes into play. we live in a essentially Capitalist and Racist society. there is no getting around that, no denying that. some people argue that money is greater than race today in our society. in a lot of ways that is true. but at the end of the day i think race plus money trumps all.

if ur a wealthy white man, you're set unless you make the wrong enemies. your ass will get crucified given the chance.

if ur a wealthy black man, at some point they are mos def. going to assassinate ur character. but u might get ur ass really assassinated depending on who ur enemies are.

overall this whole convo is why i say that the music industry and the professional sports industries are the new age slave system in the U.S., right along with the prison industrial complex. all are aimed at exploiting the individual for the ultimate Capitalist gain of the wealthy owners. just like during the chattle slavery time era, the exploitation of slaves for the benefit wealthy landowners.

the fucked up part is that the entertainers' and even the likes of the so- called "moguls" believe that because they own certain things that they have power. which they might, but it's low-level power, not enough to compete with those with real power. i feel like they are really pawns and tokens to keep the masses of people of color unaware of this facade. like, if these black men have power and money then black people must really be free. it's a mindfuck, if u ask me. i think it is also a way to control the masses by keeping them focused on values that most can never attain (i.e, becoming the next big artist or pro. athlete). the real alternative is becoming the next convict, which is much more common, or death on the streets (at the hands of someone just like them, aspiring to the wrong shit or a crooked ass cop).

my 2 cents...

Two things may or may not happen.

1) on september 11, 2008, there will be a GLOBAL, WORLDWIDE protest against the lies of 9/11. There is waaaay too much info out there now. Everywhere.

2) the powers will cut off the internet("s") before then. because it "fosters communication between potential terrorists".

We must demand answers and just punishment.

If all you can remember is the people jumping from those buildings to their deaths, then let that serve as a motivator.

Because next time it can be you on the golden gate bridge.

Or tryin to chill in times square when BOOOM!

See, they counted on the terror of the images of planes slamming into buildings.

They counted on us being riled up.

But they didn't understand exactly how deep that terror would be.

They didn't anticipate that this terror would force us to probe deeper and deeper.

Only because we don't want it to happen again.

And they didn't count on us uncovering and exposing the truth...

@Five18p....That's a very good question bro'. I think their power lies in their ability to not only make money for themselves, but for others. They don't have the power of say the Bush family, or Ted Turner, or Bill Gates. But they're all so valuable to the moguls above them that it gives them a playing chip. No top level boss in his right mind would blackball those guys unless they want to risk losing a nice sized percentage of their dough. Cause if they don't fool with them, chances are somebody will. I think you hit a good point though.......cause if you notice, Jay-Z is trying to be that powerful dude. The 40/40 clubs around the world, the Nets deal, etc. He, Puff, and 50 seem to be making those types of moves. As far as actually running the REAL show?  I don't know that America would permit any hip-hoppers to take it to that Oprah status. They're still scared of us.

Fo sho. But Rappers are starting to make that leap. Jay-Z got himself put on MNF, and all those commercials to expand his image to those who wouldn't normally be exposed to it. That's the same reason he had Dale Ernhart Jr and Danica Patrick in the video.

Jigga Man is the one in the position to take over if he wants to. He's the president of a major record label, and has them sweating over what his next move is gonna be. He's part owner of the Nets, and he's trying to get the naming rights of their arena.

No he doesn't own a major studio, or own the company that owns the record label. YET. He's still a young man, relatively speaking. He's making moves. He's what, 37 or 38? Give him 10-15 years and see where he's at.

I also kinda think maybe it's a thing where rappers don't want to own the companies that own the labels, or make the movies, or what have you. Rappers catch enough shit about the "downfall of society" and they just rap, and sell clothes. Imagine what the media would have to say every time S. Carter pictures put out a movie like Saving Private Ryan. "There is no need to show that much gore and blood and death in a movie. It is absolutely disgusting and Jay-Z should be murdered, today."

Oprah's been on national TV every single day for 20+ years. That means that for two decades, people from every walk of life, every race, have had the oppertunity to listen to what she has to say every single day.

If Jay-Z got his own show like that, it wouldn't take him half that time, because of his pre existing fame.

If you cant call up a press conference and get major media outlets to be there...

You have no power or limits to your power...
Very few people can command an all channel press conference on you local channels...

Another thing is which is i feel the most important is Rappers have to spend money or do something "unethical" to be in the Nationwide media...

People like Oprah, Bill Gates, and "Curious" George W. Bush can get the attention from the nationwide media for Free or even get PAID for there segments and press conferences...

@BigSlimFL ....thanx for posting that blog on boycotting BET. I see what Adrianne Curry is trying to say in it, but I disagree with a lot. Just because we do away with Black History Month or BET won't stop the unfair racial treatment of black Americans. Doing away with any special considerations for race wouldn't have stopped what happened to the Jena 6. The same injustices will go on, but WAY below the radar if we don't stick together and maintain somewhat of our own cultural nationalism. It's that unified front that makes us harder to fuck with. What bothers me about people who say 'get over it' is they seem to forget that it was just about 40 yrs ago that we couldn't even use the same bathroom as a white person. We had to scratch and claw to get what little bit we have today and some of the things that represent that are Black History Month, BET, and MLK Day. She was wrong about the whole Jew thing in my opinion. They mention the holocaust every month or make a movie about it. What did they get for their troubles?? A whole damn country, Israel and it's protected by America like it's a part of America. What do Black Americans get?? A small slice of the pie and "Get Over It". Slavery was just as bad as the holocaust, maybe even worse. Then to be treated like slime for years and years after didn't help. We have a cultural memory and each generation passes on that pain and hurt, so we can't just 'Get Over It'. I didn't experience any of that stuff, but I still hurt from it for some reason. If you aren't a Black American, you can't quite understand.

that is amazing how many Europeans are more aware of the reality of the circumstances related to 9/11. and it is scary to think about what the one dude said: they've been holding us hostage, and (in general) we don't even resist. like some stockholm syndrome type of shit! on some identifying with the captor shit! a new world order, one world government...this shit is scary...1) because i personally feel powerless against such a powerful and corrupt system (there's that defeatist thinking again) and 2) because so many Americans choose to remain in the dark and reject the truth (because the reality is mind shattering) that in a way they are our as much the enemy as the perpetrators (like some for real Matrix type of shit) cause they will do anything to remain oblivious to reality...

what do you think the next step should be?

