Rapper Kid Cudi is out as a cast member in the Fox smash “Empire.” The rapper had shot at least one episode, before somehow experiencing “creative differences” with producer’s of the show. Cudi was supposed to be playing an independent musician named Gram, who is a rival of Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere “Yazz” Gray). Cudi has already been replaced by rapper/actor Romeo Miller as Gram.
Rapper Lil Twist is behind bars after failing to show up for a hearing in his assault case. TMZ.com reports that Twist sent a lawyer to rep him in his assault case. Justin Bieber’s former pal has been hit with six felonies after attacking actor Kyle Massey’s brother and then robbing him in November of 2015. Lil Twist eventually showed up to his hearing today after a bench warrant was issued. Twist was charged with for failure to appear in court. If convicted on all charges, he could face 25 years in jail.
Singer R. Kelly has reportedly been hit with a $192,000 tax lien. The “I Believe I Can Fly” hitmaker reportedly owes America’s Internal Revenue Service (IRS) $191,615 in unpaid taxes stemming from income in 2012. This isn’t the first time the 49-year-old has had tax issues – in 2014, he was hit with a $146,530 tax lien by officials at the Illinois Department of Revenue for alleged missed payments in 2009, 2011, and 2012. He also owed a total of $6.2 million for unpaid taxes for the years 2005 to 2011.
