Hip-Hop Rumors: Its Official : Drake and Rihanna Are An Item…

Hip-Hop Rumors: Its Official : Drake and Rihanna Are An Item…

Drake is living the life of a playboy for real. Dude has been linked to so many chicks, its crazy. But, its being reported that he and Rihanna linked up for real in Paris. I don’t know if this is a case of the evil media blowing stuff up, but it sure seems like its the truth.

It seems like this happened at a club in Paris and they were oblivious to anything going on around them. Then, there was dinner in Parsi. And Drake DJ’d somewhere and she was there.

They also were at a concert too. Here is the footage.

I wonder what Zoe Kravitz is going to say.

Together again: Rihanna and Drake hit another French night spot together on Monday night

Vado: Police Caught Me Defrauding Checks Because I Fell Asleep In My Car (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Remember at the end of Notorious B.I.G.’s song “N*ggas Bleed” when those guys didn’t kill him because their Range Rover got towed? Vado has an equally as hilarious story of a time a quick cat nap in the back of his car ended up with him being arrested on check fraud.

At last Friday (February 21st) Take It Personal show, Vado told the sold out crowd about how he used a fake ID to fraudulently cash checks of up to $2,500. After sending a female accomplice into the same check cashing place he just robbed, Vado says an unexpected delay prompted him to take a quick cat nap. What followed was an unlucky discovery of his fake ID by the police but an even more luckier turn of events once he met with a judge to discuss his charges.

Check out Vado explain how a quick nap got him arrested and how being in jail kept him out of jail and the hilarious sketch accompanying it:

Oprah Will Produce Martin Luther King Jr Film “Selma”

(AllHipHop News) The race to make the definitive Martin Luther King motion picture of the 21st Century continues. Today (February 26th), Deadline reports that Oprah Winfrey has attached herself to an upcoming film inspired by Martin Luther King’s voting rights campaign.

According to reports, Ava Duvernay has been tapped to direct the film as well as rewrite the script and Paramount Pictures are currently seeking national distribution for the film. Lee Daniels was originally slated to direct the film back in 2010 until he was decided to direct The Butler instead due to Selma taking too long to acquire the requisite financing.

Selma will focus on King’s 1965 voting rights campaign which led to the August 6th 1965 enactment of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 by President Lyndon B Johnson. King’s campaign included three attempts at organizing a march from Selma, Alabama to Alabama’s state capital in Montgomery. The first two attempts were stopped by police and governmental interference with the first one occurring on March 7th, 1965, a date referred to as Bloody Sunday due to the police brutality on the protesters. The third attempt was successful on March 25th, 1965.

This is not the first Martin Luther King Jr biopic attempting to get off the ground. Oliver Stone recently left the production of the DreamWorks and Warner Bros Martin Luther King Jr biopic after his script rewrite was rejected. According to Stone, the great civil rights’ leader’s estate would not approve of his script.

No word on if Martin Luther King Jr’s estate has looked over the script for the Oprah Winfrey-produced Selma.

Newark, NJ Takes Stop-And-Frisk Crown From New York City

(AllHipHop News) As New York’s Mayor Bill DeBlasio dismantles the controversial stop and frisk policy in New York, Newark, NJ now has became the centerpiece of the racially biased practice, according to new reports.

The American Civil Liberties Union of NJ has dropped the bomb, claiming that Newark uses stop and frisk over 10 times more often than NYC.

This statistic means about 91 of 1,000 residents are shaken down and checked by authorities based solely on their race. Newark, NJ is about 75% African American.

Of those stopped and frisked, about 25% receive a summons or some other legal notice.

Udi Ofer, ACLU-NJ’s executive director, released a statement that outlined the the civic organization’s stance on the matter.

EXCLUSIVE: NY’s Mayor Bill de Blasio: “A Promise Kept: Ending the Stop-and-Frisk Era”

“Several disturbing patterns have emerged that raise constitutional red flags about the Newark Police Department’s stop-and-frisk practices. Specifically, our report raises concerns about the high volume of stops, racial disparities in who is getting stopped and the fact that the vast majority of stops appear to be of innocent people,” said Ofer.

Critics of the report state that Newark’s crime rate is considerably higher than New York, making the comparisons unfair.

Still, the ACLU holds firm that these findings are unjust.

“The U.S. Supreme Court made clear decades ago that under our Constitution, police are permitted to stop people only if they have individualized and reasonable suspicion of a crime,” said ACLU-NJ’s Ari Rosmarin. “When 75% of those stopped in Newark are innocent of any wrongdoing, it raises significant questions about what criteria officers are using when deciding to make a stop.”