VICTIM: The 1997 shooting death of Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, shown receiving an award in 1995, remains unsolved.Inmate recants story about LAPD link to rapper's slaying

In a deposition, the man says Biggie Smalls' family and its lawyer offered to pay him. The lawyer calls claims false.

By Mitchell Landsberg, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
September 26, 2007

A prison inmate who had implicated a former Los Angeles Police Department officer in the shooting death of rap star Biggie Smalls has renounced his story, tying a new knot in the tangle of intrigue that surrounds the still-unsolved killing.

Waymond Anderson, who was briefly a top-selling R&B artist and is serving a life term for murder, said in a recent deposition that he lied about LAPD involvement in the Smalls slaying as part of a "scam" concocted by two other convicts to squeeze a large monetary settlement out of the city.

Smalls' family has filed a wrongful death suit seeking damages from the city. In a surprising twist, Anderson accused the rapper's family and its lawyer of participating in the scheme and offering to pay him for false testimony implicating the LAPD.

He said he was offered a percentage of any settlement if he testified that former Los Angeles Officer Rafael Perez had told him that another ex-officer, David Mack, was involved in the murder. In the deposition, he repudiated earlier statements to police investigators in which he described conversations with both of the disgraced officers.

"I don't know David Mack, I don't know Rafael Perez," Anderson told lawyers representing relatives of the slain rapper, whose real name was Christopher Wallace.

The two officers "had no involvement with the . . . murder," Anderson said under oath. At various points in the deposition, he said, "It was a lie, and I'm ashamed of it," and, "I did what I had to do to survive."

The slain rapper also was known as Notorious B.I.G. He was gunned down outside the Petersen Automotive Museum in the Mid-Wilshire District after a music industry party on March 9, 1997.

Anderson's testimony, given Aug. 20, was an unexpected reversal for the Wallace family lawyers, who presumably assumed that he would tell the same story he had earlier told detectives.

In some of his most explosive testimony, Anderson charged that the family's lawyer, Perry R. Sanders Jr., offered to pay him to lie in court about Perez and Mack.

Sanders, a Louisiana lawyer who also has offices in Colorado Springs, Colo., said Anderson's allegations were "100%, demonstrably false."

"This is wholesale, made-up-out-of-whole-cloth perjury," he said in an interview.

Sanders added that Anderson appeared to have been acting at the behest of a Times reporter, Chuck Philips, who has written extensively about Wallace's death, including articles that raised questions about the theory that LAPD officers were involved.

The Times published an article by Philips earlier this year that cast doubt on Anderson's conviction in a 1993 arson-murder. Anderson has since filed a writ of habeas corpus seeking his release.

Sanders said Anderson "clearly would like to please Mr. Philips, because he's singing his song, first, second and third verse and certainly the chorus."

In a court filing after the deposition, two attorneys working with Sanders on the Wallace case suggested that an unidentified "third party" had induced Anderson to commit perjury.

Sanders offered no evidence to support his argument, except to say that Philips had been a "detractor" of the Wallace family's theory of the case.

Philips, who won a Pulitzer Prize in 1999 for his coverage of corruption in the entertainment industry, called Sanders' claim "idiotic."

"This guy clearly doesn't understand what an investigative reporter does for a living," he said. "I don't make up stories, I report them."

Times Editor James O'Shea said Sanders' accusations against Philips were "utterly groundless."

Sanders had an Encino lawyer, David Byers, write several letters to The Times threatening a libel suit if the paper published the "outrageous and false statements" in Anderson's deposition. But Byers also encouraged the paper to "do a story" about Anderson's motivations in making the statements.

Regarding the threat to sue, O'Shea said: "This deposition is part of a public lawsuit against public institutions in Los Angeles. We have an obligation and a right to report on it, and we will."

The wrongful death suit, brought by Wallace's mother, Voletta Wallace, and his widow, Faith Evans, accuses the LAPD, and specifically Mack, of responsibility for the rap star's death.

Mack is serving a federal prison term for stealing $722,000 from a bank near USC. His former patrol partner, Perez, became the central figure in the scandal that rocked the LAPD's Rampart Division. Both men were on the police force when Wallace was gunned down.

Mack has never been charged in the killing and has denied any involvement. In 2005, in an accusation that has echoes in Anderson's claim, he said Sanders and another lawyer offered him financial inducements to cooperate with the family's lawsuit. At the time, Mack's lawyer referred the alleged offer to the U.S. attorney's office, which did not pursue the matter. Sanders denied the allegation.

Wallace was one of the two biggest stars in rap music when he was killed in an apparent drive-by shooting. The other, Tupac Shakur, was shot to death in Las Vegas the year before.

Various theories have linked the two homicides, neither of which has been solved. Some believe the two men were killed as part of a rivalry between East Coast and West Coast rappers, or between their two music labels, Marion "Suge" Knight's Death Row Records, based in Los Angeles, and New York-based Bad Boy Entertainment.

In his deposition, conducted at the state Substance Abuse Treatment Facility at Corcoran prison, where he is incarcerated, Anderson testified that a fellow inmate, Kenneth Boagni, approached him sometime in 2001 and asked him to join a scheme to implicate the LAPD in the Wallace murder to aid the Wallace family lawsuit. He said he was promised 5% to 10% of any settlement.

Anderson said that Boagni, a one-time police informant serving a 40-year term for burglary, told him he had already received $25,000, beginning with a $2,500 payment from Sanders to repair plumbing at his mother's house. Anderson said a third convict, Mario Hammonds, was also in on the scheme.

"They wanted me to corroborate with them this story that they had concocted together," Anderson testified.

The story, he said, was that "we all three could verify that Rafael Perez and David Mack were involved with the crime of the murder of Christopher Wallace."

Anderson said he subsequently had a phone conversation with someone identifying himself as Sanders. "He asked me if I received the message from his guys, and the message was that he was willing to pay me for participation in the scam against the city," he said.

Asked for comment, Sanders said he had not been retained by the Wallace family and was not familiar with the case until after Boagni had left Corcoran. Therefore, he said, Boagni could not have told Anderson about Sanders' involvement.

The attorney said he became involved in the case after reading about it in Rolling Stone magazine, which published an article in its June 7, 2001, edition, which was available online May 18. Boagni was in Corcoran from Feb. 27 to May 24 of that year.

"The lawsuit that we filed that put my name out there in the public, we didn't file that until sometime in early 2002," Sanders said. "There was no way anybody would have known to get hold of me." The lawsuit was filed April 9, 2002.

