Is Future Bothered By Ciara & Russell Wilson’s Engagement?

Ciara and Russell Wilson took to Instagram over the weekend to announce their engagement. Ciara even made a post stating that she now felt complete. While the Future Hive and Ciara’s C-Squad fan groups both decided to be social media petty, Future himself seemed to be quite “unbothered”. Allegedly a source close to the rapper says, Future is actually quite bothered. A source claims that Future took his mind off the engagement by celebrating and partying with friends and strippers at Vlive Dallas on Friday. TMZ, says Future dropped $21,000 in just a few hours at the nightclub. Another source says Future is over their relationship, and that he just wants Wilson to be careful of taking his step-daddy duties to the extreme. It sounds like Future wants Russell to take a backseat to his father duties.

Kanye West May Get His Chance To Help The Clippers

Although it’s hard to tell by his Yeezy collection of homeless chic, Kanye West actually claims to take his side career in fashion pretty seriously. Ye now wants to take a shot at redesigning sports mascots. Kanye reached out to L.A. Clippers owner Steve Ballmer about redesigning the Clippers mascot. The Mascot isn’t here for Kanye’s vision as he tweeted,

“I miss the old Kanye.”

It looks like Kanye may get his shot at changing the mascot as Ballmer said he loves Kanye’s creativity and invited Ye to talk over a Clippers game. What do you imagine the newly designed Kanye version will look like?

Azealia Banks Takes More Shots At Rihanna & K. Michelle

Photos via Rihanna and Azealia Banks’ Instagram

If Azealia Banks talked shhh all day on social media while simultaneously putting out great music, people might actually let her slide. Well, she doesn’t, so people kill her on the net daily. Azealia’s latest antics include taking more shots at Rihanna and K. Michelle. Azealia commented on Rihanna’s tour performances saying how awful they have been. In one segment Rihanna attempts a style of dancing called Voguing. Azealia commented that she’d seen twigs Vogue better. She also told a fan that K. Michelle is the reason why all of her touring and gigs have been cancelled. She says,

“F*cking around with that bird b*tch put me in a horrible position with my fans and promoters.”

Azealia’s main beef with Rihanna stems from the fact that she believes Ri has such a huge platform but is lazy and complacent with her craft. While RiRi is a bad gal, Azealia, for once, may be right about these ‘ANTI’ tour performances. They haven’t been anything to rave over. What are your thoughts?

Homicide Case Of Future’s Former Bodyguard Takes A Turn

(AllHipHop News) According to reports from New York’s PIX11, a man wanted for a homicide warrant in Georgia has been arrested for the murder of Future’s former bodyguard.

Tywan Porter was arrested in Manhattan at a grocery store and is accused of shooting 27 year old Michael “Big Mike” Phillips, an expecting father in late January of this year.

Phillips wife was also at the Jonesboro, GA home during the murder as the two were prepping for a baby shower and had been married just 8 months earlier in the Dominican Republic.

“Some of the neighbors heard some arguing and some gunshots. We are still interviewing them and trying to piece together what happened,” Lt. Frank Thomas of the Clayton County Police Department told Atlanta’s Fox 5.

Members of the Purple Reign rapper’s team said that back in 2011 Future and Phillips “ended their professional relationship,” as reported back in January.

Throughout the search for the accused, Future was reportedly uncooperative with police in their investigation

Just after Big Mike was murdered Future sent out a Tweet in support of his slain former bodyguard (see below).

More on this as news develops.

Jeezy And Big Boi Score Baptist Soap Opera ‘Saints & Sinners’

(AllHipHop News) With his Church in These Streets project out and as the Snowman works on another project, Jeezy has teamed up with the Saints & Sinners soap opera/drama to score a song for the soundtrack.

In addition to Jeezy’s song, Big Boi from Outkast fame takes his hand at making music with a Gospel tinge.

The show is centered around a Southern Baptist church and it’s community caught up in a murder mystery.

As the show carries on we learn of characters that endure a world of crime, lust, deceit and greed.

“At Greater Hop Baptist Church only God and the Devil can tell the difference between a saint or a sinner,” reads the tagline for the new Bounce TV show.

Jeezy’s song called “Gotta Be A Man” talks about getting up early to get paper and fighting the temptations of alcohol and weed while not losing his faith, even though every once in a while he “loses his religion.”

