Hip-Hop Rumors: Joseline Hernandez Compares Herself to Olivia Pope

The cult of delusion is real when it comes to reality TV stars but the following comparison actually does have some parallels–not many but enough. Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta’s Joseline Hernandez took to Instagram to compare herself to Scandal’s Olivia Pope in an attempt to shade Mimi Faust. Peep game:

Joseline Hernandez

For those who are scratching their heads, Joseline and Mimi were caught up in a love triangle with Stevie J, who wanted to be with both of them. It all played out on camera as Mimi attempted to put up with Stevie because they have a daughter together but eventually got tired of the drama and left him alone.

Joseline was initially the side chick but now she’s actually the wife so I’m not sure why she’s holding on the side chick comparison. Furthermore, why is she so thirsty about low key antagonizing Mimi anyway?

Hip-Hip Rumors: Check Out Diddy’s Next Historic Goal!

Looks like Diddy is back with a vengeance. From a money point of view, he and Jay are at the top of the food chain with Dr. Dre. But, Jay and Diddy are more hustlers than the good doc, I think. So, Jay owned some of the Nets and eventually sold it. So, what is Diddy ready to do? Looks like Diddy wants to be the first African American to own a majority stake in an NFL team.

The Bad Boy mogul told Bloomberg TV his reasoning.

“I love sports, but I’m more of a owner type of guy, so I have aspirations to become — which it will happen — I will become the first African-American majority owner. Not having a small stake but actually owning an NFL team. I think it’s time for that. A majority of players that are in the NFL are African-American, but there are no African-American owners. So that’s one of my dreams. When I get the calls, ‘Well, we need to do Bad Boy Sports,’ I’m like, ‘No, that’s not my lane,'” Diddy said. “I stay in my lane. This is the lane that I want to do. And I’m just me; I do my own thing.”

Interesting and I think he can do it. He just launched Revolt TV. I’m wondering what the financial backing on that is like. I don’t see him coming out of pocket from his estimated $580 million he’s worth.

Boy Sues NYPD For Arresting Him For Trying To Dress Like Juelz Santana

(AllHipHop News) “Swag” is very costly, especially when you factor in racial perceptions of wealth, stop-and-frisk mentalities and Juelz Santana. According to The New York Daily News cover story, 19 year old African American teen Trayon Christian was arrested by NYPD police officers after purchasing a $350 Ferragamo belt from Barney’s.

On the afternoon of the incident (April 29th), Christian told The New York Daily News that his paycheck from his work-study job at his school the New York City College of Technology had been deposited into his account. Christian later purchased the belt with his debit card with no complications.

Christian maintains that after purchasing the belt, police stopped the young man claiming that someone at Barney called the officers to report the debit card. Without much evidence other than alleged Barney’s accusations, the police officers arrested Christian and took him to the 19th Precinct, but not before the officers had their own interrogation:

The detectives were asking me, ‘How could you afford a belt like this? Where did you get this money from?’

According to the article, Christian had his eyes on the expensive belt for a while after seeing it on numerous celebrities, including one of his favorites, Juelz Santana.

Christian did not waste time with giving Barneys a taste of his mind:

I brought the belt back to Barneys a few days later and returned it. I got my money back, I’m not shopping there again. It’s cruel. It’s racist.

The NYPD has already denied one of Trayon’s claims, that he was detained for two hours. NYPD spokeswoman Kim Royster claimed “Mr. Christian was held in police custody for approximately 42 minutes and as soon as we determined that the card was authentic, he was immediately released.”

Christian is suing the NYPD and Barneys for unspecified damages.

WTF News: 14-Year-Old Accused of Killing His Math Teacher

Once again I ask, what the hell is going on with Gen Y?

A Massachusetts high school student was accused of killing his math teacher, whose body was found in the woods behind the school. The body of Colleen Ritzer, 24, of Andover, Mass. was found in a wooded area near Danvers High School early Wednesday, and the boy will be arraigned on a murder charge, according to authorities.