In his testimony, Anderson said Boagni called Anderson's wife repeatedly this summer, renewing the promise of money if he testified as instructed. He said Boagni first offered $25,000, then $50,000, then $75,000, and that ultimately, Voletta Wallace, in a message delivered through another inmate, offered him $150,000.

Asked if the Wallace family denied those charges, Byers said: "It goes way beyond denial. They're demonstrably false and defamatory."

518 you tryna pick my brain.

Okay here you go:

Buss it.

Know that none of these sucka ass urban personalities posing as hip-hoppers and emcees are as smart as you think they are.

Know that white folks pick the "toubob-approved" personalities who further their interests.

EXCERPT FROM THE SECRET COVENANT: "We will recruit some of their own to carry out our plans..."

See, being black or being a person with color is synonymous with poverty.

In other words, if each one us represents our people, everytime we step outside then we people see us they see someone poor.

Now when we see someone of color with lots of money and white people wealth -- not true wealth which is land and the means to protect your land -- we are quick to say they are so smart.

Seans #1, #2, Half a dollar dude, and the silly little rappers coming up flashing bills and cheap jewelry in their videos are nowhere near as intelligent as we try to make them out to be.

The dollar is worth nothing. You cannot redeem it for gold anymore.

The Amero (sp?) is the new rumoured currency.

If these guys were intelligent, then why would they partner with the enemy of their people and sell their own people into slavery?

Let's look at it from their perspective.

"Man, fuck that. I gots to take care of me. I ain't into all the black shit."

"Shiddddd. If this white man over here say he gon put 20 million in my pocket as long as I remain pop and substance free, I 'ont care."

"Cuz it's not about black or white anymore. It's rich or poor. Hahahaha, these niggas betta get they weight up!"

Peep:

When you sell your people out, when you hurt your people, you hurt yourself.

Also you must play for longetivity. The future. The long run. Forever.

Not just now. And the next five years.

So let's say white folks allow you the access you covet so strongly. As well as your generations in the future.

That's not true acceptance. That's temporary tolerance.

They never have and never will give a fuck about you.

But these guys try to come off as so intelligent.

They are not.

I've been waiting to say this for a while but when your actions are based upon the actions of an outside stimulus then your drive is flat and controlled.

When you chase after - key word after - white people then you will always find yourself behind the times.

Our actions should not be predicated by the positve or negative stimulus from the toubob.

for instance.

The seans: "Ooooh White people got money. Lemme try and go get money."

"White people called me a nigger. Now I'm mad at white people.

"White people was nice to me today. They gave me twenty million dollars. White people are cool and nice."

Yo.

The first law of nature is self preservation.

We should pursue that whether white people or pleasant and cordial or whether they're malicious and spiteful.

Holding hands with the toubob has never ensured our well being.

The two seans and the half a dollar dude should know that. But they don't because they are not as intelligent as they would seem.

And that's why white folks blow them up because they promote stupidity.

But these urban personalities have no true power. Nor do they desire it.

The Jews (which is a religion not race people) have it better than us and they don't look black so they may not have issues as much.

We should'nt get over it, keep bangin but keep obtaining some knowledge and success black people.

Affirmative Action helps insure people do the right thing

Black History month helps insure our Black American Culture is discussed, otherwise you wouldn't hear about it.

ay, i didn't see that clip of the mom slappin the kid either. so i don't know the circumstances but i'ma keep it all the way real and i don't care...

i, like jrzeema, believe in teaching kids to defend themselves (altho i also think that can be taken to the extreme sometimes, but that's a whole other topic). at the same time, i was raised by my momma (just me and her) and she always had my back from a youngsta all the way up to being a young lady (i don't fight anymore). granted we are also more like sisters than mother & daughter. she would come up to the school in a minute if she felt she needed to. but she is/was also very confrontational
with anyone. she's been known to get into it with men, women, and children alike! LMAO now that's ghetto!

but what can i say? i try not to be that extreme. but i can say in all honestly, i will let a kid know what's up if they seriously bullying or threatening mine and be looking for they momma. of course, i will try to scare the shit out of a youngsta first, but if that don't work, i might would just whoop they little ass (depending on the circumstances). luckily, my older son (altho a little guy, like his pops) got heart and always been a hard nose. so he always handled his own and only when absolutely necessary.

but here's an example:
when i was like 6 or 7 y.o. my & my momma lived in this apartment bldg. with hella kids and all that. we had hella fun all the time. but there was this fat girl who was like 12 or 13 y.o. she had serious emotional issues cause her momma (an older church lady) was always calling the police on her daughter because she would always physically attack her mother. NEway, one day i stayed around the bldg. with the other kids while moms went grocery shopping.

needless to say, soon as my momma left, this girl got to fucking with me: teasing me, hitting me, etc. so i'm crying sitting on the porch waiting for moms to come home cause i can't get inside the apartment anyway. so she arrives and sees me stressed all out. she went all the way bad. she went and found the girl and slapped the SHIT outta her! no joke left marks and shit! see i already knew not to fuck with moms (cause she was my momma and used to fuck me up too). but i guess April (LOL) didn't. so her and her momma come to the house later looking for some problems, but not really. and she didn't fuck with no more after that, i can tell u that.

now i'm sure if it would've been a fair match up my momma woulda just made us fight, but it was no competition (size, age, etc., and plus the issue had been going on for a while). so moms handled it...

granted this is a different day, you can't really whoop your own kids ass no more, so you really can't be whoopin nobody else's.

my 2 cents...and i know some of y'all got crazy mommas like mine, don't front! ;)

It effects the public....makes non-black ethnicities fear us because they only show us in our worst light, makes some of our women feel inferior because it promotes a standard of beauty represented predominantly by white women, and stands to brainwash everyone into thinking that the majority of humans on the planet are white because that's all that's on the tube.

Co-sign what you said about Jewish being a religion and not an ethnic background. That points to homegirl's ignorance in that she used Jews as a comparison to blacks. I think she meant well in her heart, but it was filtered through very Americanized ideology. It was on some "Can't we all get along" *ish*.

Chris Rock couldn't have said it better though. A lot of people disagree with Affirmative Action and I'm a believer that the best person should always be hired for the job, but who's to say that was was happening before Affirmative Action? Often times, the best applicant might have been a 'minority', but the white boss felt more comfortable hiring someone who looked like them. I think it's necessary.

That being said..I agree with some points Adrianne Curry made, and disagree with some. Do I see it as racist that there is a black history month and not a white history month? No. I feel that history should be history. I think it's sad the government has thrown this label on February like we shouldn't be learning black history every single month, the same way we do european, and white american history.