Another song on the project by Deitrick Haddon and Big Boi is a remix to the song “Sinners (Saved By Grace).”

The song talks about keeping faith in God and how everyone has a different path to the righteousness.

Big Boi talks about being nervous in church as a kid, while Deitrick sings about being the son of a preacher and how the “devil is a lie.”

In addition to Jeezy and Big Boi, Christian focused rapper Lecrae also joins the soundtrack.

Sinners & Saints airs on Sundays 9/8 CST and recently just aired Episode 3.

Drug Deal Or No Deal: Uber Driver Kicks Passengers Out After Witnessing Drug Exchange

What to do when you’re not on wheels and need a ride to handle some extralegal matters? Don’t call Uber– that’s for sure.

This Uber driver was not having it when he transported four men in what he thought was a trip for one of them to pick up a pair of keys.

The video shows the driver stopping at an obscure location and ask the passengers, “So we’re waiting for somebody to ride with us?” The man who does the exchange in the backseat responds with, “No, I’m getting some keys.”

Unfortunately enough, the Uber driver’s idea of keys were somewhat different than what the passenger had in mind.

10 Things You Should NEVER Do While Performing

Let me paint a picture for you. I was born and raised in N.Y.C. – Brooklyn to be exact. That means I live in a city that folks all across the world travel to get to and get to see things that most have to pay money for. That’s the mind state I was in when I walked into Webster Hall in Union Square. Because, you know, there’s nothing quite like the idea that you’re wasting your life to make you hop a train on a Wednesday night to check some Hip-Hop. A gang of hungry artists opening, a G.O.O.D. artist in Desiigner for a headliner…What could go wrong?

What I got was definitely entertaining… but not the kind I was expecting. I walked in, found a spot to post up and after the show started, came face to face with non-stop mistakes, bloopers, blunders and levels of fuckery that, much like a car accident, was gruesome as hell but I couldn’t look away from.

I did what any faced with an unending show man would do… I tweeted through it.

And welp, hundreds of RT’s and a 20 second clip later, I stumbled in the door, turned on the computer and came up with this list. Ladies and gentlemen… 10 Things no rapper should EVER do at a live show.

1) NEVER go on stage without a plan.

There was a brother performing named Yung Nate (@YungNate) who put on a hell of a show. How did he do it though? Strippers? Magic? Special effects? Nope, he just used this thing called rehearsal. And because of it, he was able to rock the crowd and keep the energy going because there was no reason to turn to the DJ, while on the mic, and asking what song was coming up next. It would take you one session to write them down or work out cues. And when the songs come up? Make sure you…

2) NEVER run out of breath on the mic.

It’s the A-1 sign of a rookie. If you’re performing in front of a paying crowd, they deserve a clean performance. You should have run through it enough to know the places where you’ll need to take a breath. With that in mind, you should….

3) NEVER perform a song you haven’t memorized.

I’m not saying it doesn’t happen to the best of them, but you shouldn’t be a crutch. If you can’t take the time to learn your OWN SONG, Why the hell should anyone else try to? If this is what you want to do for a living, you literally have nothing better to do. Unfortunately, lazy/wack rappers would rather look for a way out than put in the work. Which leads us to another cheap trick for lames…

4) NEVER rap over the vocal track.

If you’re a little behind, a little ahead, a little louder, a little quieter, if you don’t completely sync up with the vocals on the track, your rhymes will sound like s### on a stick. Spoiler alert? You’re never ever going o sync up with it completely. You also leave yourself zero wiggle room during the flow which is another problem if you wan to get creative and switch up a line or freestyle about a chick in the crowd or a label exec that’s watching. Of course you can eliminate the need for back up vocals with a good hype man. But if you’ve got one, make sure the two of you…

5) NEVER talk over each other on the mic.

You decide to address the crowd in between songs. But while you’re setting up the next record, your hype-man is asking which hood is in the house, or if the ladies run the club or where all the real n##### are or anything else to make you both sound and look like a couple of unorganized A#######. Any crowd they came to be entertained is pretty much going to tune you both out… probably by talking amongst themselves… and wishing you’d both S###. One sure way to avoid that…

6) NEVER have a hype man that wants to be the star.

