Back in September, Cudi wrote on Twitter moments following the release of Drake and Future’s What A Time To Be Alive, “Some of you are so easily amused and impressed by mediocrity.” The timing of the tweet left the impression it was meant to be received as a diss of WATTBA.

Yesterday the Cleveland rapper posted another cryptic tweet nearly immediately after the Internet found out Drake dropped “One Dance” and “Pop Style” (which features Kanye West and Jay Z). This time Cudi said, “Too much industry d*ck lickin’.” The tweet has been retweeted over 2,900 times with users questioning if the message was directed at Drake.

Two years ago, Cudi also expressed during an appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show that if he rapped about his material possessions there would be no Drake. On the same show, the Speedin’ Bullet 2 Heaven album creator talked about how Hip Hop artists flaunting their wealth was detrimental to the black community in his opinion.
