Justin Timberlake Hints At Collab W/ Timbaland & Pharrell + New Pharrell Album

(AllHipHop News) One truth has hurt music fans across the world for over 5 years. Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams have not worked together since Justin’s 2002 debut Justified. All of that may change and then some according to Timberlake himself during a recent interview at Kiss FM UK.

Justin says that him and Pharrell have worked together on an untitled upcoming Pharrell solo album. But, as it has been true since 2006, wherever Justin goes, Timbaland is never far behind. According to Timberlake, the two Virginia beat legends have collaborated with him on a possible track.

Justin also spoke on why him and Kanye West have now worked on music yet:

We just never spent that much face time. To me, I’m not the type to force any collaboration. Any of the stuff that Jay and i have done that have come out in the past year is because we were hanging out in the studio together. I can totally see if we get that time together to hang, play music and explore an avenue to walk down musically then why not? It seems like it should happen, in my opinion.

J.Cole, Tony Rock at Hennessy V.S WDMC Afterparty

Over the weekend in Chicago, ROC Nation rappers J.Cole and Wale brought their WDMC tour to the Arie Crown Theater and rocked the crowd out. After the concert, J.Cole headed over to the Hennessy V.S party at Chicago hot spot, Bodi, where he was spotted chatting it up with Tone Kapone from the Power 92, Hot Boyz radio show. Shortly after he arrived, J.Cole and his crew were greeted with a Hennessy bottle parade. J Cole stayed and rocked out with the crowd for about two hours. Comedian and new Apollo host Tony Rock was also spotted at the event.

Drake Confirms Wu-Tang Collab, Upcoming Video; Plans To Drop More New Music

(AllHipHop News) It is officially Drizzy season as Drake prepares to release his third studio album Nothing Was The Same on Tuesday. To rep up talk about the LP, the Young Money emcee sat down with Elliott Wilson for his CRWN interview series.

According to reports, during the Q&A Drake confirmed that he teamed up with members of the Wu-Tang Clan for a collaboration to drop in the near future. The singer/rapper also revealed that a video for his latest single “Hold On, We’re Coming Home” will hit the net sometime this week.

Drake also reportedly told the crowd that portions of his song “Pound Cake” were originally supposed to appear on Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail, and while he respects Kendrick Lamar he sees Kanye West as his only competition.

A version of NWTS leaked earlier, but Drake announced on Instagram that he has more tracks in the chamber that were apparently produced by Hit-Boy. He posted a photo with the headline “Wait …Drake Still has More Songs To Drop??” which included the caption “Wait on it. @hitboy87.”

Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, French Montana, SchoolBoy Q & Jay Rock To Perform At BET Hip Hop Awards

(AllHipHop News) BET has announced the first confirmed performers for the 2013 edition of their annual Hip Hop Awards. Black Hippy members Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, and Jay Rock will be among the artists hitting the stage for the event. Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz will also perform as well as Bad Boy recording artist French Montana.

Along with performances during the show, viewers will get to see some of the biggest stars in rap music join with some of the hottest buzzing underground talent for the BET Cyphers. That night Hip Hop legend MC Lyte will also be honored with the “I Am Hip Hop Award.”

The BET Hip Hop Awards, hosted by Snoop Dogg, will air October 15th at 8 pm.

J. Cole Hints At Another Collaboration With TLC

(AllHipHop News) J. Cole was able to get a huge collaboration for his sophomore album Born Sinner. The Fayetteville, North Carolina native tapped superstar girl group TLC for his “Crooked Smile’ track, and while speaking with Billboard at the iHeartRadio Music Festival Cole says he has plans to work with surviving members Chilli and T-Boz again for their upcoming comeback LP.

“Depending on how these songs turn out, I got some production on their album that they’re doing,” reveals Cole. “I’m definitely going to be on the album somewhere.”

Cole goes on to talk about his hope that Born Sinner reaches platinum status and his inspiration for the project and the title of his current tour “What Dreams May Come.” The Roc Nation emcee also wants fans to know he will be hitting the New York City area during the trek at some point.

Gucci Mane Returns To Twitter To Apologize & Admit Drug Use

(AllHipHop News) Gucci Mane’s social media rant against numerous people in the industry left many questioning the rapper’s mental health. His former protégé Waka Flocka even suggested that Gucci “lost his noodles” and “needs medical attention.”

Gucci later deleted his Twitter, but the “Wasted” performer’s account was re-activated recently. A series of tweets were sent out that offered apologies to his family, friends, and fans. Birdman, Rick Ross, and Drake were mentioned by name during the mea culpa. Gucci also admits to being addicted to “lean” and reveals that he will be joining rehab once he is released from jail.