The job of a hype man is to amplify your performance, provide some fun back and forth and make sure the light on you doesn’t dull. Not take over the middle of the stage, keep the louder mic and basically battle you for YOUR set. The second it feels more like a competition than cooperation? GET RID OF HIM. It’s not a matter of ego, it’s a matter of fact. There can only be ONE star on stage. Speaking of which…

7) NEVER have as many dudes on stage as there are in the crowd.

Remember rule number six? Yeah, multiply that times the Million Man March. If you need more than one hype-man and your DJ, you are NOT ready. You’re supposed to move the crowd, be the microphone controller… MC, get it? YOUR skills are supposed to get the crowd amped up. Nothing else. And with that in mind…

8) NEVER use the name of the headliner to get you applause.

@KadeemKing_ had no problem getting the people to cheer him on. In fact he was so focused on getting his own applause that night, he never once shouted out the headliner. But if the only time the audience cheers for you is when you shout out the guy you’re opening for? You’re failing miserably and everybody knows it. There’s nothing lamer than hearing “Who’s ready to see (Insert headliner here) tonight??” only to have you do one more non-applaudable song. But basically, all of these rules can be summed up by one thing…

9) NEVER EVER treat the crowd as if they owe you something.

Nobody got dressed, came out, stood on a line and paid good money to marvel at how fly you are, listen to your war stories or watch you enjoy yourself. They came to this venue be entertained by you. You owe them your best effort. You owe them all your energy, your professionalism, your respect and your gratitude. And so does the stage. By the way…

10) NEVER go on tour with ONLY ONE SONG TO PERFORM.

Crunchy Black Talks Making Positive Music After Prison Stint & Possible Three 6 Mafia Reunion

(AllHipHop News) Nearly one year ago, Crunchy Black was arrested for meth possession. The Three 6 Mafia representative later pled guilty to a misdemeanor drug charge and served several months behind bars. Black is now free, and the 41-year-old Memphis-bred rapper spoke with The Shade Room about his post-prison life.

“Probation is keeping me away from drugs and I’m working on my label which is called HHMG,” said Black. “The kids will get to hear more a little positivity in my new music.”

Prior to Black being locked up, Three 6 Mafia split. Several of the members reformed as Da Mafia 6ix and released the mixtape 6iX Commandments. Since that time, both Lord Infamous and Koopsta Knicca passed away. But does Crunchy Black see the surviving Triple 6 members coming back together for another run?

“I’m praying that we can do some new music together soon,” added Black. “Juicy is busy doing his thing and if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be where I am now, but hopefully we can do a song this year. Shout out to DJ Paul as well.”

Lil Wayne Talks Starring In Super Bowl & Samsung Commercials

(AllHipHop News) Thanks to his advertising spot with Apartments.com, Lil Wayne shined as one of the biggest stars on Super Bowl Sunday. Weezy then continued his popular commercial streak by appearing in three much talked about ads for Samsung. Adweek spoke with Wayne about his recent turns as a commercial actor.

The Young Money leader mentioned his excitement to participate in more advertising. He hopes the success of the Apartments.com and Samsung commercials will lead to Madison Avenue reaching out for more opportunities to serve as a TV pitchman.

“I tried to do what they wanted me to do and not do Lil Wayne. I took that away from the situation and approached the scene as if I was just the guy that they chose to play this role,” said Wayne. “With that said, I did it that way because of course I could’ve approached it like I’m me and I’m going to say it how I want to say it and how my fans and what they’re expecting to see out of me and I didn’t do that. So I approached it like I want to do this [appear in ads] more so that whoever is watching would be able to say, ‘I like what he did and we could probably use him for this.'”

Wayne especially took pride in starring in a commercial that ran during the Super Bowl. The self-professed die-hard sports fanatic was able to reach an audience of over 100 million people tuned into the big game.

“That was dope. That was the illest idea ever. You know everybody watches the Super Bowl,” stated the “Lollipop” performer. “I know people who don’t even know what football is and they’re going to watch the Super Bowl for the commercials and for me to be involved in that, if I can’t perform at halftime then I’m going to be in commercials.”

The recent rise of Lil Wayne as the face of consumer products on the small screen comes after PepsiCo cut ties with him in 2013 over perceived offensive lyrics. Wayne’s lines about the late Emmett Till on Future’s “Karate Chop (Remix)” led to the end of his association with Mountain Dew. After the controversy, Wayne pledged to be careful on what he raps about.