As far as BET, I think they could do a lot more with the programming they put on the air. A lot of young people, white, black and other don't sit down and watch the nightly news. We depend on what we read on the internet and see on TV to inform us. A lot of the youth watches BET, MTV, and what have you. Instead of having ComicView on every single night, or playing Hell Date for 3 hours straight, they could play a news program. Instead of having The Hills marathon, or The Real World on for 28 hours a day, MTV could use just an hour out of the day for actual news that informs people of things going on.

I, myself, fall in to this category, as I sit around and watch ESPN all day. But while I'm doing this, I'm reading from my local news website, reading from CNN's and MSNBC's website. There's a lot of things going on that 99% of the youth in America has no idea bout, and the last way to get their attention is to ban a network, or boycott it without at least trying to get them to change their ways.

I don't feel its right to compare black people with the jews, because it's 2 completely seperate situations. Apples to oranges, if you will.

@BigSlimFL....very well put. And please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that any other ethnicities outside of black people are unable to sympathize or even empathize with our plights to a certain extent, but there are just some things that can't be understood from reading about them. Just like I might admire Japanese culture, but unless I was brought up in it, I will never quite 'get it' completely.

And LOL@"Instead of having ComicView on every single night, or playing Hell Date for 3 hours straight, they could play a news program."  Co-Sign that shit allllll day! lol  I can't stand Hell Date and the only thing I used to like about Comic View was the fine women they'd flash the camera to every now and then. Speaking of which, I'm thinkin' of ending my streak of video vixens as my avatar. I might just go back to plain ol' me. Not quite as interesting, but BayBOI ain't been around to give me any competition.

i think that this Adrian Curry MIGHT be well intentioned in tryna get past the whole divide and conquer thing. but the reality is that she is a victim of white privilege. i say “victim” because her whole thought process is based upon that without even being aware of that privilege, like MOST, if not ALL white folks. it’s a part of their socialization process. it doesn’t make them racist, necessarily. however, due to this privilege they don’t have to be aware and they continue to benefit from racism.

has anyone ever read the article, “Unpacking the Knapsack of White Privilege” by Peggy MacIntosh? she’s a white feminist scholar who did an internal survey of how she is, in fact, privileged as white woman despite being oppressed from a gender context. it’s excellent because she is keeping it hella real. i wish all white folks would read it, but it’s also a good read for people of color.

NEway, u know i’m not a black chick and all that, but nevertheless i do believe i understand the plight of the black community, simply from being raised within that community plus focusing my education around these issues. but i do agree, that if you are not a Black American (unless there were some sort of extenuating circumstances), you probably don’t understand because each racial/ethnic/cultural group can usually only see through their own cultural lens. which is exactly why i love being multicultural. ;)

SIDE NOTE:
hell must have frozen over, or pigs can fly, or something!!!!!!!!!!!!! because for the first time in life on AHH i agree with not 1, but 2 things that FIZZROY had to say:
1) why do we care what this dingy white broad has to say about black folks issues? in the famous words of JRZEEMA: opinions are like assholes, everybody has one! her opinion has absolutely no bearing on the lives of black folks, so fuck what she talking.
2) Mike Vick is fucking retarded: as a black man in the U.S., if u ain’t figured out that u can’t be slippin’ when u get the opportunities that he’s had, u must wanna get got. fools need more game than that! damn man!

on the MTV, BET thing with the news, they don't need to show it.  It's not their demographics, people want to be entertained on those channels.  People want to feel better about themselves so that's why they watch the stupid minstrel shows they have on them and VH-1.

Plus Viacom own them and they can care less about quality black programming.
If you have TV-ONE in your area it's a little more grown up BET.
They play Martin and ROC and someother shows from back in tha day.

Bigslim-
We need black history month, if we just blended it in with everything else it wouldn't be talked about.  I do think everyday is a chance for blacks to learn and everyone else.

The month puts an emphasis on the History and it stands out.
I like that

Did you know that Prior to the slave trade most people in the world have no idea on African History?
They still think egypt and the builders of the Giza and other pyramids were Arab

The Arabs didn't take over till around 332 B.C. the it was African land thousands of years up to that point.

African and black history is like a parking spot at the DMV...hard as hell to find.

2Pac – All Eyez On Me (Death Row, 1996)

Released on February 13th, 1996, All Eyez on Me reached platinum status in just 4 hours. Selling over 9 million copies, the album is considered one of the most influential in hip hop history and is considered one of the landmarks of 90’s rap. The 27 track double album was recorded in a mere two weeks following a highly publicized 2pac arrest and qualifies for Diamond album status since each disc in a double album counts towards RIAA certification.

TV ONE is the shit..word to Martin and Hangin with Mr. Cooper.

As far as black history month, I was brought up hearing from my friends and their parents "we only get one month out the year, and the shortest month at that." I guess thats where my thinking comes from, that Black history should be along side every other history, taught every day...I also kinda think that having one month fuels the "you have your month, what else do you want" mentality that some people (unfortunately) have.

Sales and charts achievements for Mariah Carey
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page includes the sales and chart achievements for R&B singer, Mariah Carey.

Disclaimer: The singles marks here are based on the Billboard charts. U.S. record sales figures are certified by the RIAA and may be considered reliable. However, no process exists to certify worldwide record sales.

Carey receiving the Millennium Award for being the best-selling female pop artist of all time at the 2000 WMA show

According to World Music Awards, Carey is the biggest-selling recording artist of the decade (1990-2000) [2]. In 2000, she received the Best Selling Female Artist of the Millennium award [3] for being the best selling female artist of all time.[4] In 2003, she also became the first female artist to receive the Chopard Diamond World Music Award, for sales surpassing 175 million copies [5]. She sold a total of about eighty million records in the U.S. (63 million albums and 17.5 million singles)[1] and over 200 million records worldwide in that decade.
Since 2000, Carey's sales have continued to decline with her only selling 20 million albums from 2000 to 2007, however her last release "The Emancipation of Mimi" did sell an estimated 10 million copies.
In total she has sold 230 million records.
Carey is the most successful international artist in Japan, with sales of over twelve million. #1s is the biggest selling foreign album in that country, and Glitter is the first international soundtrack ever to achieve number-one status [6].
She has achieved five number-one albums in Japan:

Album
Merry Christmas
Daydream
Butterfly
#1's
Glitter

Carey's album Music Box is 14 x platinum in Australia, on par with Delta Goodrem's Innocent Eyes only behind Shania Twain's Come On Over (15 x platinum) and John Farnham's Whispering Jack (18 x platinum).
Carey's album Music Box became the first international female album to pass 500,000 legal sales in China. Daydream, Butterfly, #1's and Charmbracelet also sold 500,000 copies or more in the country. Carey's recent album The Emancipation of Mimi was named the top selling international album of 2005, its legal sales exceed 200,000 copies.
Music Box was the biggest selling album of 1994 in:Japan (Int.), Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Greece (int.), Poland, Italy (int.) South Africa, Korea (int.), China(int.), Taiwan, Israel, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Brazil (int.)
According the RIAA, Carey's 5X Platinum Merry Christmas is the second biggest selling Christmas album of all time in the US, second to the 1970 version of "Elvis Christmas Album", which has been certified 9X Platinum by the RIAA. Worldwide, however, Carey's Merry Christmas has sold nearly sixteen million copies worldwide, [7], making it the biggest selling Christmas album of all time.
Carey has the most platinum singles in the U.S. by a female artist (thirteen platinum singles).
Carey is the second female artist in history to have three studio albums sell in excess of nine million copies ( one spot behind Whitney Houston in the U.S.; Mariah Carey, Music Box and Daydream Music and the second female artist to have two studio albums go Diamond, again afetr Houston, whose albums Whitney Houston and The Bodyguard had both been certified diamond by January 1994, a year before Mariah's second diamond album Daydream[2]. Shania Twain has since gotten a third Diamond album.
In the U.S., Carey, Madonna, Britney Spears, Céline Dion, Whitney Houston, Shania Twain, and the Dixie Chicks are the only female artists with multiple Diamond (sales of over ten million copies) albums.
With sixteen years in the music industry, Carey has the following RIAA achievements: albums — seventy-seven certifications, singles — thirty-six certifications (as of December 2006), home videos — twelve certifications (as of August 2005); total: 124 certifications.
RIAA Certifications:[1]
Album: 13 Gold, 13 Platinum, 10 Multi-platinum, 2 Diamond. Singles: 23 Gold, 9 Platinum, 2 Multi-platinum. Videos: 6 Gold, 6 Platinum.

According to the book "The Top 10 of Everything 2007" from www.hamlyn.co.uk, Mariah is listed in the Category of 'Top 10 female artists with the most gold albums in the UK', she is currently at No.4 with 12 gold albums.
As of December 2006, Carey's single "All I Want For Christmas Is You" became the largest selling holiday themed ringtone in history with digital sales surpassing 500, 000 downloads making it certified gold by the RIAA.[3]

[edit] Charts

[edit] Billboard Hot 100 achievements
Carey holds the record for the largest jump for a single to the number two position on the Hot 100 with "Loverboy" which jumped 60-2.
Carey has the most cumulative weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 (seventy-seven) for any female and active recording artist behind Elvis Presley (seventy-nine). [9]
Carey is the artist with most Christmas number one hits in the Billboard Hot 100, three: "Hero" (1993), "One Sweet Day" (1995) and "Don't Forget About Us" (2005).
Carey wrote or co-wrote 16 of her 17 #1 hits, the most for any female composer. This ties her with Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, who wrote seven #1 songs for other artists besides his own group's nine. John Lennon has 26 #1 hits as a writer or co-writer, and Paul McCartney has 32, although not all of these hits are their own. The only song she did not write or co-write was her rendition of the Jackson 5's I'll Be There.
With "One Sweet Day" spending sixteen weeks at number one and "We Belong Together" spending fourteen weeks, Carey joins Carlos Santana and Boyz II Men as the only artists to have two or more double-digit runs at number one on the Hot 100. Interestingly, as of today besides Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Brandy, Monica, Toni Braxton, Destiny's Child, Debby Boone, Olivia Newton-John, Ashanti and Beyoncé are the only female artists to have at least one double-digit run at #1 on The Billboard Hot 100.
When "Fantasy", "One Sweet Day", and "Honey" debuted at number one on the Hot 100, Carey became the artist with the most singles to debut at number one (only fifteen songs have ever debuted at pole position, all since 1995). She also became the first female artist (and second artist, behind Michael Jackson) to ever have a number-one debut with "Fantasy" in 1995. However she also set records by 1) Debuting with 2 singles in a row at the top (Fantasy and One Sweet Day), 2) Only artist (male/female) to have more than 1 single debut at top, and 3) Only artist (male/female) to have 3 single debuts at the top. Before September 1995, Billboard used a methodology that in practical terms made chart-topping debuts impossible for any artist.
Carey has the most consecutive years with a number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 (eleven) from 1990 to 2000.
Carey has the record for the best debut on the Hot 100. The first five singles that she released went to number one; ("Vision of Love", "Love Takes Time", "Someday", "I Don't Wanna Cry", and "Emotions"). She later achieved another five consecutive number-one singles ("Fantasy", "One Sweet Day", "Always Be My Baby", "Honey", and "My All"). The singles "Open Arms", "Forever", "Butterfly" and "Breakdown" were also released to the radio during this time.
With twenty-one songs (seventeen number ones, plus: "Can't Let Go", "Endless Love", "Loverboy", and "Shake It Off") that have reached the top two of the Hot 100. Elvis Presley has twenty-three top-two hits (seventeen number ones, plus "Love Me", "Wear My Ring Around Your Neck", "A Fool Such As I", "Can't Help Falling in Love", "Return to Sender", and "Burning Love"), but many of these predate the switch from the Top 100 chart to the Hot 100 chart in August 1958. However, Billboard considers 1954/1955 to be the line of demarcation; 1955–58 chart totals are included by Billboard in tabulating their "Top Artist Achievements".
Carey is the only artist to have entered the Billboard Hot 100 at least once every year from 1990 to 2006. Other artists such as Elton John, Madonna and Elvis Presley have had longer streaks of this kind, but not during this same period.
Carey is the only artist to have the first singles from all her studio albums top the charts in the 1990s. (Her run was broken in 2001 when "Loverboy", the lead single from Glitter, peaked at number two). The compilation album #1's never had a number one single released during its time.