Gay Rapper Emerges? Not So Fast!

I’m way late on this so I’m tucking it away today on Sunday.

In the Bay area, there is a very successful indie rapper named Kafani, who is a part of the Thizz Nation. Honestly, I don’t know his work like that, but I’m learning some stuff that I probably shouldn’t. Namely, there is a rumor that Kafani is a gay rapper. Now, straight up, he’s denied this so I don’t want to try and put him under the buss or anything. But, there’s more to this. His ex-girlfriend was sent pictures from a dude that claims to be Kafani’s lover. Anyway,the gay man that claimed Kafani as his former love interest said that the Oakland rapper is lying to the fan by hiding his true identity. Something about unveiling hiding Hip-Hop alleged gays is catching on. So, jumping on board, Kafani’s ex girlfriend posted the pictures on Instagram, effectively putting him on blast.

Kafani’s ex-girl apparently tried to fall back from the situation pointing the finger to the gay lover. She did say she gave the gay guy the password to Kafani’s Instagram. But, why would Kafani be giving his girl his password anyway? Anyway, that’s not important.

The creative has chronicled her pregnancy through social media, inviting fans and followers into her life.

Her revelation was no different.

She made the announcement on Twitter the day after having her baby, Desmond, earlier this week.

The father of the boy is DJ Two Stacks and they are reportedly ecstatic at the news.

Ex-Fugee Pras Sues Over Lost Studio Time

(AllHipHop News) Pras, of The Fugees fame, is suing a Los Angeles recording studio because they allegedly swindled him in over $5,000 in money designated for studio time.

Pras scheduled time to record music in the Hollywood studio of Jason Gluz and Chasen Spellman, but says he never got to record there since they double booked the time.

According to TMZ, the Pras paid $5,600 to rent the studio, but never got a refund on his money. Furthermore, Pras charged in a lawsuit that he also shelled out money for hotel and airfare.

He’s now suing the pair for $9,000 in small claims court, in a suit that was filed in Los Angeles county.

Rick Ross Opens New Wingstop Location

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Rick Ross continues his expansion into the restaurant business, with the opening of a new Wingstop location.

Rick Ross has taken ownership of the Deerfield Beach, Florida Wingstop and the rapper now operates four locations.

In addition to the Deerfield, Beach location, Rick Ross also owns two Wingstop locations in Memphis, Tennessee and another in his hometown of Miami, Florida.

“We’re excited about the new team and welcoming fans back to this great location,” said Maybach Music Group CEO Rick Ross.

Today (September 21) the Wingstop location will be giving away free made-to-order wings from 1 to 6 PM.

“Offering free wings for guests is a great way to reintroduce Wingstop to the community and thank fans for making us part of the neighborhood,” Rick Ross said.

Rick Ross is currently preparing the release of his upcoming album Mastermind. He is embarking on an 8-city tour in support of the album this November.

The news comes as Rick Ross and his Maybach Music crew celebrate Maybach Music Weekend in Miami.

Common Wants Hip Hop Artists To Help Stop Chicago Violence

(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop artist and actor Common is speaking out against the overwhelming violence that has consumed his hometown of Chicago. Speaking with the Associated Press, Common suggests that a “peace summit” with fellow Chi-town rapper Chief Keef is a necessary first step to curb the violent crimes happening in the city.

Chief Keef has become one of the public faces to the Chicago violence in the mainstream press because of the references to gun violence in his music and his several run-ins with the law. Common makes the points that rap music is not the root cause of the violence, but the music does impact the minds of young people.

“To decide to take someone’s life, I don’t think they let a rap song determine that,” said Common, but then adds that the youth are “influenced by that energy and take it the wrong way.”

The “Ghetto Dreams” rhymer offers that more educational programs would play an important part in turning around the current state of violence perpetrated by some young people. He believes that Hip Hop artists should play a greater role in making these changes happen.

Common has already began taking a personal stance to help underprivileged youth with his Common Ground Foundation. The CGF provides programs such as the Dreamers & Believers Summer Youth Camp and a mentoring program for public school students in Chicago. A benefit concert for the non-profit organization was held last night (9/20) at Chicago’s House of Blues.

On the Common Ground Foundation Common wrote:

I started the Common Ground Foundation because I wanted to help. Most of all help people to help themselves. Give the children a sense of hope, self-esteem, and love that will better the world…I think making a difference in the lives of others is life’s greatest purpose. I walk this path with faith knowing that the Common Ground Foundation will Change the World.