Via Huffington Post:

Police started investigating after Ritzer was reported missing late Tuesday night because she had not returned home from work and was not answering her cellphone. Investigators found blood in a second-floor school bathroom and soon located the victim, he said. He did not say how Ritzer died.

“She was a very, very respected, loved teacher,” Blodgett said, calling the killing a “terrible tragedy.”

The boy also was reported missing Tuesday after not coming home from school. He was spotted walking along a road in neighboring Topsfield at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

His name was not made public because of his age. He faces arraignment Wednesday in juvenile court, where proceedings are closed to the public.

Ritzer had a Twitter account where she gave homework assignments, encouraged students and described herself as a “math teacher often too excited about the topics I’m teaching.”

There is no reason to believe anyone else was involved and there is no public safety danger, Blodgett said.

Ritzer is the second teacher allegedly killed by a student in the U.S. this week. A Nevada middle school teacher was allegedly shot by a 12-year-old student on Monday.

Hip-Hip Rumors: 2 Chainz Sex Tape?

Hopefully, this dude was only kidding, but 2 Chainz claims he plans to put out a sex tape one day. In an interview with Playboy, he said that it may be contingent on the amount of money he has. But, I don’t believe this is going to work the same way it worked for Kim Kardashian.

“I want to put out a sex tape in the next five to 10 years and reap all the benefits in case I spend my hard-earned rap money doing boneheaded activities.”

And guess who he would like to be his co-star?

Ja Rule Preparing Cookbook on Microwave Recipes From His Prison Life (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Ja Rule is turning the old adage “making something out of nothing” into an instructional manual on how to cook hearty meals with limited resources. Thanks the limited resource offered to Ja Rule while in prison, the Murda Inc rapper announced that he is writing a cookbook based on the

Ja announced the as-of-yet untitled cookbook on Geoffrey Zakarian’s SiriusXM show, “Food Talk” and explained how the recipes will be mostly microwave-based.

Speaking with TMZ, Rule also spoke on the food in prison and his creative ways of making it bearable  which ultimately led to him creating this cookbook:

[The food inside] is not too good but you get packages and stuff like that. You can eat pretty good. You can eat decent enough. I ate everything. In jail, they’re pretty crafty. We made lasagna, we made cheesecakes, we had lots of things. I really didn’t eat prison food.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Kanye West’s Proposal Coming to Kardashian TV Soon

Kanye West went all out for his proposal to Kim Kardashian because he is over-the-top but it might also be because cameras were rolling for Keeping up With the Kardashians. Kanye hasn’t been on the show much because he isn’t a fan of putting his personal life out there and Kim claims she won’t be on the show as much next season (yeah right) but this engagement was probably one instance where we will see the whole event unfold on E!.

TMZ caught up with a member of the orchestra from that night, who says there were multiple cameras rolling for the event. Kanye is said to have final approval on whether it gets to air on the show or not but that Kris Jenner hand is strong. We’ll probably be seeing it plus extra footage next season.

Eminem: The Marshall Mathers LP 2 Is Not ‘Necessarily’ A Sequel

(AllHipHop News) A week after the original The Marshall Mathers LP  was released on May 23rd, the album had broken the still untouched single week record for most sales at 1.71 million. It is safe to say that naming an album the Part 2 of such a colossal opus will lead to high expectations, which Eminem fully addresses in a snippet of his upcoming interview with Rolling Stone.

In the interview, Em acknowledges the high expectations he placed on this album given the title and says this is the hardest he’s ever worked in his life:

Calling it The Marshall Mathers LP 2, obviously I knew that there might be certain expectation. I wouldn’t want to call it that just for the sake of calling it that. I had to make sure that I had the right songs – and just when you think you got it, you listen and you’re like, ‘F###, man! I feel like it needs this or that,’ to paint the whole picture.