[edit] Billboard Hot 100 Airplay/BDS Airplay achievements
At sixteen weeks at number one, "We Belong Together" is the longest running single on the Hot 100 Airplay chart by a solo artist. The song is also the second longest running overall single on that chart, tying with No Doubt's "Don't Speak" (1996) and behind Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris", which spent eighteen weeks at number-one in 1998. [10]
"We Belong Together" officially became the song with the most measured impressions on American radio when it reached 192.3 million listeners and over 23,000 spins in the week ending June 7, 2005. In the following weeks, the single continued to break its own record as it peaked at 195.8 million, 202.1 million, 212.2 million, and 223 million impressions. It is the first song in history to break the 200 million one-week BDS audience barrier. Radio impressions are a rough measurement, formulated by taking the Arbitron-rated listening audience, and multiplying that number by the amount of times a given song is played.
"We Belong Together" has recorded the best-ever one day listener figure after it registered with 32.8 million listeners on American radio in a single day. (Unlike TV ratings, this figure does not represent 32.8 million separate people; BDS impressions are a rough estimate of the number of times a song was heard by anyone, without factoring for possible multiple hearings per person.)
Carey is the artist with most weeks at number one on the Hot 100 Airplay charts with a total of 89 weeks. It must be noted that the Hot 100 Airplay chart was first published in the Dec. 8, 1990 issue of Billboard. That means that Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love" never appeared on this tally, because it was a hit before the chart existed. The chart's first No. 1 was "Love Takes Time," which would have had two more weeks at No. 1 had the chart been published earlier. The only other artist with 50 or more weeks at number one are Boyz II Men with 50 weeks.

[edit] Other Billboard accomplishments
In 1999, Carey was named The Most Successful Pop Artist of the decade and The Most successful R&B/Hip-Hop Artist of the decade by Billboard Magazine [11],[12]. "One Sweet Day" was also deemed the #1 song of the decade, based on its longest-ever run atop the Hot 100 chart. [13]
Carey has topped the most individual Billboard charts in history with twenty-six charts. She has had at least one number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100, Hot 100 Airplay, Hot 100 Singles Sales, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Sales, the Pop 100, the Pop 100 Airplay, Hot Dance Music/Club Play, Hot Dance Singles Sales, Dance Radio Airplay, Mainstream Top 40, Rhythmic Top 40, Adult Contemporary, Adult Top 40, Adult R&B, Hot Ringtones, Hot Videoclips, Hot 100 Singles Recurrent, Hot 100 Recurrent Airplay, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Recurrent, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Recurrent Airplay, Adult Contemporary Recurrents, Top 40 Adult Recurrents, Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles, and Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles. As the names suggest, many of these charts first appeared in Billboard in the 1990s or 2000s.
"We Belong Together" held the record for topping the most Billboard charts simultaneously, when it occupied the top position on nine charts on the week ending August 6, 2005 but was later topped by Beyoncé's "Irreplaceable" when it simultaneously went to #1 on tweleve different charts on the week ending December 30, 2006. . It went to number one on The Billboard Hot 100, the Hot 100 Airplay, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, Pop 100 Airplay, the Mainstream Top 40, Rhythmic Top 40, Hot Dance Music/Club Play, and the Hot Ringtones. The week before, it broke its own record of topping eight Billboard charts. However, it must be noted that the subdivision of Billboard charts has greatly increased over the years, and thus the multiple charts did not exist in decades past. [14]
"We Belong Together" was also the song to top the most Billboard charts in history —it had occupied the pole position on thirteen charts altogether but in 2006 Beyoncé's "Irreplaceable" topped 14 charts altogether.
Carey's "We Belong Together" has charted across the most individual genres of music on the Billbord charts. It has charted on nine individual genres which include Pop (Pop 100), R&B (Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks), Rhythmic (Top 40 Rhythmic), Hot AC (Adult Top 40), AC (Adult Contemporary), Urban AC (Adult R&B), Dance (Hot Dance Music/Club Play), Latin (Latin Tropical Airplay), and Jazz (Smooth Jazz).
"We Belong Together" is the second longest running number-one single on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks (fourteen weeks). It is behind Mary J. Blige's "Be Without You" (fifteen weeks) and tied with Deborah Cox's "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here". [15]

[edit] Billboard 200 achievements
Carey has five number-one albums on The Billboard 200 (three debuts at number one). She is tied with Janet Jackson (five number ones) and behind Madonna (six number ones) and Barbra Streisand (eight number ones).
Carey holds the record for most consecutive top-ten album debuts in the U.S. (ten).
With the exceptions of Emotions (which reached number four) and Glitter (which reached number seven), all of Carey's studio albums have reached number three or better on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
Carey has had the most consecutive top-five album debuts in the U.S. (nine).
Carey is one of only four female singers (the others are Madonna,, Janet Jackson, and Whitney Houston) to have an album reach every position in the top five on the Billboard Hot 100.
Carey is one of only thirteen women to have had five or more top-ten debuts on The Billboard 200. Those other artists are Madonna, Barbra Streisand, Mary J. Blige, Tori Amos, Whitney Houston, Céline Dion, Janet Jackson, LeAnn Rimes, and Jennifer Lopez

...Know Your Place In Life Is Where You Want To Be...
We All Live in Jena
National Call to Action

Monday, October 1st, 2007 at Noon, Central Time.

Artist/ Activist Mos Def along with M1, Talib Kweli, Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, Sankofa Community Empowerment, Change the Game, National Hip Hop Political Convention, Hip Hop Association, and student leaders from 50 campuses call for a National Student Walk-Out to rally and show support for the Jena 6, who are being denied their human rights by the Louisiana criminal justice system.

The Case of the Jena 6

Last fall, when two Black high school students sat under the "white" tree on their campus, white students responded by hanging nooses from the tree. When Black students protested the light punishment for the students who hung the nooses, District Attorney Reed Walters came to the school and told the students he could "take [their] lives away with a stroke of [his] pen." Racial tension continued to mount in Jena , and the District Attorney did nothing in response to several egregious cases of violence and threats against Black students. But when a white student--who had been a vocal supporter of the student's who hung the nooses, taunted a Black student, called several Black students "nigger"--sustained minor injuries from a school fight, six Black students were charged with second-degree attempted murder. Last month, the first young man to be tried, Mychal Bell, was convicted. He faced up to 22 years in prison for a school fight until the Black people began to organize and his conviction was thrown out because he was tried as an adult. However the DA and the Judge still refuse to set a reasonable bail or to drop the charges in this case and Mychal is still in jail!!

Mos Def is asking students worldwide to assist in the fight against racial injustice and show solidarity for these young people, who have been treated unequally by the law. The prosecution of these young men symbolizes a terrible miscarriage of justice, by punishing students who opposed segregation in their schools and disregarding the threatening acts of others who advocate it.