Consequence Addresses Rhymefest’s Criticism Of Kanye West (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Rhymefest and Consequence were among the earliest affiliates of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Consequence also separated from Kanye at one point, but the Queens rapper was able to settle the differences with his former boss. The Breakfast Club spoke with Con about his history with West and Rhymefest’s decision to air out his issues.

“As far as Rhymefest is concerned, my thing is this – everybody’s principality is different. I know for a fact that I’m not a hypocrite. I can’t speak for anyone else,” said Consequence. “When I wasn’t on that, I wasn’t on that. Could a dollar have fixed that? Yes, with the right dialogue. Our dialogue is what fixed me and Kanye.”

Angela Yee later asked Consequence about Kanye’s reported meltdown at Saturday Night Live. Quence was actually at SNL that night.

“When he’s saying, ‘Yo, let’s get it,’ it’s me and him talking. That’s super bogus. I haven’t been around long enough to be a yes-man or a no-man. I’m just a man, and I’m going to call it 100,” added Con. “That wasn’t a meltdown, because he still did it. A meltdown would have been, ‘I’m leaving. I’m irrational. You can’t talk to me. You can’t talk to management. I’m not listening to anybody.'”

Young Thug Disses Rich Homie Quan Again During Concert (VIDEO)

“F*ck Rich Homie,” Thug can be heard telling the crowd at The Observatory.

This is not the first time Thug and Quan have attacked each other in public. In December, RHQ told a male fan during one of his shows, “I don’t fck with no fckin’ f*gs… looking like Young Thug.”

That moment came after Thugger referred to his “Lifestyle” collaborator as “b*tch homie Quan”. Before the conflict began, the pair worked closely together as members of Rich Gang.

A fight broke out during the duo’s set, and footage shows a person on stage then began shooting inside the venue. It has not been confirmed what started the scuffle, which individual had the gun, or if anyone was injured. However, there are reports that someone tried to snatch either Lucci or Cinco’s chain.

Lucci is an affiliate with TIG Records, the label home of Rich Homie Quan. There have been several violent encounters during Quan shows in the past. Cinco is connected to Quality Control, label home to Migos. The Migos have been involved in shootings as well.

The Little Rock shooting follows DMV rapper Shy Glizzy’s chain reportedly getting snatched during a trip to Memphis in December. In addition, fellow Atlanta performer Bankroll Fresh was recently shot and killed in his hometown.

There is no evidence to suggest any of these incidents are related.

Sarah Palin Want To Use N-Word At Trump Speech, Says Thuggery Instead

Sara Palin is back with all of her glorious f**kery. The Donald Trump precursor showed exactly how much class she had at a recent event bolstering her buddy. Sarah uses the code word for “n*gga” by evoking the word “thuggery.”

“We don’t have time for all that petty, punk-ass little thuggery stuff that’s been going on with these ‘protesters,’ who are doing nothing but wasting your time and trying to take away your First Amendment rights,” she said. “And the media being on the thugs’ side—what the heck are you guys thinking, media?”

White Boy Curses Out Cops And Tells Black Cop “You Not A Real N***a!”

This is what white privilege looks like. A white kid in the Chicago suburb curses the hell out of the police in a drunken rage and lives to tell the tale. He even calls an African American police a n***a – all the while recording the incident. The kid, who is in full knowledge of his rights, seemingly does this brazen act in front of is care takers or some other elders (“Kevin”). What is even more odd is he showed a wounded hand, what would likely be considered probably cause, after the officers were looking for evidence in a crime. We’re thinking if this was a person of color, he would certainly be a casualty and a hashtag. What do you think?

Officer Carver is p##### that she can’t light his ass up – allegedly! Seriously, is this funny or just ignorant.

LL Cool J Comes Out Of Retirement

(AllHipHop News) LL Cool J has officially come out of retirement and a recent well-received freestyle seems to be the culprit.

The veteran rapper dropped a verse on Dr. Dre’s Beats 1 show, The Pharmacy and over 4 million view later, he made the announcement.

“Today I’m officially coming out of retirement. And starting a new album .. studio time is set for 8pm.. I’m gonna massacre the rap game!!!,” Uncle L said on Twitter.

The 48-year-old last dropped Authentic in 2013, which was a somewhat experimental venture. Since, LL has continued to expand his brand as an actor and has hosted the Grammys five years in a row.