Hot 97's Ebro Darden Discusses Mister Cee's Sexual Revelation

(AllHipHop News) Last week Hot 97 DJ Mister Cee finally admitted on the air that he had engaged in sexual acts with transsexuals, and members of the Hip Hop community began to discuss how this admission would impact not only Cee’s career but also homophobia in Hip Hop.

Hot 97’s program director Ebro Darden recently spoke with Rap Radar’s Elliot Wilson about the situation. Darden says he was first mainly more concerned with Mr. Cee than how the news of his sexual preference affected the culture.

He also speaks on what he calls the “big issue”; the fact that Cee was breaking the law by soliciting sex from transgender prostitutes and deciding if he should be kept on at the station.

“I can’t fire somebody for enjoying something that we as a society may think is different or weird,” said Ebro. “But if conduct is detrimental to the brand, and they’re out committing crimes then now this is a conversation we have to have.”

Ultimately, the decision was made to allow Cee to stay at Hot 97 after he began therapy. Ebro feels Mister Cee’s private life should not, and will not, affect his professional life.

Ebro also had a few words for those individuals that have an issue with Mr. Cee’s lifestyle. “Some people’s premise for giving a f**k what goes on in someone else’s bedroom they claim it to be some sort of mark on society. Shut the f**k up man. Who are you?”

Tyga Sued By 4th Woman For Sexually Charged Video

(AllHipHop News) Tyga’s got another lawsuit to contend with, stemming from an alleged sexual assault by a person in a rabbit suit.

Allison Brown charges that she was invited to the set of Tyga’s video to be a vixen at a shoot in a Hollywood Hills mansion. She says she was grabbed by a person in a rabbit suit, who proceeded to grind on her from behind. Upon trying to leave, another man grabbed her breast.

Brown also claims Young Money Entertainment gave her liquor when production started, but she was underage at 20.

Eventually, she says was forced to take her top off, exposing her breasts. She claims that he was told that her nipples would not be included in the final edit for “Make It Nasty.”

Brown has charged Brown with sexual battery, fraud, invasion of privacy, and infliction of emotional distress, according to TMZ.

Three other women have sued Tyga in a similar fashion.

Pusha T Says "My Name Is My Name" Recreates 90's Era Hip Hop

(AllHipHop News) Pusha T’s debut solo album, My Name Is My Name, will hark back to the 1990’s according to the Virginia rapper. Pusha sat down with MTV to discuss the upcoming LP and revealed that his main focus for the project was to recreate the exceptional lyrical content associated with the Golden Age of Hip Hop.

“I wanna go to an era and revisit an era that was strictly about lyrics,” said Push. “So I had to go to ’95-’99, a great mixtape era, a great B.I.G./Jay era. To me it was just more so about recreating the greatness of an amazing time.”

Pusha’s appreciation for New York Hip Hop from the late 90’s is even more understandable after he shared a little known fact about him during the interview. The G.O.O.D. Music emcee and his brother, No Malice, were actually born in The Bronx, New York and later moved to Virginia as young children.

Mack Maine Turns Himself In, Faces Felony Assault Charges

(AllHipHop News) Mack Maine has turned himself in on charges that he sexually assaulted a female fan earlier at the end of August.

Maine, the president of Lil Wayne’s Young Money, stands accused from an incident that happened on his boss’ tour bus with a pair of females.

According to MTV News, Maine turned himself in earlier today, as confirmed by the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

The the 31-year-old Maine , born Jermaine Preyan, turned himself in to to the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and was released on bail.

He has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and battery and one count of sexual battery.

According to reports, the rapper/business man invited a pair of females on Wayne’s tour bus during at the Oklahoma City leg of the America’s Most Wanted Tour. On the bus, he allegedly put his hand down one female’s shirt and squeezed her breast with out her consent. The woman says she slapped Maine at the time and she and her friend tried to get off of the bus. It was then that he allegedly punched the friend, breaking her jaw.

Maine has yet to comment on the matter at press time,

Hip-Hop Rumors: Chris Brown Talks Slick About Jay-Z?

Why is Chris Brown talking slick about Jay Z? I’ll tell ya! He’s talking trash, because Jay Z has had a couple bumps in the road (Un Rivera and drug past), but nobody seems to care anymore. Here is what he said in the latest issue of JET Magazine.

“No disrespect, because I’m a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that [Jay Z] stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass.”

There is a big difference:

Thugging is one thing, but beating women is another. JUST SAYING! Plus, Hip-Hop ( and general American culture: likes the renegade. And Jay is a rapper. Some things are more acceptable than a singer.

Remember when people swore this was Jay beating on a chick?