As students and activists we say enough is enough! What is happening in Jena is happening all over this country. From Sean Bell to Mychal Bell, the criminal justice system is killing and incarcerating us. We will not be silent!

Demands
Judge J.P. Mauffray and District Attorney Reed Walters have engaged in a string of egregious actions, the most recent of which was the denial of bail for Bell on Friday. We call for:

1. All charges against the Jena 6 be dropped

2. The immediate release of Mychal Bell

3. The United States Department of Justice to convene an immediate inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the arrests and prosecutions of the Jena 6;

4. Judge Mauffray to be recused from presiding over Bell 's juvenile court hearings or other proceedings;

5. The Louisiana Office of Disciplinary Counsel to investigate Reed Walters for unethical and possibly illegal conduct;

6. The Louisiana Judiciary Commission investigate Judge Mauffray for unethical conduct; and

7. The Jena School District superintendent to be removed from office.

Know one thing. If I get struck by lightening and never have a chance to say anything else, I want the world to know one thing:

WHITE PEOPLE LIE

About everything.

About you.

About history.

About identities.

About feelings.

They are never to be trusted.

Never.

Now, let's go back.
Pres, you made mention about the  Curry girl's comments about Black people and those who claim Jewish ancestry (calling themselves Jews).

Let's go with what we know:
White people lie.

All of the world's greatest injustices have been commited by white people.

So now they are telling us they are holy.
And that they are god's chosen people (this is what the so-called jewish people call themselves).

Now, onto Asian Jewish people.

I really like the whole god thing.
Naw, really I do.

I like all the action.

all the grand stories. The ocean's splitting and staffs turning into serpents and all that.

That's like sci-fi and fantasy, right?
That's my shit. Like Clash of the Titans. I love that shit.

So boom, I always wondered why ain't no Asians in those stories.

Shit. It's a billion of them in China alone.

What happened? Did god just say, "Oh naw, we gon' worry about that later."

Later?

Now I could see why ain't no black people in it.
Everybody hate us.
Everybody mad at us.

So they keep us out.
Cool.

Nothin new there.

But why ain't asians in these stories?

They're on this planet too, right?

So then I started examining who wrote the current versions of these stories -- the holy books.

And guess who?

White people.

So boom then my bullshit detector started goin off like crazy.

Cuz I know rule number one:
White people lie.

You ever wonder why all the Jewish people are white?

If it's a religion and god is fair and just why are the chosen people all white?

You ain't have no room for at least some asians?

Somebody's lying here.

The torah, ingil and qu'ran are all texts based on the ancient texts that come from places in the world that white people are NOT indigenous to.

But to make themselves seem just and holy and to lay claim to the whole manifest destiny thing, they had to..."insert" themselves as the chosen people of these books.

But they are still white.

Ain't no spritual, religious or holy texts, carvings, heiroglyphs or scrolls that come from anywhere that white people come from:
The caves and hillsides of Europe.

So when white muvafuckas claim jewish ancestry, they are lying.

They are Keisers or Khazars.

Just another shade of white but white nonetheless.

There is no five thousand year history that goes with them.

They are the original identity thieves.

There is no long background of suffering that they've experienced.

They're are lying.

This is fact.

But the digging into their history which is open to anyone is sometimes called anti-semitism.

When in fact they aren't even semites.

So when this chick is talking about white people built pyramids, I'm left smirking like get the fuck outta here.

Second.

Knowledge of just the tiniest shred of the toubob's history and practices will help you to realize that they never will have the interests of non-white people at heart.

You cannot ask them for anything.

Freedom is taken. It is not given.

They never will give a fuck about any non-white people.
They didn't the first time any of us saw them.

And they won't tomorrow.
What this chick is talking is in line with all of the toubob's outlooks on all of us.

Let these muvafuckas walk around without the mask so that all people of color can see how they are really built.

you got to excuse me for feeling offended. I am white, and care about people. Not black people, not white people, not muslims, jews, catholics, or whatever label you can put on someone. If you breathe the same air I do, I care for and about you, until you, yourself, do something to fuck that up. Are there white people who shouldn't be trusted? You're damn straight. Same coin, different side, there are black people who aren't to be trusted. Not just because they are white, or just because they are black, but because they are snakes, and snakes are not to be trusted. White people lie, black people lie, hispanic people lie, asian people lie.

Wrong.

I'm not speaking on a general scale.

We're talking big picture.

Religious lies = White People

Politcal lies = white people

Educational lies = white people

Entertaiment lies = white people.

I don't expect white people to support their own exposure.
They have never been huge fans of truth.

But do tell me.

What do you make of the European Expansion?

You think white people were justified because the black plague was about to eat a whole in their asses?

Systematically they fooled the globe and they tighten their grip every chance given.

Black people don't share in the running of the world.
Asian people aint runnin it with them.

The world is fucked up and the toubobs run it.

Don't be naive.

OU WOULD LIKE TO KNWO WHAT THE WHIE PEOPLE THINK ABOUT WHAT BP1 SAID WELL HERE I GO

1. HE IS SPEAKING WHAT HE FEELS AND I CANT KNOECK HIM FOR THAT

2. I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE FACT THAT HE IS SAYING WHITE PEOPLE AS WHOLE.. BECAUSE NOT ALL WHITE PEOPLE THINK LIKE THAT OR ACT AS SUCH!

3.I DO NOT AGREE WITH WHAT HE IS SAYING BECAUSE HE IS MAKING A GENERALIZATION .. JUST LIKE SOME IGNORANT ASS WHIE PEOPLE DO ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE ...

I DO NOT GIVE A HELL IF YOU ARE WHITE BLACK GREEN OR PURPLE YOU ARE NOT YOUR SKIN COLOR  YOU ARE A PERSON...

4.BP1 IS SAYING WHAT HE FEELS AND IS NOT DOING IT IT A IGNORANT AND DISRESPECTFUL MATTER AND HE ISNOT PUSHING HIS VEIWS ON ANYONE I CAN RESPECT HIM FOR THAT!