While the 41 year old MC admits his name choice has warranted fans to anticipate a continuation of The Marshall Mathers LP, he wants it to be clear that this album is  more of an homage than a continuation:

So there’s not gonna be, like, continuations of every old song on there or anything like that. To me, it’s more about the vibe, and it’s more about the nostalgia.

The full interview will appear in the upcoming Rolling Stone issue out on November 7th.

Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2 will be in stores on November 5th.

5 And Done: Tito Lopez Talks Salvation, Social Issues, Suicide and More!

Enhanced by Gulfport, Mississippi life-lessons, Tito Lopez, continues to speak for society’s underdogs. His cathartic pen catalogues the human experience. While other rappers, enslaved to the puppet show, continue to spew lyrical fallacies, Tito, masters the actual art of Hip-Hop. Delivering poignant messages sans a soapbox an appreciative audience steadily multiplies. Having cultivated a more carefree perspective, he is striving to become the number one narrator. AllHipHop.com delivers another intriguing exclusive interview as it delves into the mind of Tito Lopez!

AllHipHop.com: When I heard Trae on the track I knew you were doing something right. How did you meet him?

Tito Lopez: Man, Trae—just let me say salute—that’s one of the realest n*ggas in the game, 100. I met Trae when I was in Houston at T.I.’s listening party for that Trouble Man album.  Shout out to Tip, too. He’s somebody who supported from the start. If you look on my Instagram I got three of four pictures with Tip, because I kept running into him at different places; he always shows love. He invited us to the listening party. We was in there, and you know Trae is on Hustle Gang, Grand Hustle. So, of course he was there, and Slim Thug was there. I had just got off tour with him. We was just in there chilling. I had never met Trae—I had bumped into him in the hallway—I just went to say respect, because that’s the type of sh*t that I grew up on. Especially in the South, there’s so many unsung heroes in the South. Scarface deserves more credit than what he got. You know, UGK, Goodie Mob—Trae is one of them Southern really respected ni**as.

So, when I went to salute him, he told me that he already fu**ed with what I’m doing… We swapped numbers right there. He said, ‘Hit me anytime you want me to jump on a song.’ I said, okay.  I went  back to the crib and made “Diamonds & Whips.”  I said, I got one for you, I sent it to him. No, lie, this is 100. Trae had the flu—fu** texting—he called me and said, ‘I got the flu, do you want a 12 or a 16?’ I said, let me get a 16. He said, ‘I’m about to go get some Robitussin and when I get back I’m going to spit this verse.’ That’s on the Bible, those are the words he said to me. He got back and sent me the verse in 30 minutes; he murdered it. I was like, this is powerful here.  We’re going to have to put this out. Shout out to Trae, one of the realest ni**as I ever met.

AllHipHop.com:  According to Antonio Lopez Mouring, what’s the most pressing social issue that America is facing; how is this issue reflected through Hip-Hop?

Tito Lopez: The most pressing social issue is—this ain’t no bullsh*t, there’s a lot of them—me and my man was just talking about how they don’t legalize weed. It helps a whole lot of problems you got, sickness and sh*t like that. In the world, the fact is all these pharmacies are the biggest drug dealers. I’m not into politics, I can’t lie, I’m not big on it; it’s all lies to me. Socially, it’s the desensitized nation. The fact of the matter is, that nobody ain’t understanding that with everyone has been scapegoating the same bullsh*t for the longest. And that’s Rap and so-called gangsters. That’s the least damaging to all these kids out here.

As Black folks, I’m saying we’re the most desensitized on everything. Ain’t nobody really speaking on it. When they do speak on, you were asking how it’s depicted in Rap—it’s really not. Because as soon as you talk about, after two seconds, n*ggas are like, ‘I don’t want to hear that sh*t.’ If you say anything beside, ‘this party, turn up, or have fun,’ that sh*t is considered preaching. The thing is ain’t nobody want to hear it. The thing is, if you’re struggling so muthaf*cking much, that you don’t haven’t to hear it. The fact of the matter is, all these n*ggas forget that—let’s just say, Pac; or, somebody came out today and put out “Brenda’s Got A Baby,” or “Keep Ya Head Up,” they wouldn’t get no play…

It’s perfect for me to say that instead of some politic issue about government and bullsh*t. we’re talking about society. The fact of the matter is, as Black folks we’ve lost our whole radicalness. Think back to the L.A. Riots when n*ggas was blowing sh*t up in ’92. Over my man getting stomped out, Rodney King. Nobody started no damn riot over Trayvon Martin. All that n*ggas do is talk about that sh*t for a week. The next week we forget about it. We walk around with a bunch of hoods on like that’s going to do sh*t. And if I was out there right now and picked up a brick and threw it through a window; or, said ‘Let’s start up a riot!’ Ain’t nobody gonna do nothing but pull out a cell phone and send it to WorldStar[HipHop.com] and try to record me.

AllHipHop.com: In the past you’ve stated your appreciate for Nirvana’s work. What’s your stance on writer’s block, and suicide?

Tito Lopez: What’s crazy is I used to always say I’d never get writer’s block. I never really did, because I’m just speaking on my life… But now I know that’s bullsh*t. I got writer’s block towards the end of last year. I had a whirlwind year, I was going everywhere. And I just think it’s good to get writer’s block at sometimes. That just means that you’re searching for more things to search about. If you’re a real artist, you get tired of hearing the same sh*t. Even me, I get to looking at my music sometimes and I’m like, ‘Okay, this is dope, but let’s go back to being relatable.’ …I think you should accept it. When you got writer’s block that’s just Him telling you—Him being God—‘Just relax, you’ve did a lot, chill out.’ Watch what’s around you then put it out.

I used to be suicidal when I was like 17. That’s why I could always relate to that—Kurt Cobain—and sh*t like that because that was me at my lowest point. And when you don’t want to be here no more, there’s not much that can be said. A lot times, my car us broke down, I got this going on. When you don’t want to be here you don’t give no fu*k about a car. You don’t even want to be walking here. Every step that you take when you’re walking it’s pain. You’re just going further into sh*t that you already want to get done with.

I’ve realized that my stance on suicide is that it’s never the option. Somebody loves you out there, somewhere. That’s the reason why I crusade so much through my music. This is my voice, you know what I’m saying. This is what makes me feel like I am somebody. When I’m stepping off stage and they’re chanting Tito. Which they’ve done a bunch of times at my shows, I feel like somebody, I can’t let it go. It’s like a drug; so, I I’m glad that I didn’t choose that route. But a lot of people have done it have me wondering where they could have been. That’s not just with suicide, with getting killed you wonder, how far they could have gone.

AllHipHop.com: Until the next time, what would you like to share with your supporters?

Tito Lopez: …Spread the word, because half this sh*t is word-of-mouth. Sh*t has been dope for years, but until everyone starts talking — 80% of the work is just bandwagon-riding, because everybody else is really jumping on it. All you got to do is spread the word and I’m going to be here. For my supporters, go download that Y.O.U. mixtape. It’s really an album because it’s all original.  You know, just f**k with your boy. I’m coming with all new energy; new everything this year. I never felt like nothing can be told to me like I can’t do something.

So, when I’m coming out and putting out music and performing my songs and seeing people saying, ‘Nothing, but respect.’ This really got me through these times because people are crying to me that, ‘I relate to that underdog sh*t.’ I’m doing something right, whether a motherf**ker sees it or not that’s they problem. I ain’t going nowhere. Let that music play. Music and talent overrides all that bullsh*t. The It-factor, the intangibles, and all that sh*t—killing kids dreams on all these f**king TV shows, because they feel like they ain’t pretty enough, or ain’t skinny enough to do what they want to do. Talent overrides all that bullsh*t. Just make sure your sh*t is dope and focus on your craft. When it’s jamming they can’t deny it. That’s what I got to say to all my underdogs. My underdogs is my fans, my people; so, shout out to them!