5. SO I CANT SAY I AGREE WITH THE "WHITE PEOPLE " IN GENERAL CAUSE I KNOW A HELL OF ALOT OF PEOPLE THAT LIE CHEAT STEAL AND DECIEVE THAT ARENT WHITE... HELL THEY AINT EVEN BLACK FOR THAT MATTER

MY POINT IS NOONE IS PERFECT AND I FEEL BAD FOR THE IGNORANT PEOPLE THAT CANT ACCEPT PEOPLE AS PEOPLE ... ITS ASHAME THAT IT STILL EXIST TODAY BUT UNFORTUNALEY IT DOES AND RACSIM IS THE DEVIL...

even tho i've said it a million times b4: i don't identify as white. but i feel obliged to respond because i do know that i am half-Italian. some may call that self-hate, some might call that confusion, some might call that denial. i call it my right and privilege as a person of biracial heritage. i am entitled to define myself as i see fit. at the same time, my desire to respond could just be related to the fact that i always got something to say! LMAO

nevertheless, i am not offended by BP1's statement at all. i think that what he is saying is true. on a global, historical, and political white folks have showed us how they get down...i've already spoke on my personal history previously, as to why i see things the way i do. so my statement should be self-explanatory.

i also think that BigSlimFL has a point too...there are snakes of every shade. the difference is that people of color don't hold positions of power, so their lies or racism doesn't have the same impact as that of white folks. i haven't had enough contact with white people (outside of some professors & classmates) to be able to say that what BP 1 stated can apply to white folks in general, but as he already noted, he wasn't making that statement towards white folks in general. but i will admit as a general rule, i don't trust 'em. but then i don't trust anybody 100%. so that might not mean much. i go what i see, shady people always show their true colors, so to speak.

at the same time i don't let that mistrust bias me against being objective with them and give them a chance. i can be cool with white folks and all that, but in my limited experience with them, i have often found myself frustrated by the fact that they really don't "get it" very often. and if they don't happen to "get it," i can't fuck with them. straight up...

i'm feeling disenchanted at the fact that this white girl that we grew up with, who didn't seem white when were younger (the 5% folks even had her claiming devil status and all that; she wanted to be civilized! LOL) has grown up and is actually white! to my surprise! now we on two different ends of the spectrum and i'm ready to cut her ass off. i feel betrayed...she done flipped and threw me for a loop, fa real. more to the story, but that's just an example of my experience with white people...

but in all honesty, i think AHH is helping me to gain a little more positive awareness in regards to white folks, than i had previously, just based on the ones i've met here...

I wasn't being naive..I just took what you said as being white people as in all white people. My bad.

As far as the european expansion no doubt it was a whole lot of of evil shit goin down. White people bangin on black people, brown people, AND white people. No denying the facts.

The leaders of our country have been shitting on whoever they have to, to be put in that position. I think it's gonna stay that way until america finds a man or a woman who doesn't come from money who they feel confident in running our country. They everyman, if you will. It's gonna take more than one term of this person, or people like them to start righting the wrongs. It's gonna take from now until the end of time pretty much, because so much has gone wrong, and it's gonna take a movement like we've never seen to get it done.

I'm tryin not to focus on the past because my people been raping other cultures since day one. I'm looking ahead to see what I can do to bridge the gap. I'm doing positive things so that one day when I have kids, I can teach them that history doesn't have to repeat itself. It's good to know where you came from and learn from the mistakes others have made.

@518p No money doesn't always mean power. There are many things that money can buy you, but privlige is not one of them. You have to be born into that shit. And your father and your father's father. You can have all the money in the world and not be able to golf in some places, or live in others. Influence only goes as far as the people with real money, power and influence will allow. Go to far and it's lights out, no matter who you are.
@Black People 1
It reall looks that way doesn't it. I took a history course in college that might as well have been called "How White People Fucked Up the World" But atrocities exist in all societies, murder and massacre aren't exclusively white. White people are just responsible for the most world impacting. It's like we do the worst possible thing first. Then realize it and make half ass attempts to pacify the people we've destroyed. I don't trust white people either. White people are directly responsible for all the pain in my life. I don't like the corrupt, shallow, racist, theivin, rapin, takin over the world shit either. But it started way before I came around. If I woulda been there I woulda been like "Hey! Stop fuckin killin everybody and wiping out whole cultures muthafucka" For real. Instead I try to make it harder for ignorant fucks to spread their shitty world views. Brings me satisfaction. Or am I white and therefore inconsequencial?
@butrflygrl
I don't really identify with most of the white people I grew up with either. They were rich jocks. People who knew privlige. I grew up poor and had to wear glasses from a young age, so I learned how to fight rich white kids real young. The bullshit propaganda that they shove down the throats of the impressionable is easier to swallow as an affluent white kid, because you watched your parents buy it. I saw alot of people grow up in a world that I knew I would never be a part of. That's why I hung out in the street. Glad I did too, but no matter how much I dislike the wealthy white power structure, I still can't dance very well. Oh and I still like mayonaisse.

I feel you man...I by no means grew up any kind of affluent. We got kicked out houses..Mom Dukes had to file bankrupcy, 2 times. Every school I ever went to, from elementary to high school, I was in the minority.

"The bullshit propaganda that they shove down the throats of the impressionable is easier to swallow as an affluent white kid, because you watched your parents buy it"

co-sign all day.

I have friends that fall in the affluent white category and sometimes they have views on things that I just think can't be real. I was talking to a friend of mine about the conversation we are having on here today, and his response was something to the effect of "white people took over, and remain in control because we are naturally dominant. No one stopped the blacks or the arabs from taking over before white people did, they just didn't"

Now in my head, I'm thinkin 'are you fucking kidding me?' I actually thought about tellin this kid to fuck off and never talking to him again. But is it his fault that he thinks that way? Has no one ever gave him another side to the argument? and What the fuck is wrong with his parents? They let their child grown up, in a world as diverse as the one we live in now, thinking that white people are superior?

I have hope that things will change. I have faith that my generation, isn't about Jim Crow, or segregation. It's about mixing colors man, that shit is beautiful. My generation is the 1st to have a large amount of bi racial kids. That number isn't going down. That shit is sky rocketing more and more every day. That tells me that as a whole, our nation is seeing less skin color and more character.

Man, I've seen all that kinda shit. It's hard to tell off people you know well for being racist, but it's the only way. Anyone hates it when they have light shone on their ignorance, but it has to be done. Too many white people cosign racism by saying nothing, that's how it gets all deep rooted and evil. Like those white folks in Jena who thought the only problem in their town was the protesters and media. It's passed down from families and people of authority. Through jokes and profiling; racism is too accepted by much of the white culture as inevitable. It's not. Thinking that anyone is inferior because of their race or background is crazy. Did anyone see the president of Bolivia on the Daily Show last night. That dude is for real.

you damn skippy, I'm not. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, love where I come from but as a race, we white people have been fuckin up. America's 'founding fathers' put in the right language when they said every man created equal. It's a shame that more than 200 years later, it still isn't true
